While I was waiting for my second appointment (so mom and sister could be in attendance as I "found my dress"), I--somewhat unexpectedly--found my dress elsewhere and called to cancel my appointment with 15 minutes notice. Debra immediately congratulated me and expressed her happiness that I found my dress. She was not upset with me or rude about the short-notice cancellation. Rather, she reminded me of their in-house seamstress if I needed any help with alterations. Even though I didn't purchase my wedding here, I still HIGHLY recommend Debra at The Dress. Thank you Debra, for being an awesome human being. Your kind heartedness is still appreciated!

I wasn’t even going to bother making this post, but those interactions have convinced me to do so in the hopes that others might avoid such entanglements. Long story short - my dress disappeared within the consignment contract period. I inquired about it before the contract ended and was given various evolving stories about what happened to it, and my contract was not honored. The courts decided in our favor. The store owner (Hannah) delayed the case, appealed, complained to the judge that my husband’s online review was unfairly hurting her business, and threatened to accuse us of defamation if we spoke about the case. The facts of the case are public information available on MO Casenet. Before you enter into a contract with any person or business, it’s a good idea to search the business name and the various legal names of the owner on your state’s Casenet database to see if they are frequently engaged in legal battles.

ere went out of their way to tell me how beautiful I looked in my dress and my consultant was there to meet my every need! I felt so special and I couldn't have had a better experience! I would 10/10 recommend shopping here!

back of it up when I tried the dress on in store. I loved it and purchased it. I picked my dress up two weeks before I left for my elopement. The dresses here are purchased as is. So one would think everything would be exactly the way you purchase it. To my disappointment I am in Florida and my fiancé is about to help me put my dress on for our wedding and we untie the ribbon for the corset that they have undone and tied up to the side. It was TORE to SHREDS right in the middle of the ribbon. I called the owner in tears upset over this. She tells me it's not her problem and I must have damaged after I left with it. She said I shouldn't have waited 15 mins before my wedding to look at it. If I purchase something from a business I expect what I purchased. Due to this incident we missed almost our entire ceremony time at sunset on the beach. It's irreplaceable. It's something I can't have back. To be treated like that on my wedding day is disgusting. For the owner to claim she loves making brides dreams come true is far from what I experienced. She didn't even offer a apology. To top it all off, I called this morning to talk to her. She has now changed her story claiming she told me the dress was damaged. Claiming she gave me $99 of because of it. If that were the case I would not have bought it or would have fixed it. My mother, sister and another family member were there and all said she never informed me of this. Clearly since her story has changed she knows she is at fault. I am heart broken over my experience here. To not only never apologize but to try and put blame on me is sad. I hope no other bride every experiences what I did. So thankful that I have such a loving now husband who helped fix it so I could at least get married in it. As for this business I will make sure to worn others not to do business here.
