The Felt Factory is a historic wedding venue located in Philadelphia, PA. This industrial building marries a vintage aesthetic with modern amenities. Originally, this establishment was a staple of the community, the whirring sound of machinery contributing to the livelihood of the neighborhood.
This property has experienced a beautiful transition from The Frogmoore Mills into The Felt Factory. The establishment was powered by steam and water, using the energy produced from the Frankford Creek. As the Frogmoore Mills, this venue stood proudly as one of the only felt mills in the entirety of the United States. The Philadelphia Felt Company held residence in the building from the 1920s to the 1980s. It was following that point in time that the venue assumed the identity of The Felt Factory by Romano’s Catering.
The Felt Factory has maintained an industrial chic feeling. The property’s three gorgeous ballrooms pay homage to the historical foundations of the building. There are exposed steel and wooden structures that are original to the establishment. The interior has stacked brick elements and stone embellishments. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling, illuminating the celebrations happening below. Rooms can be set up in various styles to accommodate banquets, receptions, ceremonies, and more. For weddings large and small, this 1800’s factory can be the ideal space. The largest room can comfortably suit up to 375 guests for a social function. The Capri Room is well suited to more intimate occasions and boasts a stunning wooden bar. The Mill Room has a large dance floor as comes with a get-ready room. Manor Hall is a beautiful setting for larger occasions and has a unique balcony cocktail area.
This wedding destination presents a memorable location with premier catering privileges. Couples will be able to bring in their own decor and lighting for their event. Examples include draping, monograms, uplighting, flowers, and more. They will also be able to take advantage of the catering offered on the premises via Romano’s Catering. I was even assigned a maître d’, who was an absolute lifesaver—coordinating every detail seamlessly and making sure we could just enjoy our wedding without stress.
The venue itself? Absolutely stunning! It has a modern yet unique charm that creates the perfect ambiance for a wedding. And the best part? They offer EVERYTHING! From a top-notch bar to delicious food that our guests couldn’t stop raving about. The pricing is also very reasonable, which made it even more of a dream come true!

s 9.14.24 and i am completely and utterly amazed the atmosphere was exactly what i envisioned yet still better.. the food was sensational .. the bartenders were so pleasant.. the drinks were superb. Darvin was insanely helpful and managed to make sure I didn't have to worry( or have a breakdown). 2010 she has been there for us throughout the ENTIRE process. Our wedding was on Sunday, Oct. 09,2011 and Margaret usually dosen't work on Sundays but she made sure that she worked on that particular Sunday. I left EVERYTHING in Margaret's hands and was very very pleased. I am a very picky person and to be an even pickier bride (Margaret can cuncur) was a challenge for everyone around me. We had our ceremony in the Capri Room & our reception in the Manor Room and both were exquisite to say the least. Margaret made sure my cake was designed exactly how I wanted it, the ice sculputre was beautiful and the hour devours during the cocktail hr. were to die for; they never ran out and the staff was there to remove any used dishes. Everyone was on point! My husbnd is a vegitarian so she made sure he had his meal for the reception (and for the taste test). During dinner, my bridal party didn't have to ask for anything. The staff refilled drinks and plates without being asked to do so. Everyone was very nice and attentive throuout the entire day. All of our guest ate as much as they wanted and drank as much as much as they wanted while they danced the night away. Everyone said how our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to and how it was like something you would see on a movie. Kathy is extremely helpful and makes sure that everything leading up to take day couldn't have been more perfect. The day of our wedding Margaret Hoffman was absolutely the greatest person. She made sure that everything ran smoothly from us the moment we arrived, with having pictures taken upstairs in their lobby to the end of the night. Every time we turned around or our wedding party needed something she was on top of it. The food is to die for. Absolutely fanstatic. Everyone that had attended our wedding still talks about it today about how much fun that they had at our wedding between the food, bar, dj, and reception room itself. I would highly recommend this location to any bride that is getting married in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area. The staff and rooms at this venue are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
