The Elm is such a beautiful place to get married! It's a very unique venue and adds a lot of charm to whatever type of wedding you are planning. Working with Sharon and Bill leading up to our event was very easy, and they were super flexible when we had to postpone our day due to COVID. Highly recommend!
The Elm is a real gem! The garden is gorgeous and so lush, the interior is very charming and has a whimsical air to it, and there are so many options for your perfect layout. The highlight for us was Sharon, for sure. She is amazing and is there every step of the way, plus she knows everyone in the neighborhood and can help connect you with experienced and professional vendors who know how things work at the venue. We had around 100 people plus staff and it was the perfect size for us, and that’s with a seared meal, dancing, a bar, a photo booth, and an ice cream truck! Parking was also a breeze, which is a miracle for the neighborhood. Overall, every part of the experience was seamless and our wedding day was a dream come true!
I'm fresh off our wedding day, and one of my favorite parts was our BEAUTIFUL, eclectic venue. Not one of our guests had experienced it before, and it was so perfect for our two-bride wildflower garden themed party. We used the outside area for a ceremony, and it was perfection. We used the inside rooms for our cocktail reception with dancing, and our guests were on the dance floor all evening and enjoying all our food stations. Sharon was a pleasure to work with, and she acted as a ceremony 'day of' coordinator, helping orchestrate us going down the aisles and ensuring the music was perfect. She did a great job touching base with all our vendors and handling the day of set up. We had great communication with her. We had about 65 guests, which was perfect for the venue size. We could have gone larger as well, but I loved being able to see and spend time with everyone. We did not do a seated dinner, but rather stations and an eclectic assortment of seating, which worked out perfectly. There are lots of spaces to rest drinks and food, so no one was left balancing plates. There were a lot of cool spaces around for some photographs of us before the ceremony (some cool urban walls and doors and stuff). LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!
The Elm is a great place for an intimate wedding. You can have the ceremony in the back yard, and then the reception inside, which is uniquely decorated. The proprietor will do all of the coordination and set up for you, but you will have to get your own caterer, rentals, alcohol, etc. It was worth it for us, but it takes a little more work. We were very pleased overall.
