of our wedding, everything turned out perfectly! Myle Gray, the director of catering at the hotel, and Lori Melanson both made sure everything went according to plan. From changing the number of tables and guests to help us with the changes we faced due to COVID-19, to helping us keep everyone safe with extra social distancing precautions, to making sure our food for the night was topnotch, they truly went above and beyond! Any time we had a concern about the wedding day, such as how food would be served during the pandemic, they made sure to help us out and keep everything sanitary and healthy. Plus, they even gave us a stunning complementary hotel room to stay in for the night. We would also like to thank Ericka Solis, the catering coordinator, for her help throughout our wedding night. She was always standing nearby to make sure we were served properly and always got what we needed. We are super happy we went with The Florida Hotel for our big day. Everyone is exceptionally nice and the customer service cannot be matched!

ery process of my planning and there on my wedding day. They were all so accommodating. All I heard on the day of my wedding and through the process of planning was "No Problem". The conference rooms with the chandeliers were beautiful. The food was amazing. The chef did everything I asked for and on an upscale level. Everyone raved about the food and how well it was prepared. If you are looking for a place centrally located, reasonable when compared to other venues and very accommodating this is the place to go!! Thank you Florida Hotel, if I could do it all over again I would do it with you!!
We needed a place to stay in Orlando for just one night before our flight back home, and we got a good deal on a room at the Florida Hotel. It's generally a nice place, but it seem...
s a little like a fine painting... it looks pretty good from far away, but up close it's kind of a mess.
On the up side, we arrived at the hotel at around 10am and check-in wasn't until 3pm. We were hoping that the hotel would let us store our luggage so we could shop or eat or something until check-in, but they surprised us by allowing us to check-in 5 hours early. We were so grateful for the early check-in that we didn't complain about the fact we had ordered a king-size bed but received a room with 2 double beds instead. We figured we would just make it work for the one night.
Later that afternoon, our toilet overflowed. The staff was prompt about coming to check on it, but it never quite ran perfectly and we spent the evening praying every time we went to use the bathroom. The matresses were pretty comfortable, but the pillows wouldn't stay under your head and we both spent the night squirming around to get comfortable before we just separated and spent the night in separate beds.
If it wasn't for the staff, I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. Maybe we just had a bad night?
