ribbean and I am from the south and we wanted a menu that represented both of our upbringings. Mellanee absolutely made that vision come to life. From our first phone call to our tasting with her, you can tell how much she cares about making amazing food that is special and heartfelt. The tasting was warm and inviting, complete with cocktail samples and the best homemade Arnold palmer we've ever had. Finally at the wedding, our guests could not stop raving about the food! Even the vegetarian/vegan option was so full of flavor and the portions were huge (in the best way). Her staff and team were so attentive, friendly, and professional, we both felt so taken care of. Mellanee was understanding of our financial situation and our budget and worked with us every step of the way. She handled our rentals and ensured that everything looked amazing. She is the caterer of our dreams and we can not recommend her enough!

Upon speaking with Chef Mellanee, I was immediately taken by her warmth, easy-going nature, patience (because, I asked SO many questions, on multiple occasions), and polished professionalism. Though I had nothing solidified, in terms of a venue, or even a wedding planner, Chef Mellanee offered me much guidance, and recommended a venue, which eventually led me to connect with my future Wedding Planner! I was presented a set list with a plethora of hors d'oeuvres, Buffet and Dinner compilations, and a separate drink menu, should an open bar be desired. Though many fantastic options were listed for consideration, Chef Mellanee informed I could inquire about offerings not listed, also. On the day of the tasting, my then-fiance and I, had car trouble. After speaking with Chef Mellanee, she graciously offered to extend the appointment to a reasonable time. By a miracle of God, we made it to the tasting, with 20-mins to spare. Upon entering Chef Mellanee's presence, we were immediately put at ease. The highly stressful event we'd been through, began to melt off us. Music played, in the background that set a loving mood. My beloved and I, sat at a table set for us to dine like royalty. Each course was impeccable, and Chef Mellanee checked to ensure our thoughts about each dish, were of genuine satisfaction. After our meal, and offering our final decisions, Chef Mellanee brought out a card game for us to play! It was a sweet game, made to enhance connection between a couple. We loved it. On the day of the wedding, upon entering the venue, I was told by my wedding planner to check a bag that had been left in my changing room. There, I found a white box, embossed with The Fork Goes on the Left emblem. Inside sat a few wonderful items, and a thoughtful, sweet note, that I keep in mind each day. From the time of service to the end of the night, everyone raved about the food, and service, rendered by Chef Mellanee, and her A+ Team. The food was well seasoned, and delightfully satisfying, speaking to our guests' Caribbean background, and elevated tastes. Chef Mellanee's team were the epitome of polished professionalism, courtesy, and joy! What also caught my eye, was how well Chef Mellanee's Team had her back. Before my husband, and I, were to take a picture with Chef Mellanee, the same lady on her Team, stopped to fix Chef's collar, to ensure she looked her best - I LOVED that! It spoke to everything we saw that evening, that contributed in so many ways, to their supreme level of service. Great trust, comradery, and respect worked within their Team dynamic. If any Bride is considering catering services, please, look no further than The Fork Goes on the Left. The level of care, and pampered service you, and your guests, will experience, will undoubtedly make your event, a day or night, to remember. As I said at the beginning of my review, Chef Mellanee and her Team, are excellence, personified, and, even more than that, they are genuine people, who care about each other, and their client. know about--which is exactly how it is supposed to be. I didn't worry about a thing. The food was DIVINE, the space looked elegant, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was impeccable. Mellanee even made little gift bags and dinner choices for the kids--without being asked or expected to. (And these were a real hit!) Mellanee herself is invested in making sure that your wedding day is special, calm, and marvelous. She feels like a trusted friend or beloved family member. I adore her, and had just the best experience working with her. CHOOSE THE FORK!!!

reat and they mad sure my husband and I actually ate dinner and had cake. We even got a doggie bag that came in handy at 2:00am when we got home from our after party.My husband and I plan to eat the same meal at our anniversary :-)
