Since making our initial post about Hannah Diemer aka Hannah Moreno and The Dress, we have been contacted by multiple individuals who have had to file civil suits or are considering le...
gal action against this business and/or owner. I wasn’t even going to bother making this post, but those interactions have convinced me to do so in the hopes that others might avoid such entanglements.
Long story short - my dress disappeared within the consignment contract period. I inquired about it before the contract ended and was given various evolving stories about what happened to it, and my contract was not honored. The courts decided in our favor.
The store owner (Hannah) delayed the case, appealed, complained to the judge that my husband’s online review was unfairly hurting her business, and threatened to accuse us of defamation if we spoke about the case. The facts of the case are public information available on MO Casenet.
DM me if you would like to see the evidence we brought to court, which includes photos, our recorded phone conversation with Hannah, receipts, contract, and email correspondence.
Before you enter into a contract with any person or business, it’s a good idea to search the business name and the various legal names of the owner on your state’s Casenet database to see if they are frequently engaged in legal battles.
