The Duke Sculpture Garden at the Dixon Mansion

t gallery, sculpture garden, and community arts center out in Wallingford (Delco) that donates some of the proceeds from the venue fee back to the community arts programs. If you’re an artsy person who wants a whimsical garden-style venue and also loves giving back to the community, this might be the place for you! The other gorgeous feature of the venue is a castle-style stone turret in the garden that truly makes the place look like something out of a fairy tale. Our guests loved taking photos in front of the castle!

to gather. Inside you’ll find classic Victorian architecture with detailed woodwork which leads to a clean, modern reception area in their community art gallery. The space also serves as a community arts center. Highly recommend this as a unique, yet timeless, wedding venue.

l to the wedding. The space was so grand and I loved all of the art in the reception space! We had our ceremony in the upstairs ballroom, and it was such a magical space. It easily accommodated our 80 guests along with a pianist. The gardens were wonderful for pictures and cocktail hour, and we had late night pizza and the fire pit which were a big hit! All of the food was incredible and all of our guests made a point to tell us how much they enjoyed the day. I had a lot of guests coming in from out of town and the venue was so convenient to the airport, which was a big plus for us!

tside in the garden with the stone tower in the background. The cocktail hour followed outside with the pizza oven being a big hit. We were so lucky the day was sunny and about 68 degrees. In April the spring flowers are blooming and the artwork is set throughout the garden. Most of our guests were unaware of this venue and were amazed. The estate has a gallery hall with vaulted ceilings where we had our reception with a sit down dinner and dancing. There is also a beautiful ballroom with high ceilings and a fireplace which is original to the estate. This is the room we would have used if the weather had been bad, but also the setting is wonderful for cooler weather. The entire estate is yours for the day. After dinner some guests moved outside where the garden is lit up and a fire pit for smores was waiting. The location is close to all main roads with hotels nearby. This was a postponed covid wedding. When we originally went to look at the venue it was first on our list of three to visit. Once the happy couple saw the stone tower in the garden they felt they didn't have to look at anything else. We used Ace Limo Service, Leigh Florist of Audubon, NJ, Bachelor Boys Music, and Jeffrey Miller Catering is the caterer for the venue. We used Dan Toonz caricature services instead of a photo booth. All of the vendors were perfect for this unique site. This venue made my daughter's dreams come true and I for the first time was in the moment and enjoyed the day. Most of our guests stayed at the Marriott Hotel (Springfield Country Club). Don't let the fact that it is close to Rt. 475 scare you - we never heard it and it's great for the location. Additional parking was just added. This is an old estate so the restrooms are singles, this was a major concern for me. There are a total of four in the three story estate with an elevator. With proper signage it was fine. Jeffrey Miller Catering is the venue's caterer and contact group. The food options were all wonderful as was the staff. I highly recommend this venue and caterer for being unique and priced appropriately. Thank you for making the day very special

lanning have been kind and attentive, I felt so good after our Zoom session! I like this company because they pick spaces that are historical, beautiful, nonprofit or preserved places that typically function as something other than just a wedding venue on off days/off season. (Because of this, there are some restrictions as to what can be brought onto the properties.) I hope we don't get rain because the outdoor space here is stunning. We attended a tasting with JAM recently, which was so much fun - and the food is absolutely incredible. Can't wait for everyone to try it at our wedding!

ne commented on the food and the end of the night snacks were a huge hit. We have heard so many great comments about the event! Everything ran so smooth, Courtney kept us calm and were such a great guide during the event. It was great having a “go to” person who had all the answers! Ashley was on top of everything when she handed it off to her and the night ended very nicely.

I felt so taken care of, especially on our wedding day. I barely had to lift a finger. The staff were all sunshines of my day and I am so happy with our decision to get married here and use JAM.
