From the beginning to the end, working with The Downtown Band a fantastic experience. We booked The Downtown Band more than a year out and everyone was so professional and communicative during the entire process. This was definitely one thing we did not worry about. The entire band was amazing and everyone was on the dance floor all night. They even called the groom up to participate in a song! Thank you for everything and making the wedding celebration a memorable night!

Downtown Band has knocked it out of the park twice for me. The 1st time was my daughter's wedding in April 2013. We had such a blast I insisted that they come back for an encore at my son's wedding July 2019. Both times we had the full package, Downtown Band GRANDE. The Uptown Girls backup singers are phenomenal & the Horn section adds so much to the fun. My guests were blown away not only with the talent but with the wide variety of their play list. No one wanted to leave! You can't find this type of entertainment on every corner. Memories for a lifetime were made. Thank You DTB!!!

The Downtown Band brought the house down! I knew after I saw them at my cousin’s wedding 2 years ago we had to have them play at our wedding. They truly made our wedding reception a dream! All of our guests are still talking about how much fun the band was. They learned all 3 songs we requested for our first dances and played them live. We were truly impressed. The band read the energy of the room so well. We had the best time! All of our friends have asked for their contact info so they can have them at their weddings.

This band was amazing!!! They made my husband and I’s night! We both vividly remember from our wedding night dancing with all of our guests around us and some of the band members in the middle of the dance floor jamming with us! We highly recommend this band they will make your wedding so much fun!!! We got raving reviews from all of our guests even weeks later! The dance floor was never empty!! We heard The Downtown Band at an event last fall and we knew we wanted them for our wedding! Leading up to the wedding, all we could talk about was how excited we were for the band. The Downtown Band did not disappoint! Words cannot describe just how amazing they were and how much our guests loved them. They came prepared to wow the crowd. They were energetic and engaging, and the night was absolutely epic! We had the best time and they were part of what made our wedding the best day of our life. We want them to come back every year and celebrate with us!

My husband found the downtown band for our wedding. I can’t say enough about how wonderful they were from start to finish. Everyone of our guests has bragged and complimented the band. We had the best time, and so did all of our guests. It’s been a few months, and we keep receiving comments about “that band.” Truly, it was an endlessly memorable party for our guests. After being together almost 12 years already, our wedding was formulated more as a huge party for all of our friends and family—no down moments, several bars—and the downtown band delivered exactly what was asked; they kept the momentum up all night until they left for the night. We can’t say thank you enough for making the environment what it was. From the band members to the dancers to the string quartet, everyone was so vital, vibrant, and glamorous. Justin Caldwell and the entire band are extremely talented, and there is simply nothing like having live music that reverberates through a crowd. Would make the same decision 10 times over.

The Downtown Band is the BEST cover band I have ever seen! My husband and I were so impressed with their professionalism, kindness and fun personalities! It rained on our wedding day and, Jordan, their lead singer, told my husband and I that it rained on his and his wife’s wedding day and was super positive and excited to party with us! It felt like we were talking with an old friend. In fact the whole band felt like friends by the end of the night. One of our groomsman gave one of the female singers an Ohio State jersey to wear on stage and when she put it on our Ohio friends and family went wild! My husband and I even got onstage with our whole bridal party for the last song! The band was super high energy and kept our guests dancing all night from start to finish! By the end we were all chanting one more song!! All of our guests said it was the best wedding band they had ever seen! We didn’t want the party to end! They learned our first dance and father/ daughter, mother/son songs especially for our occasion and played songs by our favorite artists!!! If you are looking for a super high energy band that will totally customize your experience, The Downtown Band is it!

Stop looking for your wedding band. I received more compliments on them than any other aspect of our wedding reception at Cheekwood in Nashville. They were fantastic and the dance floor was packed from start to finish. They are also incredibly nice people. I can't say it enough-- Book. Them.

BOOK THIS BAND! They were, hands down, the best band I have ever heard at a wedding (not even being biased that it was my own wedding!) and I've had multiple guests say the same thing. They were so professional from day one, and very helpful in the planning process. Their performance was better than I could have imagined. Impeccable voices, incredible variety in the music styles they could cover, professional musicianship and very interactive with the crowd. There is nothing I would change about my experience with the band, I just wish I could hire them for another event!

My husband and I are still raving (as well as all of our guests) about The Downtown Band! They couldn't have been the more perfect choice for ALL of our wedding music (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception). We included the brass instruments and the female vocals which were amazing! The Downtown Band was worth every penny and definitely made the night. We chose not to give one single song request and trusted the band's selections- they chose a wide range of songs that kept ALL of our guests dancing until the very end of the ceremony. We had The Downtown Band at our wedding on 8/12/17 and they were amazing! So many of our guests came up to us and said how much they loved the band and what a great job they had done. They were high energy, could read the crowd, played a mix of music and got everyone involved; at the end of the night everyone was chanting "one more song". They were extremely easy to work, and worked directly with our venue to arrange logistics so we never had to worry about a thing. They were one of our best vendor decisions, we would highly recommend!!

NO WORDS FOR THEIR TALENT! WOW! The downtown band was AMAZING! They came the Kiawah Island for us - and everyone LOVED them. They were so fun and they really were able to read the crowd and play what our guests wanted. In addition, they learned 3-4 songs just for us with no complaints. The Downtown Band played at my wedding on 9/24/16 and I am still just blown away!!!! They are absolutely incredible and as soon as the first dances ended, everyone jumped on the dance floor and never left!!! We are still getting compliments from our guests and I cannot be more thankful for how much fun they made our night! We saw them in Nashville when we were still prospecting and I knew from the first time I saw them that they were going to kill it and they definitely did not disappoint. I was actually sad when the night came to an end because it was so much fun!! I have recommended them to everyone and anyone and hope to see a show of theirs again soon!! The Downtown Band played for our wedding in May 2016 were absolutely amazing! They did both a cocktail hour instrumental set and we had the full 10 piece band for later in the reception. They got literally everyone out on the dance floor and so many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed the music. Thanks very much to the Downtown Band - we couldn't recommend them more highly!

This band was well worth the money! My husband and I knew we wanted a live band for our wedding but we didn't really know how it would all work (as the bride this was something that stressed me out!) But with The Downtown Band you should never worry! They are true professionals in every sense of the word. They came prepared with an AMAZING set list, knew how to get the guests dancing and ended on such a high note (Don't Stop Believing) that I think our guests will be talking about wedding for months to come! The band blew me and my husband away by singing all of our "first dance" songs (Do You Remember - Jack Johnson, Father Daughter Song - Paul Simon, Wonderful World - Louie Armstrong) and nailed every single song! (If you are not familiar with the songs they all have a very different sound so it was very impressive to us that they sung all three perfectly!) Throughout the night I had guests of all ages coming up to me to tell me how awesome this band was! I had Uncles and Aunts who have attended many, many weddings tell me this was their favorite wedding because of the band! While The Downtown Band may not be the best "value" and you can certainly find bands that are less expensive, if you want an experience to truly remember with a band that makes the experience completely stress free I HIGHLY recommend this band. As an aside we had the 7 piece band (with the two backup singers) which is what I would recommend to someone who is seriously considering this band.

We had the Downtown Band perform for our Nashville wedding reception at aVenue and they were absolutely AMAZING! The dance floor was packed all night long and our guests have not stopped raving about the band! Our guests have told us that our reception was like an awesome party, concert and show all in one! Our reception would not have been the same without this amazing group of performers. The band even learned and beautifully performed an obscure Lady Antebellum song for my husband's "Mother-Son" dance with his mom. By the end of the night, my husband and I were on stage dancing along with the band! The pictures and the memories are priceless. This band is top-notch!

The Downtown Band was amazing! We received so many compliments from our guests on how awesome they were. Justin, the band leader, was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. They learned two songs for us (first dance/father daughter dance) in a very short amount of time and performed it just as well as the original artist. The entire band was energetic throughout the entire night and kept the party alive with their seamless transitions between songs. If you are considering having a band perform at your wedding, I would recommend to book them immediately!

Can't say enough about The Downtown Band's awesome performance and how easy they made setting up the music for our wedding. I went back and re-read some of the reviews and completely agree with all of them. We were planning our wedding from New York so we actually booked them sight unseen. The videos don't do them justice. They are so much better live. And they managed the logistics process seamlessly. We filled out a questionnaire and Justin and team pretty much took it from there. If you're ok with outsourcing some of the decision-making in the wedding, I would recommend leaving the song choices in their hands, they have such a good feel for the crowd. It's hard to explain it but all I can say that we got countless compliments from our guests on their performance. Their range is amazing and with the full band, we were really surprised at some of the songs they were able to pull off. We've seen a number of bands at other weddings and The Downtown Band was much more unique (i.e. you won't just get run-of-the-mill Journey). Highly recommend The Downtown Band and couldn't be happier with our decision to book them.

Wow! This band was fantastic. I suppose it would be unusual for the father-or-the-bride to write a review on this site. Yet, I was so taken back at what a great job Justin and the rest of the band did at my daughter's wedding that I felt compelled to write. Simply put, I could not have envisioned a better performance. They were everything that we hoped for and much more. Not only were they talented singers and musicians, but also great performers! From the first note until the last, they had everyone -- young and old -- on the dance floor having the time of their lives. We had a rather large wedding, and usually there are more than a few who do not get involved with dancing and, more or less, sit back and enjoy/watch. Not the case with Justin and The Downtown Band. Their choice of music and the way in which they engaged everyone was infectious. I have had a great many people tell me in the days that followed the wedding that although they have been to receptions with great bands, ours easily topped them all. I could not be more pleased with the band. In addition, they were very professional and easy to work with. Of all the myriad of details that surrounded my daughter's wedding, the band was perhaps the easiest. I am most happy to highly recommend The Downtown Band. We had the entire 10 members perform -- including the brass section and back-up singers. It was an additional cost, but more than worth it.

The Downtown Band played at our daughter and son in law's wedding in Atlanta over Labor Day Weekend. They were professional from start to finish. They look great, sound phenomenal, and put on a fantastic show! Everyone in the ballroom was dancing, including an 80+ year old Great Aunt, who uses a cane. Starting with The Hora, The Downtown Band never took a break and kept a high energy intensity going for well over 2 1/2 hours. They were amazing and we highly recommend them!!!!

We picked this band without ever seeing them before based off of their reviews and our email exchanges with Justin. We then had the fortunate opportunity to see them at a friend of ours wedding and we were not disappointed! However, Justin, the lead singer, was asked to go on tour with some great acts and would not be able to sing at our wedding. We were a little apprehensive at first because he was one of the main reasons we booked them, but after coming down in price and assuring us their replacement, Robbie, would be just as good, we decided to stay with them. And we were so happy we did! We, along with everyone else, danced from the moment the reception began to the moment it ended. Our guests were even chanting "One more song!" at the end of their set list. We had such an amazing day, and the Downtown Band definitely played a part in that!!

The band played great covers, were very talented, and were super energetic. They kept the party going, and were super entertaining to dance to and to watch as they were great performers. I wish I would have known about them for my wedding!

You know a wedding is good when your friends keep bringing it up 8 months later! What they keep bringing up is how much fun they had dancing at our wedding. When my wife and I were planning our wedding, one of our most important things was to have a full dance floor. We love dancing and wanted our family and friends out there too. I can't tell you how many weddings we've been to where no one really danced or there were so many dumb themed dances that we never had a chance to really get out there. The Downtown Band was perfect! WARNING: Only hire them if you want to dance and have fun! I've never danced so much at a wedding. I think I barely stopped for 3 hours. They are so much fun, energetic, and current with their music. We loved how much energy they brought to the venue and if they can get keep 100+ people dancing for hours then you know you have a great band! I can't recommend them enough. So easy to work with before the event and so much fun to dance to!

This band offers all that parents of the bride and groom want! From the first time that we contacted them to the magical wedding reception, they delivered....exceptional communication skills, detailed planning, gracious accommodations , a stunning stage presence, infectious energy, but most importantly ... Fantabulous music! They are talented musicians and consummate professionals! We are sooo glad that we chose to have the full band! Family and friends are singing their praise. When we broadened our search a little, we knew we wanted The Downtown Band despite the 4+ hour drive from Nashville. Totally worth it! We are now a few weeks removed from our wedding, and we've received numerous comments from our guests that the band was just awesome. They appealed to all audiences/generations equally.
