The Farmhouse KC Events is a newer wedding venue in Independence, MO, purposely built for private parties and special occasions. Surrounded by beautiful landscape and charming features, every effort is made to provide couples with a memorable experience. Ideal for weddings during all seasons, the modern farmhouse venue is an inviting and country chic space.
A passion project, the masterminds behind The Farmhouse KC Events strived to design a wedding location couples will think of fondly for years to come. A private property, the authentic white barn is surrounded by 100-year old trees, fresh green lawns, and a quaint cottage dating back to the 1920s. Renovated to modern standards, the stone cottage is outfitted with a luxury lounge space and self-catering facilities for pre-ceremony relaxation. To the rear of the barn is a custom-made silo bar for cocktail hour and outdoor receptions, lending to the overall farm-feel of the setting. Couples and guests can mingle between the bar and the garden-themed Champagne wall for a truly luxurious experience. Charm is evident in the smaller details such as the glass garage windows, vintage light bulbs, and rustic barn doors. Elegant and contemporary, the space is sure to appeal to couples dreaming of a farmhouse wedding with all the comforts of an established venue.
The Farmhouse KC Events offers couples a featured wedding day package to complement their big day. Beginning with a 13-hour rental period and an on-site event manager, the venue aims to provide a hassle-free planning process. Venue rental includes the use of the silo bar and outdoor patio area, along with designated getting ready suites. Tables, chairs, and table cloths can be provided and couples are given an opportunity for a ceremony rehearsal. Couples are welcome to book the catering company of their choice for a truly personal occasion.

There is no need for transportation to an alternate location for photos or a ceremony unless you really want to because the grounds and outdoor ceremony space at the Farmhouse are extremely picturesque. The chandeliers are iconic, and I could not recommend more to take advantage of the deal they offer with The Perfect Touch KC! Between Shelby and TPT, our wedding day was smooth and seamless. I really want to highlight the bridal suite and groomsmen cottage, they are both amazing spaces to get ready and hang out while getting ready! And I would also like to highly recommend their incredible champagne wall, it would make a great addition to any reception or celebration! You really can't go wrong with the Farmhouse KC!

for the girls and guys to get ready- and we loved the outdoor ceremony space. The interior is very plain (in a good way!) so that you can make the venue fit your wedding aesthetic. Shelby and her staff were very professional and knew the ins and outs of helping me on my wedding day. They helped with the DJ and Catering as I was getting ready. I did not hire a wedding planner, but having a day of coordinator from The Farmhouse was so helpful!
The venue seems to be in the middle of a residential area, but once you are in it you do not notice the surroundings. The tree coverage is great and makes you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere- but in reality, you are very close to most amenities!

The bridal suit and groom cottage were charming, clean, and just fun spaces to hang out in. The day of our wedding was spectacular. From start to finish, Shelby and her staff were amazing and made us feel completely welcomed. We couldn’t be more grateful to have had such a great experience!

C was perfect when we did a tour of it completed back in May 2020. Throughout the planning process Shelby was so very helpful and quick to respond to any of our questions. The Farmhouse KC is just an all around great venue. We toured almost 30 venues in our search and The Farmhouse KC was the only venue to check all of our boxes. Outdoor AND Indoor Ceremony location, reasonable bar packages, open catering, getting ready spot for both the women and the men (HUGE!!!), outdoor space for yard games during reception, plenty of parking and great price. My husband and I are forever grateful that the Farmhouse KC was available to host our wedding. We made so many memories that we will cherish forever there!!! Thank you Shelby and team! ❤️

We also rented the cottage for the day which is definitely worth the money. The guys got ready over there and some of the kids would go over and play pool! The bridal suite was spacious and clean and had everything we needed to get ready. All of our guests loved the venue - and the bar - we also had the garage doors open with the heaters on the side patio! Having their own parking lot was great and made it really easy for guests. I would give it 100 out of 5 stars, we had a lovely wedding day and The Farmhouse really made it happen!

a question it was answered right away. The Bridal suite had a mimosa bar set up when we arrived, it was clean and it is a nice large area. Everything was perfect and just the way we wanted it. I would highly recommend using this venue! They are amazing!

I truly mean it. I had looked at many different venues but hadn’t found the one that was perfect for me. I knew the minute I walked in that this was it. From the big chandelier to dance under to the outdoor silo bar to the quaint onsite cottage suite you can rent, everything about it is truly perfect. We were able to bring in our own caterer which was awesome as we were able to select food that we wanted! Originally, we thought we wanted to find a venue that allowed us to do our own bar. Let me tell you Farmhouse KC bartenders are great and the prices are tough to beat. It made the day so much easier that we didn’t have to buy our own alcohol, find our own bartenders, etc. To top it off, Shelby (venue owner) is amazing to work with. She helped me bring my floor plan to life, helped with all the vendors on the day of, and went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared for the big day. She answered every question along the way and was super quick at responding. On the night of she made sure everything was a success and I truly can’t thank her and the rest of the staff enough. I would expect this venue to be booked out for years to come so if you have a date in mind I’d get a tour soon!
