The Farm on Groometown

The Farm on Groometown is a 40-acre working farm and barn wedding venue in southwest Greensboro, North Carolina — 3 miles off I-85, 12 minutes from PTI Airport and two miles from Grandover Resort. Your whole day happens in one place. Couples get ready in the bridal suite and a separate groom suite, say "I do" on a fenced ceremony lawn with open pasture and our longhorn cattle behind them, gather at the Silo Bar for cocktail hour, and celebrate in the white barn with its glass-enclosed reception space. The barn seats up to 130 guests. What's included with your rental: the barn and Silo Bar, both getting-ready suites, reception tables, chairs and cocktail tables, kitchen access for your licensed caterer, four restrooms, silo swings and outdoor sitting areas, free on-site parking, Wi-Fi, and a venue representative you can reach during your event. Linens and place settings come from your caterer or a rental company rather than from us. You bring your own licensed caterer and insured bartender, and every event works with a professional planner or day-of coordinator from our preferred vendor list. Weekend weddings (Friday through Sunday) start at $5,200, and Monday through Thursday weddings start at $3,500. Events end at 10:00 p.m. For guests coming from out of town: Grandover Resort is two miles away, there are hotels along the I-85 and I-40 corridor, and our remodeled 1926 farmhouse on the property sleeps up to 8 as a separate rental. Uber and Lyft both serve the farm. Jenna, the owner, walks every couple through the grounds herself and stays your point of contact from the first tour to the last dance. We also host elopements, showers, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, milestone birthdays, anniversaries and corporate gatherings. Tours are by appointment, Sunday through Thursday — Fridays and Saturdays we usually have a wedding on the property.
