She picked up on my style and vibe right away and found the most amazing selection of dresses for me all within my fairly tight budget. The selection at the shop was so great too! They had designers and dresses I couldn't find anywhere else around, and I actually had multiple dresses to choose from! as that the boutique I originally went to sold the sample that I tried on, and the designer was unable to get me a new one in until after my wedding date. Major panic mode. I live in the Savannah area, so I decided to call some boutiques in South Carolina, the first being The Dressing Room. Ended up not needing to call anymore. Sally answered the phone, I explained my situation, told her the gown I wanted and asked if they had a sample in my size that they would be willing to sell me off the floor. She immediately said YES! She made sure it was the right size and that I had previously tried it on. The next morning I called with payment. I received an invoice, receipt, and tracking number immediately via email. They packaged up the gown and I received it in two business days. It is absolutely beautiful and in perfect condition. Although I didn't get to actually step foot in their store (it looks beautiful!), I would highly recommend this boutique based on the customer service and communication I received via phone and email. my eye because I really liked the designer collections they carried and they had good reviews. I brought my mother, mother-in-law and close family friend. Once we got to the store the doors were closed and we had the entire store to ourselves. Cassie looked at the dresses from my Pinterest Board and right away got my vision and helped me pick out a lot of beautiful dresses. Their collection was very impressive and it was difficult to find a dress that wasn't beautiful. Cassie really took her time with me and respected what I wanted but made sure I tried on different styles to help me realize my vision. Thank God she did because it's so hard to pick a dress from the rack and know it's going to be the one! I as well as everyone who came with me had a wonderful time. We never felt rushed or pushed with the budget or style. I ended up finding a gorgeous dress that my entourage loved as well. Cassie really made me feel special and beautiful which is how you should feel at your bridal appointment. I'm so excited to return for my fitting and to wear my dress again. I can't recommend Cassie and The Dressing Room enough!

d the idea of being sold to, and having a consultant tell me that I looked "stunning" in everything I tried on. But that was not the case with Cassie. She was wonderful from start to finish! She truly listened to my budget and didn't give me a cheesy sales pitch. She told me if she thought a dress wouldn't flatter my body type and would make suggestions for dresses similar that would look better. She was genuine and real - something you don't find often in the wedding industry. She even suggested the dress I ended up buying! They also have sample sizes that weren't all on the small end. Other shops I went too only offered small or plus size samples, which made trying on dresses equal parts difficult and degrading. It was so nice to try on something that actually fit. (For reference I'm a size 10 street size.) I highly recommend The Dressing Room and working w/ Cassie!

r other stores. So they had them shipped in for me to try. I went to about 8 various bridal shops and they delivered the most personal experience. They did not pressure me at all and had really great suggestions for accessories and other wedding vendors I still needed. The seamstress, Mrs. Anita was a miracle worker!!! I'm a plus size woman and they never let me feel any different. My designer was Maggie Soterro and she really knows how to make plus size ladies look great! I did not find my dress or anything similar in any other stores. They really have a unique and extremely stylish selection. Their shop is super cute and fashionable as well. Highly recommend this shop, don't waste your time at any other stores. These ladies will find you your dream dress!

hoped it would allow me to get a feel for the style of dress I was looking for. As it turned out, the appointment ended up being my first and last dress shopping experience. I fell in love...and not just with a dress. The store is quaint and quiet and being the only client there eased my nerves right away. And then there was Cassie! She was helpful, but not pushy and so very knowledgeable, which I needed because I had no idea what I was looking for. Now I can move on to planning other parts of my wedding because I know that Cassie will have me looking fabulous on my big day! Seriously, don't overlook this place. Between the selection, the store and the people...I'm not sure better exists! I will be singing their praises for years to come.

make it until they were closing at 5pm on a thursday and they stayed there past closing to make sure I was able to try on my dress and move forward! We had the entire store to ourselves and they already had the few dresses I picked out ahead of time plus some. Once I started trying them on and they started seeing what I liked/looked good in, they suggested more dresses within the price range I was wanting to stay in. If it was a little over they asked and never pushed. I ended up getting a dress they suggested that I would not have picked from the looks of it on the hanger. These women truly rock and I am so thankful to have them along with me on this fun wedding ride! Thank you so much for my beautiful dress, I could not be happier!!

nd my dream dress! My only suggestion is to find your own seamstress! When all was said and done and I was finally able to bring my dress home I noticed how make issues I had with the alterations. I think with all of my excitement of putting the dress on in the shop I didn’t even realize the problems at first. The only alterations that I originally needed were to shorten the length on the front of the dress and the band holding the dress up on the inside needed to be tighter. Everything else was perfect. When I got the dress back for the final time I realized that the dress still needed a few inches taken off because I was still tripping on the front, the bottom of the dress looked like someone cut around the edge with craft scissors, instead of taking the time to move the lace appliqués when hemming the dress it was just folded together and sewed which looked very messy, the band was not tight enough to keep the dress from falling, and somehow the bustle would not stay and the bottom button was completely frayed (not sure how that last one happened seeing as I had never clasped the buttons). I ended up having to spend hundreds on having all of this fixed elsewhere, I had to cancel my bridal portraits because I was not able to get my dress back until a few days before the wedding, and although everyone was very nice when I discussed my concerns I was never given any sort of refund. In the end everything worked out and my dream dress was fixed, but I would absolutely suggest that you stick with a trusted seamstress!

I’m a bit of an introvert & doing things such as dress shopping really isn’t high on my list. Walking in, I was shaking like Shakira’s hips & immediately Cassie was a nice warm calming bowl of soup. She is diligent, kind, super knowledgeable, creative – pretty much – a breath of fresh air! In the actual dressing room, there was a framed sign on the little table Welcoming The Future Mrs ….. that made me giggle and also a little emotional … whoa, this getting married thing is really happening. In my mind, I was doing cartwheels around the shop. Cassie had pre-pulled options based on the photos I emailed to her. She was so helpful every step of the way. I said Yes! to the dress that day. 😊 I now have ants in my pants waiting for it to come in so I can put it on again. ❤

tion. My mother-in-law confirmed it was not a good question to ask. But okay, let’s say this information makes everyone’s life easier and there’s nothing wrong, just a little bit straight out the gate. So I said that my budget was around 1500 because this is average amount of money brides spend in the USA and I wasn’t really prepared for this kind of question so I answered pretty abstractly. But, obviously, I am prepared to spend a little more money if I can really find the perfect dress. So the manager, her name is Sally, explained me that different colors of hangers are different price levels and I wanted to try on some dresses over 1500 but I wasn’t even shown them. When I found out I didn’t try them, I asked the manager and she said to me “we are not able to order them, I just checked”. I was like okay, thats super weird that dresses which are all “over my budget” all can’t be ordered. But I couldn’t see at the time that she was lying to me. So, my mom in law later in the day said “yes, I saw how she put back all dresses you took and when I asked her why you didn’t try it, the manager said “it’s over her budget”. And every time when I was asking to try something, the manager was CONSTANTLY saying “it’s over your budget, it’s over your budget”. So, I left the store and texted the manager at home that there are some dresses by Justin Alexander I saw on website and wanted her to check what kind she has. She said she will look and send them to me to look at. Never happened. In a month or two (After I already found a nice place in Charleston to buy my dress) I stopped there to look for veils and they didn’t allow me even look, because apparently they are only “by appointment”. So I left my phone number, and guess what, they never called me. I don’t know how this place have such a great rating with such terrible customer service.

Prior to this appointment, I honestly thought I was going to need to create a custom gown, as I’m SO PICKY with dresses - but Sally hit the nail on the head. While we succeeded early, she still made the appointment so fun & special, helped me FaceTime my closest friends & take some photos with me and my family. If you are interested in a beautiful salon with beautiful staff who make your vision come to life within your budget, I highly recommend TDR.

agined! I had two appointments, at which Sally and Cassie were each wonderful with helping me choose a dress that suited me while imagining the appropriate accessories for each one. They both were so on their game clipping me in to each dress, I really did feel like a princess! They are friendly, warm and kind and only have the client's best interest in mind. At no time did I feel any pressure to decide or go with anything I didn't want, and I appreciated that immensely. It was delightful to have the full attention of the staff, have my own dressing room, and the island for hanging my favorites as I went along. Being able to stand on the pedestal in front of a big mirror really helped me get a feel for each dress. I chose the very first dress I tried on, yet I wouldn't change a thing about the whole experience. Phenomenal.

But the small details to making all of us feel comfortable being there as it was a larger group which can be a lot of opinions, being the only ones in the store, and even preparing a Future Mrs. Williams sign in the dressing room. Could not have asked for a better experience. Sally was amazing!! She was so supportive and helpful with understanding and locking into my personal style.

We were the only group in the shop for my appointment which I really liked. Sally did not rush us through the appointment and even suggested dresses for me to try on. She let my friends grab dresses and put them in the fitting room for me. She was not pushy at all. It was a very comfortable experience.
