The Exceptions were the absolute highlight of our wedding night!!!
To start, the DJ was awesome and helped us curate a personal ceremony processional and was also so accommodating...
with my family’s music requests for the prelude and cocktail hour. He was incredibly easy to communicate with and checked in with us throughout the wedding process to make sure everything was on schedule and, most importantly, that our vision was being met.
We wanted our guests to be on the dance floor all night, and that vision was absolutely met. The band had everyone young and old up and dancing, with amazing crowd engagement, getting out on the floor, and really bringing the energy. They had a great mix of music while also taking our song requests which made the wedding feel so personal to us. (Shoutout enter sandman/shout and go hokies!)
And the HORNS!!! They were absolutely incredible. If you love a big, powerful brass sound, The Exceptions deliver in a way that takes the whole experience to another level. The combination of the incredible horns, phenomenal vocals, and the energy of the entire band made it impossible to stay off the dance floor.
Our wedding happened to fall right in the middle of a Nor’easter, and not only were they incredibly easy to communicate with, but they brought an energy to the night that made it completely unforgettable.
Both lead singers and the entire band are insanely talented, and we feel incredibly lucky that we got to have them be such a huge part of our wedding night. If you’re a fan of incredible brass, amazing vocals, nonstop dancing, and a band that knows how to make a wedding unforgettable, The Exceptions are absolutely the band for you!

unmatched, the whole band is so talented, and their song selection is so diverse and fun that you will never want to sit down. We could not be happier about our decision to hire The Exceptions and DJ Bobby Sacco to play at our wedding. Big shout out to Nate and Ali for the duet on our first song - we will never forget it!

veryone was having so much fun. After dinner, the band started playing, coming out onto the floor with us. Thpey were part of us. It was the best. They ran the entire wedding. They kept it flowing the entire night. No one sat down, they were phenomenal, and their price was so much better than other bands that we priced out. so if you’re looking for a band with horns, wonderful singers and people that are just plain fun hire the Exceptions you will not be disappointed.

n make or break the night. The exceptions/ Bill MADE the night. They are so lively! The sax and trumpet players come out into the the audience and get the crowd going. I have been to many wedding, when they have an an awesome band, but when the band takes a break, the wedding is like boring. That was NOT the case. Bill made sure to keep the party going. The other thing, I asked Bill or the exceptions for a song and they played it immediately which was nice as the bride! I am so happy we chose the exceptions and bill for our day! The other thing was the sound was perfect! The band comes with sound personnel which is also such a win! If you want a lovely, lively, and fun band, look no further!

edding and I knew from the moment an elderly couple hit the dance floor before dinner even started that they were going to play at my wedding too. They do not traditionally play weddings, and do more shows in the Philly and Atlantic City area, but we were able to convince them to come to Virginia for our wedding and they rocked the house. Our wedding planner asked if they would be willing to keep traveling down for more weddings, they were that good!
The head girl really kept the crowd going and in check a the same time. They are extremely flexible and listened to all requests from guests, and easily made announcements for me when I needed them to. They were just awesome.
They also worked with us to have a late night DJ from the band play music after the band shut down. He did an awesome job too. It was a seamless transition.
