The Dressing Room Pawleys Island

The Dressing Room was the best experience. It was intimate, and so special. They also have a great selection, with affordable prices. This was my first bridal shop, and I fell in love. I was not expecting to say yes to the dress, but I did, and I owe that to y'all!!

Cassie went ABOVE & BEYOND my expectations!! She was fun and energetic, but also very knowledgeable and professional. She also was very patient and listened to exactly what I was looking for and that really allowed me to say YES to the dress! As someone who was nervous about the whole process and overwhelmed by the choices, Cassie was able to help narrow the dresses down and make me feel like I made the best choice. I am so in love with my dress and now I'm looking forward to wearing it when I marry the love of my life. She truly made the day magical and memorable.

I had a wonderful experience here! Cassie went above and beyond to help me find the perfect dress. My dress also required several alterations, which were handled by Anita, and she did an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend all brides-to-be visit The Dressing Room!

I would highly recommend The Dressing Room. My visit here was a success. Alex was wonderful. She showed us the layout of the store as far as the dresses are hung by color of hangers and style. There was also one side of the store that had discontinued dresses or dresses from last year styles that you could still order if they did not have a size to fit you. I picked out several to try on and alone with my bride maid that was with me, after see what I chose and trying those on, Alex pulled some for me. I landed up buying a dress off the rack and took it home. Alex knew I wanted sleeves and she pulled some samples they had in stock and we put those on with the dress. She even pulled up some on a website for me to look over. She had even suggested for me to buy material and have the seamstress to make them. I was very pleased and happy with my visit at The Dressing Room.

My appointment was amazing! As soon as I stepped into the shop, Jordan was so helpful and welcoming. She explained the process well and helped with every dress I tried on. The Dressing Room was a perfect environment for a one-on-one appointment! I said yes to the dress and it was the perfect day! I highly recommend!!

First off, I went into this appointment already defeated that I wouldn’t find a dress. However, when I arrived at the Dressing Room, I was greeted by Sally. It was just me, my mother, and Sally in the store for my appointment. I told Sally that I had no idea what I wanted or where to start. Sally was super knowledgeable and let me pick out some dresses and she said as you try on, we can get more of a feel of what dresses you like. She was right. Sally never rushed me, she always asked if there was something I liked or didn’t like about the dress. The first dress I tried on was the dress I bought. I’m pretty sure Sally knew that but she didn’t make me feel bad for trying on different styles just to make sure. I highly recommend the Dressing Room in Pawley’s Island. They have a great price range and excellent selections. I honestly can’t say enough great things about this place!

I had an absolutely wonderful dress shopping experience with. The Dressing Room from the point of scheduling to picking up my dress! I worked with Sally from TDR and immediately felt nothing but comfort and radiant energy coming from her. She worked with my in a professional/friendly manner, was respectful of my budget and ideas, and gave the most AMAZING suggestions! Cassie was amazing! I really went in having no idea what I wanted to wear and she helped me find the perfect dress! She made me feel so pretty in everything I tried on! I love how fun she made it feel I usually hate trying on clothes and this was so much fun! Her system for naming the dresses and hanging them on the wall in first, second and third place made the appointment so much fun and easier to keep track of what you like versus don’t like. Honestly I have had bad experiences in the past and Cassie just made it so much more fun! I absolutely love the dress I got and the experience as a whole and highly recommend anyone to this boutique that is looking for a dress!

Sally & Cassie both listened to my needs, they made me feel heard and had suggestions of their own. The manager worked with me on a payment plan and helped me stay in my budget..even after suggesting a veil that went perfect with my dress. I had an amazing experience at The Dressing Room in Pawleys Island. At the time, I was feeling a bit deflated after not finding off-the-rack options I loved at other bridal salons (with less than 90 days until the wedding due to an opening at a venue we loved). My sister found this bridal boutique online while we were visiting on vacation. Not only did I find a dress I loved, there were even a few other dresses that would have been just as wonderful (and made the decision actually difficult!). There were so many beautiful options that we knew halfway through the appointment that we would be picking a dress from this place. What made the experience even better was Cassie. She was incredible -- from her overall approach to the advice and support she provided throughout to me and my accompanying family. She even encouraged me to hold on the decision for a day given how torn I was between two options. Knowing the short timeline, she also expedited the cleaning, and then called to update me on timing (which was even better than originally expected). Honestly, everything was perfect about this experience. I highly highly recommend!

What a wonderful experience working with Alex at The Dressing Room. After trying on SO many dresses and going to too many stores, The Dressing Room was the perfect experience for me. The employees are informative, personable, kind and courteous. The dress selection wasn't overwhelming, yet extensive. I 100% recommend.

Do yourself a favor, book your first and only appointment here, you won't need to go anywhere else. This was the first thing I did after getting engaged and I have no regrets. I also had no idea what I wanted or what I even looked good in. Cassie was beyond amazing in helping me figure that out and explained different styles and fits. She took her time with me, I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision or buy something. They also have a great system at helping even the most indecisive brides narrow down their choices. Cassie found the dress that I said yes to even though I didnt care for it on the hanger, she has such an amazing eye and talent! I paid much less than I expected and I found the perfect veil to match.

I had been to four dress shops prior to The Dressing Room and one after, their collection of gowns were gorgeous and affordable. Their staff was welcoming and knowledgeable.

My husband and I got married in December 2022 and I bought my dress from the Dressing Room in March 2022. They were absolutely INCREDIBLE! They came highly recommended from our wedding venue, Pawleys Plantation, and I can absolutely see why. Alex made the entire process so easy and stress free, and they have very reasonable prices, especially compared with how crazy expensive wedding dresses can be. She answered all of our questions and made the entire process very unique and special to me and my family. We cannot recommend the Dressing Room enough to everyone we know. Thank you for the best wedding dress EVER!!!!

Alex literally makes you feel like you are best friends! She listens to everything you like, don’t like and pulls dresses based on that. She lets you and your entourage pull dresses too and honestly makes you feel like the queen you are! I am a curvy bride and I never felt like I couldn’t see myself in something because of size constraints. The store may look small but the choices seemed endless! I could not have been happier with my experience at the Dressing Room!

I fell in love with all of the dresses at The Dressing Room. I came in with a mixture of ideas in what I was looking for and Alex helped combine all those ideas together to find the perfect dress for me. She is fun and energetic and makes every minute of the apt worth your time. I never once felt pressured to select a dress when I was there. I am the type of person that has to sleep on big decisions like the perfect dress and Alex understood that. She was flexible and worked with my late evening appointment and my crazy busy schedule when it came down to ordering my dress. Overall, my experience at the dressing room was absolutely wonderful.

Sally was awesome. I made an appointment online and brought some close family with me to get opinions. We were the only people in the shop it was awesome to be an exclusive experience for me as I am very self conscious about my body image and didnt want a bunch of people I didnt know seeing me put different dresses on. She explained the layout of the dresses, they are on different hangers according to price and they separate them according to discontinued (take home now dresses) and need to be ordered. She asked what budget was (1k) and I showed her a few inspo photos and she went to the racks and started picking some dresses from the order side. Myself and my family starting looking at the discontinued side. All gorgeous dresses and in my budget I couldn't believe it! Sally didn't try and push me outside of my budget and suggested really beautiful dresses!! After about an hour and 10 or so dresses. I found 2 I loved! I ended up buying one of them that day. The next day I called Sally and told her I just really loved both and was interested in the otherone as well. She gave me a great deal and I got 2 dresses in my budget. I was blown away!! I also was very lucky that both dresses I loved were my size. It was meant to be. Sally is my Fairy Godmother. 🥰

Alex was fabulous to work with! I made an appointment 4 months prior to my wedding to only “try on” dresses to get some ideas. She immediately took me to the “buy off the rack” section due to the time frame and I loved every dress I tried on! Brides! RUN, do not walk to The Dressing Room Pawleys Island! This place has so many amazing dresses in every single price range and the staff is fantastic. This was the first place that I went to try on wedding dresses and I literally cancelled all of my other appointments that night. When I say DEAL OF A LIFE TIME, I mean it. I found my dream dress at a 92.5% discount. Cassie was SO helpful and has such a keen eye for detail. She picked up on my style and vibe right away and found the most amazing selection of dresses for me all within my fairly tight budget. Sally at The Dressing Room is literally my fairy godmother! After ordering and receiving a dress from a different boutique, I knew it was not my dress. However, I had already tried on the style that I actually did want to go with. The problem was that the boutique I originally went to sold the sample that I tried on, and the designer was unable to get me a new one in until after my wedding date. Major panic mode. I live in the Savannah area, so I decided to call some boutiques in South Carolina, the first being The Dressing Room. Ended up not needing to call anymore. Sally answered the phone, I explained my situation, told her the gown I wanted and asked if they had a sample in my size that they would be willing to sell me off the floor. She immediately said YES! She made sure it was the right size and that I had previously tried it on. The next morning I called with payment. I received an invoice, receipt, and tracking number immediately via email. They packaged up the gown and I received it in two business days. It is absolutely beautiful and in perfect condition. Although I didn't get to actually step foot in their store (it looks beautiful!), I would highly recommend this boutique based on the customer service and communication I received via phone and email.
