The English Barn is a premier wedding venue in Kansas City. We truly could not have asked for a more beautiful or special place to get married. From the moment we chose The English Barn through our wedding day, Jane and Paul were wonderful to work with. They are genuinely fantastic people who care deeply about what they do and about the couples and families they welcome into their space.
Jane has such a gift for balancing warmth and kindness with also the ability to keep everything organized, efficient, and moving. On a day with so many details, it was incredibly reassuring to know she was there making sure everything came together while still making us and our families feel cared for.
We also invested in a planning and decor package through Jane. Her attention to design detail and thoughtful recommendations for vendors were absolutely spot on and made the entire planning process so much better. Jane’s design package went above and beyond in every way, especially when it came to bringing our specific vision to life.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. It has the perfect combination of timeless elegance and warmth. It feels elevated and special without ever feeling stuffy or impersonal. Somehow, even with a full wedding, it still had the feeling of simply gathering all of our favorite people together for a beautiful meal and celebration. So many of our guests commented on how much they loved the venue and the atmosphere.
We are incredibly grateful to Jane and Paul for the care they put into our wedding day and would recommend the venue wholeheartedly. It was such a special part of a day we will always treasure.

My husband and I got married at The English Barn in April. We were looking for a peaceful venue that we could have a smaller wedding (65 guests), with a low-key dinner/cake reception to follow. Jane helped us turn our vision into reality, it was the perfect day. The decor package Jane offers allowed us to have a lot of "extras" without us having to research, purchase and bring to the venue day-of. We were able to make selections and when we showed up on the day, everything was already set. I was truly able to enjoy the day. The property is so well thought out and so many details are accounted for. From the moment you turn into the driveway, you know you're in for an unforgettable experience.

here is SO MUCH to think about and worry about when you first dive into wedding planning, but from our first meeting with Jane, she put us at ease with how much her and her team would be dedicated to giving us the best day possible, from start to finish, while taking a lot off our plates. I am so thankful to have her, Paul, and the fabulous staff at English Barn who allowed us to truly be present and enjoy what turned out to be the most perfect day!
Jane was an incredible coordinator and I don't know what we would have done without her. She is very professional and was there through the whole planning process and gave me guidance on choosing the right vendors, creating the best flow of the day, and make sure we included everything that was important to us. She also took my inspiration photos and ideas and knocked it out of the park with decor all while staying within a reasonable budget.
I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique fairytale-esque hidden gem of a location right here in Kansas but feels like a destination venue! And if you have no idea where to start with planning like me or just want to be able to have a worry-free day, their planning services are amazing!

The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking — timeless, elegant, and full of charm. We toured other venues after that first visit, but no matter where we went, we kept coming back to The English Barn in our minds. It was the only one that felt like us. And the best part? It’s already so beautiful that it barely needs any extra décor to feel wedding-ready.
We didn’t have the budget to use Jane for her planning or coordination services, but it was clear from the very beginning that she would’ve been amazing. Her attention to detail, calm demeanor, and genuine love for what she does made it obvious that anyone who books her for planning is in the very best hands. Even without hiring her in that role, she was still so helpful, organized, and involved — we felt supported the entire time.
On our wedding day, Jane and her husband Paul were nothing short of amazing. They were both hands-on, supportive, and willing to help with anything and everything to make the day run smoothly. From making sure things were set up just right to offering genuine encouragement when the nerves kicked in, they were there through it all — and it meant the world to us.
It’s rare to find a venue that’s not only visually stunning but also run by people who genuinely care about your experience. Jane and Paul pour their hearts into every single wedding, and it shows. Choosing The English Barn was one of the best decisions we made, and we’ll be forever grateful for the part they played in our favorite day.

Jane was responsible for my florals as well and she just knocked it out of the park - she understood the vision I had so well from the beginning and knew just how to execute. Seeing the florals get wheeled in and set up on my wedding day was the moment I knew I really was having the wedding of my dreams. Our wedding planner Jessica was also just outstanding - both of these women were our champions throughout the entire planning process and made us feel so well taken care of. It was an absolute pleasure working with Paul for our bar package as well, especially since we had some special requests! We cannot express our gratitude for your accommodations enough! All of our guests have had such lovely things to say about our venue as well. From that very first day, Jane and our wedding planner, Jessica worked tirelessly to make our daughter's vision for her wedding an incredible reality. The owners made sure we had everything we needed. Our son and now daughter in law paid for a planning and decor package and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. Jane and her staff made sure we were able to enjoy the day. We paid for the Platinum bar package and the bar was amazing, our guests were very complimentary all night about the service and quality of drinks. Our other venue tours and meetings left us feeling overwhelmed and nervous about planning our daughter’s wedding; however, Jane’s professional and assuring demeanor did not leave us feeling that way. After our meeting, my husband, daughter and I couldn’t imagine finding a venue or owner more exceptional than Jane and The English Barn. We canceled our other scheduled venue tours and started our wedding journey with Jane and Paul (her very sweet husband and business partner). We purchased one of Jane’s wedding planning packages, and believe me, it was worth every penny! Jane has been in this business for a long time and has vetted many vendors over the years. We relied on her recommendations for most of our vendors and we couldn’t have been happier with those choices we made. My daughter and I had multiple planning meetings with Jane, and she provided the schedule of all the critical deadlines to be met and action items to be completed leading up to the wedding. Jane took my daughter and her fiancé’s vision and dreams for their perfect wedding day, and it was truly their wishes that Jane fulfilled and made a reality! We were blown away by all the hard work and every detail it took to successfully plan, coordinate and execute our daughter’s wedding! Jane, Paul, their amazing staff, all the incredible vendors and Mother Nature came together seamlessly for the most gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony, followed by a delicious dinner, drinks, dancing and wonderful celebration inside the breathtaking English Barn venue. The morning after the wedding, my husband and I reflected on the day, and we felt nothing but joy for how perfect the day was. Many of our guests commented that night or called and sent texts the next day commenting how beautiful and perfect the wedding and The English Barn were. It truly was PERFECT!! We can’t say enough great things about Jane, Paul and their gorgeous property and barn venue… we highly recommend The English Barn!!

However in the days leading up to her wedding including the day of the heavy rains changed our plans. Jane, the venue owner, and her team could not have been more accommodating to make all the arrangements to move the wedding inside and the wedding day turned out to more spectacular than we could have imagined.
The venue is absolutely lovely, charming, warm and inviting which was confirmed by the feedback we received from our guests. Thank you Jane for the most perfect day!!!

it turned us off. Our tour was scheduled for after work so we were still in our work clothes. The judgmental looks we received from her made us feel very uncomfortable and as if we were just wasting her time. Venue was beautiful, but rather small. I don’t believe it’s worth the $14,000 she thinks it’s worth. That’s just my experience and opinion.

They worked with our budget and made us feel comfortable and knowledgeable through each step of the wedding planning process. When beginning our venue search, we were sticker shocked and began making a list of items included in each venue’s price. The price that you pay for The English Barn is practically all included and save you thousands in the long run! We were able to choose our own vendors, but a list was provided to us if we needed recommendations, and it helped design the day to showcase our love for one another and our love story.
The English Barn holds many dear memories for our family. We knew we were eventually going get engaged/married and we began to worry about not have a venue that we absolutely love in time for a 2023 wedding. Therefore, we secured our top choice, The English Barn, prior to even becoming engaged. We went to The English Barn for a planning meeting, and we took a tour of the venue, and my husband completely surprised me by proposing on the bridge of our wedding venue. Him and Jane planned it all out in secret and it was truly a success because I did not see it coming! Another wonderful memory that we were able to have here was my Bridal Shower. Jane and my MOH worked together to have my Bridal Shower at the venue and the details were flawless. This just goes to show that not only does The English Barn have amazing weddings, but all types of events and memories can be made there! Jane helped with the details, large and small, all to make the day(s) exactly what a girl dreams of growing up. I was blessed with my prince charming and my dream wedding fit for a princess!
The English Barn and the team will forever have a place in our family. We look forward to supporting them for many years to come.

to our little event! She even created new bouquets for us from the flowers that were left over from the wedding the night before on her own suggestion! On top of all of this, the communication was outstanding! I had my wedding at a venue in Branson and it was a beautiful location, but if I had to do it all over again, I would 1000% go through Jane at her venue due to the wonderful service I experienced in setting up this event with her help. She is so kind and it really is apparent that she loves what she does and is in it for the right reasons! The bride-to-be is constantly raving about how wonderful Jane is and the amount of decorations that they have on site that they allow you to use is just wonderful. It really shows that she has a lot less stress going into her big day than it seems like I did leading up to mine. I was nickel and dimed into EVERYTHING that I wanted on my day, including if I wanted to use an arbor that the venue was gifted from a previous couple. Jane does NOT nickel and dime her clients like that. She is absolutely wonderful and really knows how to put on a classy event!

I am so happy we found our way to the English Barn because I could not imagine a better setting for our wedding than the beautiful castle styled barn. Jane was extremely communicative and we had many meetings about our vision and to answer any questions we had. It was a big splurge but it’s worth it for the atmosphere and all the support you receive from Paul and Jane, they really make you feel like family over the course of your planning period. From the gorgeous property, to the breathtaking ceilings , chandeliers, and all the details which our guest are still talking about and so much more--it was absolutely the most stunningly beautiful place to get married. Ms. Jane was so kind, and gracious enough to let us come in a day early (no extra charge) since she did not have an event so we could bring all our things in and not stress on the wedding day. soon as I walked in and met Jane and Paul I knew this was the place for us! I instantly fell in love (seriously what’s not to love about this venue—look at those pictures!) We booked with them back in Sept 2020 and I loved watching Jane’s vision come together over the year, she even allowed us to constantly visit and see the progress! We had the most beautiful wedding day on Oct 30th 2021 and it was all thanks to Jane and Paul. Jane goes above and beyond for her couples to make sure they have the best day ever down to every little detail! Jane and Paul were always there to answer all our questions and help in any way they could and they truly became like family to us! I’ve had so many guest still talk to me about how ABSOLUTELY beautiful our wedding was, from the outdoor ceremony to the cocktail hour to our last dance of the reception I could not have asked for a better day!
