The Fishin' Pig

We hired them for our September 19th wedding after nearly a year of planning, their catastrophic lack of organization, communication, and basic execution severely impacted what should have been a flawless day. Here is a factual account of the service provided by their representative, Morgan, and her team: • Rehearsal Night Abandonment: Morgan explicitly agreed to set up and supply ice for our Saturday wedding during our Friday rehearsal. Not only was she a complete no-show, but she actively ignored our wedding planner’s calls and hung up on her. Our family had to leave our own rehearsal dinner to drive into town and buy ice out-of-pocket. • Severe Delays & Ruined Aesthetic: Promised a 9:00 AM setup on Saturday, Morgan did not show up until 2:50 PM—completely alone—claiming her crew was "5 minutes behind," though they didn't arrive for another 30 minutes. Ceremony began at 3:35 PM. Instead of guests entering past our curated setup that cost thousands, and hours of prep, arriving guests walked past an eyesore of bare plastic tables littered with prep tins, water jugs, loose supplies, and a U-Haul parked right at the ceremony entrance. • Unstaffed Bar & Forced Guest Labor: We paid for a bartender to be ready at 3:00 PM for pre-ceremony drinks. No bartender was provided. My Maid of Honor and a wedding guest had to step in to serve arriving guests. Furthermore, despite being contracted until 11:00 PM, the catering crew attempted to pack up and walk out at 9:30 PM—an hour and a half early—until our planner stopped them. • Basic Service Failures: Zero ice was provided for water, tea, or lemonade during our entire outdoor wedding, forcing guests to drink warm beverages in the heat. Additionally, after explicitly agreeing to white linens, the team showed up with black. • Subpar Main Courses: While appetizers were well-received, the main courses were unacceptable. The "pulled chicken" was chicken chunks (not pulled chicken) and the brisket was overcooked, & dry as a bone. At one point, we genuinely worried we would need to order emergency pizza for dinner due to their lack of follow-through and uncertainty of their arrival. • Abysmal Communication: Morgan missed our initial planning call and multiple follow-ups, failed to send promised photo confirmations of drink containers, and ignored basic inquiries regarding needed bartending supplies. • Owner's Refusal of Accountability: When we and our planners brought these severe breaches to ownership, Rob Moore’s response was insulting. Rather than taking responsibility for an unstaffed bar, missing services, and cut hours, he offered a mere $300 credit on a $4,500+ bill as a "gesture of goodwill." Despite our detailed list of missteps, the owner insisted "all agreed-upon services were provided," dismissing forced guest labor and ruined timelines as simple "inconveniences." As a 10-year wedding industry vendor, I have never witnessed such staggering unprofessionalism. Mistakes happen, but refusing to refund undelivered services demonstrates a complete lack of integrity. Our wedding planners and our other vendors were appaulled. Save yourself the heartache and hire a catering company that actually values its commitments and clients.
