While the space itself is charming, a number of issues made the day far more stressful than it needed to be: Cleanliness & Readiness: We arrived to find the garbage overflowing—one of our guests had to haul our event trash away in his truck bed. There was also visible mouse droppings in several of the decorative lanterns, which was disappointing and unhygienic. Accessibility Concerns: The outdoor lights were off during the event, making it difficult for guests—especially my elderly grandparents and disabled stepmother—to find their way to the bathrooms in the dark. This was not only inconvenient but also dangerous. Water Issues: The floors began flooding due to water seeping in from outside. This became a serious concern for our DJ, who had to move electrical cords throughout the evening to avoid equipment damage. This kind of risk should not fall on the vendors or guests. Bridal Suite Timing: Being required to vacate the bridal suite exactly at 6:00 PM while we were in the middle of photos created unnecessary chaos. My bridal party had to quickly shove our belongings into random bags and boxes, which resulted in accidental items being taken, including a basket belonging to the venue. I was then asked to return it at 8:00 AM the next morning—an incredibly inconvenient request as we were spending that time saying goodbye to family who had traveled across the country to be with us. Lack of End-of-Night Support: With limited personal decor due to traveling from Alaska, we rented many items directly from the venue. At the end of the night, there was no direction or help in returning or sorting rentals, which led to confusion and more items being misplaced. Again, this could have been avoided with a little guidance. Bar Service & Policies: The drinks were poor quality—wine-based cocktails that left many guests dissatisfied. No outside beverages (even non-alcoholic) were allowed, and many guests commented that they spent a lot at the bar but never really felt like they had a drink. Staff Interactions: Kassie, the manager, was kind and helpful throughout. Unfortunately, Amy came across as curt and unaccommodating, which cast a shadow on the overall experience. Despite spending close to $5,000 at this venue, we often felt like we were treated as a transaction rather than valued clients. Overall, the space is aesthetically beautiful, and I appreciate Kassie’s help, but the lack of basic hospitality and support—especially for out-of-state couples—left us deeply disappointed. If I could do it all over again, I would choose a different venue.
