The Dowry Bridal Salon

The Dowry Bridal has SO many gorgeous dresses (even in plus sizes!), and at much more affordable prices than other wedding stores in the area! The owner, Lindsey, was super kind and enthusiastic as she helped me try on a TON of wedding dresses. All of them were so beautiful, and Lindsey was able to show me a variety of accessories like veils, capes, and a hoop skirt, so I could really imagine the full wedding look. She was very knowledgeable about the dresses and gave me a good idea of what kinds of alterations might be needed for each dress, the range of how much it might cost, and even gave me three recommendations for local tailors. She was also really responsive when I contacted her for appointments and follow-up questions. There were so many good options at my first visit that I couldn't decide, lol, so I came back for a second visit and Lindsey was very patient with me as I deliberated at length over my top three haha. She made it a really fun experience, and I found a really stunning dress that will be perfect for our woodsy fall wedding. She even gave me a little bottle of sparkling cider when I chose my dress, which was a really cute and thoughtful touch. Not gonna lie, I was originally planning to order a dress from the internet and call it good, but figured I might as well try one in-person visit somewhere to see what I like first. I'm so glad I did the appointment with The Dowry Bridal. It was low-pressure and fun, the dress I chose is high quality, and Lindsey had a lot of expertise that I would've missed out on otherwise. Plus, the appointment fee goes towards the final cost of your dress! And, it's always good to support a Lansing small business! Overall, 10/10 would recommend, and definitely worth it.
