About this vendor
The Felt Factory is a historic wedding venue located in Philadelphia, PA. This industrial building marries a vintage aesthetic with modern amenities. Originally, this establishment was a staple of the community, the whirring sound of machinery contributing to the livelihood of the neighborhood.
This property has experienced a beautiful transition from The Frogmoore Mills into The Felt Factory. The establishment was powered by steam and water, using the energy produced from the Frankford Creek. As the Frogmoore Mills, this venue stood proudly as one of the only felt mills in the entirety of the United States. The Philadelphia Felt Company held residence in the building from the 1920s to the 1980s. It was following that point in time that the venue assumed the identity of The Felt Factory by Romano’s Catering.
The Felt Factory has maintained an industrial chic feeling. The property’s three gorgeous ballrooms pay homage to the historical foundations of the building. There are exposed steel and wooden structures that are original to the establishment. The interior has stacked brick elements and stone embellishments. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling, illuminating the celebrations happening below. Rooms can be set up in various styles to accommodate banquets, receptions, ceremonies, and more. For weddings large and small, this 1800’s factory can be the ideal space. The largest room can comfortably suit up to 375 guests for a social function. The Capri Room is well suited to more intimate occasions and boasts a stunning wooden bar. The Mill Room has a large dance floor as comes with a get-ready room. Manor Hall is a beautiful setting for larger occasions and has a unique balcony cocktail area.
This wedding destination presents a memorable location with premier catering privileges. Couples will be able to bring in their own decor and lighting for their event. Examples include draping, monograms, uplighting, flowers, and more. They will also be able to take advantage of the catering offered on the premises via Romano’s Catering. If couples have specific questions about menus, dishes, and arrangements then they are encouraged to reach out and contact the events team with inquiries.

arding important wedding-day logistics have gone unanswered or have been redirected without resolution.
The lack of a clear point of contact and timely responses has caused unnecessary stress for our client, as we are unable to confirm key details needed to ensure a smooth wedding day. I also requested to speak with a general manager but did not receive a response.
We hope this issue is addressed promptly so future couples and vendors can feel confident in their planning experience.

great portions. Our bartender was very nice and welcoming. One more detail that made our experience the best was our host Darwin. He was pleasant from the time we arrived for our wedding and when the last guest left for the night. He listened to every detail that we gave him and waited on us with patience. Darwin really made our day and I am so grateful for him. If you want a venue that is respectful, caters to your needs and just all around professional then The Felt Factory is where you need to be. All of our guest said they had the time of their lives.

One of the things that stood out to me the most was how organized and supportive the team was. They guided me through the entire process, ensuring that everything went smoothly from the rehearsal to the big day. I was even assigned a maître d’, who was an absolute lifesaver—coordinating every detail seamlessly and making sure we could just enjoy our wedding without stress.
The venue itself? Absolutely stunning! It has a modern yet unique charm that creates the perfect ambiance for a wedding. And the best part? They offer EVERYTHING! From a top-notch bar to delicious food that our guests couldn’t stop raving about. The pricing is also very reasonable, which made it even more of a dream come true!

Everything was amazing from beginning to end. The staff was on point and they communicated very well. I would definitely refer to other brides.
The professionalism of the staff was phenomenal. They were attentive to our every needs. The communication for every step was exceptional.
First of all, I want to thank all of the team from The Felt Factory for making the venue part of my wedding planning the easiest part. The fact that they provide so many services, ...
the space, food, bar, set up and take down, it made the planning process for me so easy! Everyone that I talked to from beginning to end, was so helpful. Darvin was amazing in making sure I had everything I needed and what to expect the day of. My maitre d’, Megan, was amazing the day of and was available for me whenever I needed her. But honestly, I barely needed anything. They were so perfect in their process to get everything done. They followed my directions perfectly and repacked all my decorations for pickup perfectly. When it came to paying for the venue and services, they let me choose a payment plan that worked for myself and my family. They had steps throughout the process so we could plan properly. The ceremony was set up perfectly. The reception switch was seamless. There was a beautiful letter and gift in my bridal suite for me and my husband. Everyone love the hors d'oeuvres. Megan brought me and my husband a plate of them during cocktail hour while we were taking photos. The food was good and the donut wall was a hit! The drinks were great, even with our groom and bride picks. Everything was just simply…perfect! I highly recommend The Felt Factory. They have multiple rooms to choose from, at all budget levels. You won’t be disappointed with them!

confetti during my first dance just topped everything else off! It was beautiful! The food was excellent! People are still coming up to me talking about how amazing the food was and how beautiful the venue was! The cake was simple but delicious. Romano's made it easy for my guests from New Jersey to be dropped off and picked up by a shuttle right outside the venue! If you want an amazingly perfect wedding that people talk about months down the road, then Romano's is your venue!
Romano's did great work. Food was amazing and the room was beautiful. Even the set up for our ceremony was wonderful.
First off, I want to say thank you very much to Romano's staff!; Margaret Hoffman especially. From the time my mother, fiance and I had our first meeting with Margaret in March of ...
2010 she has been there for us throughout the ENTIRE process. Our wedding was on Sunday, Oct. 09,2011 and Margaret usually dosen't work on Sundays but she made sure that she worked on that particular Sunday. I left EVERYTHING in Margaret's hands and was very very pleased. I am a very picky person and to be an even pickier bride (Margaret can cuncur) was a challenge for everyone around me. We had our ceremony in the Capri Room & our reception in the Manor Room and both were exquisite to say the least. Margaret made sure my cake was designed exactly how I wanted it, the ice sculputre was beautiful and the hour devours during the cocktail hr. were to die for; they never ran out and the staff was there to remove any used dishes. Everyone was on point! My husbnd is a vegitarian so she made sure he had his meal for the reception (and for the taste test). During dinner, my bridal party didn't have to ask for anything. The staff refilled drinks and plates without being asked to do so. Everyone was very nice and attentive throuout the entire day. All of our guest ate as much as they wanted and drank as much as much as they wanted while they danced the night away. Everyone said how our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to and how it was like something you would see on a movie. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I wouldn't change not one thing. Margaret thank you very much for making the Mitchell-Randall wedding an event that will never be forgotten!!

ter being announced in the Mill Room at Romano's Catering. We fell in love with the Mill room between the fire place, the huge bar, the space and decor everything was perfect. Kathy is extremely helpful and makes sure that everything leading up to take day couldn't have been more perfect. The day of our wedding Margaret Hoffman was absolutely the greatest person. She made sure that everything ran smoothly from us the moment we arrived, with having pictures taken upstairs in their lobby to the end of the night. Every time we turned around or our wedding party needed something she was on top of it. The food is to die for. Absolutely fanstatic. Everyone that had attended our wedding still talks about it today about how much fun that they had at our wedding between the food, bar, dj, and reception room itself. I would highly recommend this location to any bride that is getting married in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area. The staff and rooms at this venue are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
Romano's took all of the headache away from me on my wedding day! They made everything run so smoothly and never let me know of any "hiccups"!
i have used them on and off site, love them.
