We cannot recommend the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center enough! Although it’s known as the UT Alumni Center, it is so much more, a stunning, elegant venue that absolutely wowed us and o...
ur guests. We had countless people comment on how beautiful the space was and how incredible the food tasted.
Ashley, from Rosemary’s Catering, was our main point of contact and truly the MVP. Her communication and organization leading up to our big day made the entire process feel seamless. She was responsive, kind, and made sure every detail was taken care of, which was especially helpful since we were planning from outside of Austin.
We chose the Tex-Mex buffet and it was an absolute hit! The food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful. To top it all off, we added Amy’s Ice Cream for dessert, and our guests are still talking about it.
Booking with Etter-Harbin made wedding planning so much easier. Through them, we handled all the food, drinks, and rentals in one place. Once we secured the venue, all we needed was a coordinator, photographer, florist, and DJ and their preferred vendor list helped us find amazing people for each.
This venue is beautiful, well-run, and perfect for anyone wanting a smooth planning process and an unforgettable day.
Loving the Longhorns!
The Alumni Center Main Lounge and Concourse has Texas written all over it – longhorns, leather furniture, cowhide, rustic wood, stone fireplaces – great indoo...
r and outdoor space. In addition, it is located right at the base of the Texas Memorial Stadium where the Longhorns play! We had a Welcome Party for our son’s wedding and the ambiance is wonderful…the food even better! We served Southwest, Wild Wild West and Street Taco Buffets and guests raved! The run up to our event was complicated by COVID 19, but the Alumni Center staff never missed a beat. They were gracious, flexible and accommodating.
We wanted to give our guests a true taste of Texas and the Alumni Center didn’t disappoint…we loved it!

he perfect space for our 160 guests! The creek behind us provided stunning photos! Our cocktail hour took place in the Main Lounge and the dinner and dancing in the Ballroom! The Rosemary's Catering team worked with us to create the perfect decor & set-up for our guests! Their team was knowledgeable, friendly and an absolute pleasure to work with! It was a beautiful venue with the perfect team to make our wedding day absolutely amazing!
Venue was perfect! It was a true dream! Staff were professional and punctual!
We had our wedding at the Etter-Harbin Alumni center in July and it was amazing! The venue is perfect – a great long hallway for cocktail hour and a spacious ballroom for dinner/da...
ncing and not to mention a great location (downtown Austin on the UT campus). The venue can be a fun/casual atmosphere or can be dressed up for a more formal night. The Alumni Center has a separate room for the bride to get dressed, which can also be used by the bride and groom to have a private dinner. Another benefit to having your wedding at the Alumni Center is that you can have the entire venue to yourself so there are no strangers walking around, like other venues such as hotels in the downtown area. The food by Rosemary’s Catering was DELICIOUS. We got so many compliments on the food and venue. Every time I told someone where our reception was their response was “That’s Amazing!!” We worked with Rachel, who was EXTREMELY helpful throughout the entire process. We changed our food and layout multiple times and she was very patient with all of our changes and questions. In addition she provided tidbits of advice from her experience that we never would have thought of. If you are looking for somewhere affordable in downtown Austin, with great food and the ability to accommodate a large crowd, you should definitely look at the Alumni Center.
My husband and I worked with Emily at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center while planning our wedding ceremony and reception. We booked the alumni center about a year before our weddin...
g date. Throughout that year we probably asked Emily and the Rosemary’s Catering team hundreds of questions.
Emily was incredibly professional and helpful. No matter how small, or random, the question, Emily made me feel like a priority. She was always quick to respond and incredibly thorough!
As far as the venue itself goes, we loved everything about the alumni center. Our ceremony was held outside at the reception site on the creek and our reception was held in the Connally Ballroom. In our eyes, everything was perfect! We received so many compliments on the space, the setup, the food, and the friendliness of the staff. We could not ask for a better experience on our wedding day!
The Etter-Harbin Alumni Center was the venue for my reception. The space was big enough for 20 ten tops and a sizable dance floor. The scenery was beautiful. The staff was helpful ...
and willing to help us work on the details of the reception and how to make it special for us. Would recommend the venue for future brides.
Emily is by far the best and most accommodating person to work with for your wedding. The venue is gorgeous because it has a ton of windows.
The only draw back is that the venue ...
only allows you to use their caterer. However, the food is EXCELLENT and the bar selections are nice. I had a ton of people complement the food all night.
I LOVED that it was on the UT campus!!! I loved that it was a GORGEOUS ballroom with twinkle lights a great view of outside and the UT campus and it had amazing food!!!
