About this vendor
The Femmes are Boston & New York's all-woman and non-binary wedding band specializing in songs by female and non-binary artists. When you’re at a Femmes show, you’re at a high energy concert experience. Epic sing-alongs, expertly crafted harmonies, and musicians who absolutely LOVE to interact with the audience, the Femmes are your go-to LGBTQ+ party band!
We're a band that's completely different from any other band you'll talk to for your wedding. Not only because we're the only band that is majority women from our singers to our musicians, but we play a show that makes it feel like you're at a live concert. We diva it up with a tight trio of vocalists who all have different strengths so we can sing anything from Beyonce to Pat Benatar to Lady Gaga. And, we have a full horn section in our 10 piece band.
The Femmes perform in Massachusetts, New York, Cape Cod, Newport, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut. Ask us about destination weddings! We'll travel 😁

What can I possibly say about The Femmes? They blew away our already high expectations. Our guests were PUMPED the entire night, dancing until the set ended at midnight. They knew ...
exactly how to modulate the crowd’s energy, how to get everyone involved organically without any of the gimmicky wedding stuff that so many bands rely on to manufacture excitement. Ellie and Bailey’s voices are absolutely incredible, and the band behind them rips. Seriously, we are so grateful we booked their 7-piece option and would do it again every single time.
Absolutely ELECTRIC! Wow! I am still reeling from our wedding and couldn't believe we were able to have a literal Femmes concert at our wedding!
From the very first time I saw the...
m perform, and then every single time since I continue to be awestruck by their talent, energy, and pure joy on stage. Half of our friends were familiar with the band and the other half were from out of town and had never seen them perform. Every single guest was on that dance floor for 4 hours. We were reminded several times that we did in fact have to stop dancing to eat dinner....
Our venue was outdoors, under a tent and the acoustics were perfect (shout out Suki). Beth played at least 6 different instruments (what?!?!?) They were so involved and interactive with us and our guests and the party. The whole band made my partner and I feel like celebrities while really they were the STARS of the night.
Bailey and Ellie were a dream to work with through so many big and little changes/logistics with venue(s) and prioritizing our dream night. I was incredibly impressed with how helpful they were with making it work with us and will forever be grateful.
By the end of the night the guests/crowd were chanting for "one or TEN more songs"!!! The out of town guests continue to ask me when The Femmes will be playing in Philly.
As a queer couple, it was so important to my partner and I to work with bad ass queer folks to both support our community and also to showcase the talent, love and joy that queers bring to this world every day.
I cannot recommend them enough, this night/experience will fill my heart and cup for probably forever!
Thank you so much for working with us, supporting us, rocking out with us and for being YOU!
Having seen The Femmes at a Pride celebration a few years back, we knew we had to have them at our wedding. Our friends leading up to the wedding kept saying I can't wait for The F...
emmes concert!
At the wedding, The Femmes absolutely crushed it! The dance floor was full the whole time they were playing with wedding guests of all ages enjoying themselves.
They were great with communication in planning for the wedding, leading up to the big day, and especially during the reception. They checked in on timing and exact songs we wanted and when. They were super engaged with our guests while performing and genuinely seamed to be having a blast.
Could not recommend enough for a wedding or party of any kind!
Words do not exist to express the talent, energy, vibes, and swagger that is The Femmes. My wife and I have been to a few of their shows in the past and when we began planning our ...
wedding, our only non-negotiable was that The Femmes needed to be a part of it.
Our guests were blown away! They couldn't believe the range that The Femmes brought to the stage, and were obsessed with the complete and total girl-star-power.
We would 10000000/10 recommend The Femmes to anyone who asks, and they will always hold a special place in our hearts from making our special day one that not only will we remember forever, but our guests will too.
My husband and I hired the Femmes to perform at our wedding and we were so happy that we did! Bailey and the band kept the crowd dancing and engaged and the sound engineer did an e...
xcellent job keeping things sounding good and running smoothly. We also hired them to do the lighting in the tent and they did a great job with that as well!
Leading up to our wedding day they were communicative and organized which is so appreciated during the more stressful planning periods. On the day of the wedding they were flexible and kept things during the ceremony and reception running smoothly despite a rain delay that shifted the timing of the event. Our wedding planner and even the venue have mentioned to us how great The Femmes were to work with and how amazing they sounded! I cannot recommend The Femmes enough to anyone getting married.
The Femmes gave us an amazing wedding night. Every single person who came raved about how great they were. Their energy was the key puzzle piece to what felt like a perfect recepti...
on, and they kept the guests on the dance floor all night. We can’t imagine the night any other way - they absolutely nailed it.
Incredibly talented group and the definitive best part of our wedding. They had everyone up and dancing the whole night. They were also collaborative and listened well to our desir...
es for the setlist, were communicative (shoutout to Ellie), and so so fun. We are still getting compliments from guests about how amazing they were! Loved that it was all queer women and non-binary folks as well.
If you're looking for an all-women and nonbinary band that plays all the hits, plays them well, and even has a horns section to keep your audience dancing, look no further. I saw T...
he Femmes as a 12-piece with three singers, every one of which is extremely talented. But they play around town too as a 5-piece, or even 3 or 2. Very versatile! Did not disappoint.
I've gotten so sick of hearing the same wedding band set list from some white dudes with guitars at every wedding I've been to in the last 10 years. My partner and I searched every...
where for a band like the femmes to play our wedding, and thank god we found this group just as they were starting out last year. These womxn know how to PLAY and they delivered an incredible setlist of songs every other band is sleeping on. I can't recommend enough. Ellie was super accommodating to our requests and the rates were fair. We went for a 10 piece and the horns made the night electric. Support the community - hire these chicks, you will not be disappointed.
We hired The Femmes to perform at the Boston Climate Strike and they were so easy to work with. The band members were flexible, friendly, and enthusiastic and made a great edition...
to the speakers and other performers involved in the rally outside the State House. Great energy and great sound!
This band knows how to party! I had to write a review because I was so pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was to have a live band. If you're looking for high energy, and incre...
dible talent to celebrate your big day this is the band to book! I was taken aback by how fun and engaging they were let alone knowing what songs to keep the guests on their feet. I had originally assumed we'd book a dj but now I want them at my wedding!
I saw The Femmes at Club Cafe on 2/10 at their Coming Out Party and I have to say I haven’t had that much fun in a LONG time. It was so refreshing to see a band completely composed...
of women and non binary folks, and to hear songs that bands don’t usually cover! I would highly recommend this band for anyone who wants to have an incredible party with an individual band.
Wow The Femmes can put on a SHOW! They have a massive setlist crossing genres from country to pop and from the 60's to now. Absolutely incredible, each and every member were profes...
sional and talented musicians. Super easy to work with I can't recommend them enough.
This band is amazing. They were the hit of the wedding and got everyone dancing, even my grandmother! They were also punctual and professional and easy to work with. No divas, only...
