, our experience was absolutely amazing. I am so incredibly grateful we chose Fort William Henry for our wedding, and I genuinely couldn’t imagine having celebrated our special day anywhere else!
First and foremost, Dawn and Keilana were an absolute DREAM to work with! Throughout the entire planning process, they were incredibly responsive, patient, accommodating, and helpful. No matter how many questions I had (and believe me, there were plenty!), they were always quick to respond and made sure I felt completely comfortable and confident in every decision. They took the time to go over every little detail with us, ensuring we knew exactly what to expect and when everything would be happening. Their communication, organization, and genuine dedication to making our wedding everything we envisioned made the entire planning process so much easier and more enjoyable.
When our wedding day finally arrived, I genuinely didn’t have to worry about a single thing! Everything was taken care of, and I was able to completely relax and enjoy every moment. Keilana was absolutely incredible at keeping everything organized and running smoothly. She made sure everyone knew exactly where they needed to be and what they needed to do, from the processional and recessional to the reception. She kept everything moving seamlessly and on schedule without ever making anything feel rushed. Having someone so attentive and organized coordinating everything behind the scenes was invaluable, and I cannot thank her enough!
And the venue itself was absolutely breathtaking! We had our ceremony on the lawn overlooking Lake George, and with the gorgeous fall foliage surrounding us, it was everything I had dreamed of and more. The scenery was truly stunning and made for the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. Our reception was held in the Carriage House, which was equally gorgeous! The space was beautiful, spacious, and provided the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. There was plenty of room for our guests to enjoy themselves and, of course, lots of dancing!
I also want to give a HUGE amount of praise to the entire staff at Fort William Henry! Every single person we interacted with was wonderful. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, attentive, and so on top of everything throughout the entire evening. Their attention to detail and dedication to making sure everything ran smoothly did not go unnoticed. The food was also fantastic, and we were so happy with every aspect of our reception. It was clear that everyone involved genuinely cared about providing an amazing experience for us and our guests.
Looking back on our wedding day, I honestly wouldn’t change a single thing about our experience at Fort William Henry.
To Dawn, Keilana, and the entire Fort William Henry team, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for helping make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be! Dawn and Keilana were a joy to work with - they were extremely flexible in helping us bring our vision to life and easy to work with. It is important to ask the questions you have because with this team, you will be met with direct responses and the willingness to create from your ideas.
Their packages are inclusive, but be mindful that there are additional costs incurred that could be included (cutting the cake, handing out guest bags, lemonade and iced tea at ceremony, etc.). Overall, the team at The Carriage House knows how to throw an event and have it run smoothly.

om the moment we started planning to the very last moment of our wedding day, we felt so incredibly cared for. Dawn and Keilana went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up, organized, and running smoothly. They were constantly checking in on us, making sure we were happy, making sure we had everything we needed, and making sure every little detail was taken care of.
What meant the most to us was that they allowed us to truly enjoy our wedding day. We never felt like we had to worry about what was happening behind the scenes because we knew they had it all under control. They were always one step ahead, and their organization, kindness, and genuine care made such a huge difference.
There are so many little moments from our wedding day that we will cherish forever, and we know we were able to fully soak them in because Dawn and Keilana were there making sure everything was taken care of. They treated our wedding like it was just as important to them as it was to us, and that is something we will never forget.
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but having people like Dawn and Keilana by our side made the entire experience feel so much easier and more special. We felt heard, supported, and genuinely cared for every step of the way.
Our wedding day was truly one of the happiest days of our lives, and we are so thankful that Fort William Henry—and especially Dawn and Keilana—were such a huge part of making it so perfect. pace and fell in love with it. Keilana and Dawn were so easy to work with from the initial tour all the way through to picking up our stuff the day after the wedding. They were always available to answer any of our questions, no matter how small. They broke down the planning into parts, so it never felt overwhelming and they were always very clear about what information they needed and when. From the tasting day where we got to imagine how the space would be set up for our wedding, to the final walk through where we went through every detail of the wedding day, Keilana and Dawn were professional and enthusiastic, and we knew that our wedding was in good hands. Having the reception at the Carriage House meant many of our out of state guests were staying at the hotel which made the weekend even more fun, continuously running into people we knew throughout the weekend! Our guests raved about the beautiful cocktail hour outside, the lake views from the reception space, the delicious food, and that even with 200 people there was never a line at the bar when guests went to get a drink! The entire reception ran so smoothly, and we had an amazing time. We could not have picked a better location for our wedding reception, and we would highly recommend the Carriage House at Fort William Henry to other couples!! Thank you, Keilana and Dawn!

eekend here was. Everything about our experience was perfect. Keilana and Dawn were so easy to work with from the initial meeting, through wedding planning and most importantly on the day of. I am a type A planner and they always ensured my questions were answered and were very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. On the Friday before our wedding, we told guests we would be in the hotel bar for welcome drinks and even that was perfect. It was an incredible casual vibe inside and some guests were even outside by the fire pit. On the actual day of the wedding, Keilana and Dawn worked without hesitation to set up the wedding to each and every request I had. It was stunning and they truly worked so well with all our vendors to make sure the day was seamless. They were rockstars! The food was also incredible- all of our guests are talking about how much they loved their meals and the grilled cheese tomato soup shooters from cocktail hour. We had our ceremony on the lawn and got so lucky with beautiful weather to have the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. Our guests had an incredible experience. I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day and it all started because we chose to get married at FWH! The “new” carriage house is stunning. Even the bridal suite was perfect to get ready in & I had a large bridal party. is gorgeous, the hotel is one of the nicer ones in the area, the outdoor cocktail hour space is lovely and well kept up, and the reception space is gorgeous. We didn't even need all that many decorations inside because the carriage house did the work for us! Plus, the getting ready room onsite is a game changer. With an elevator that goes right to it, this venue was the MOST wheelchair friendly venue we looked at.
Food was good, options for cocktail hour were plentiful (the mac and cheese bar was a big hit), plus there were options for late night food including a fire pit and smores.
The staff was friendly and helpful, keeping us on task deadline-wise, and always quick to respond to our emails and questions.

se was the best of both worlds with beautiful views and an gorgeous interior. Only downside was the building is old so the bridal suit lacks much natural lighting when you have multiple girls getting ready. But overall the ease of having literally everything done for you and not having to worry about anything (setup/takedown, day of coordination, food/drinks, and place to stay) makes the price tag worth it. The moment we arrived at the hotel, everyone greeted us and congratulated us and seemed just as happy for us as our actual friends and family. The day-of, the all told me how beautiful I looked and said they had watched the ceremony from afar and were crying! Then the next day, they all congratulated us again – it felt like it was a small, close-knit staff and they made us feel so welcome. They were also great about clean-up after the wedding, as I had no idea that we were supposed to take everything away that night. Dawn and Kim were kind enough to let us keep some decor in their offices overnight so that we could coordinate bringing it all home in the morning. After all of this, they mailed my mom some of the clothes she had left in a dresser! From the planning process to the day-of, the staff of the Fort William Henry Hotel went above and beyond to make our day special.

When Stephen proposed, we knew exactly where we wanted to get married. Fort William Henry was the only venue we had on our list and it was just as great for our wedding as it was for our best friends! Dawn communicated with us throughout the entire process and helped us make our wedding perfect. The food tasting really helped us figure out what we wanted the day of the wedding with a massive selection to be able to try a lot of their dishes. We had a guest who had a lot of different food allergies and their staff was able to accommodate all of her needs to make sure that she could enjoy the wedding as well. om Queens and we had A LOT of ceremony and reception decor/items to bring up to LG so we drove up a few times a few weeks before the wedding and Dawn kept everything in her office for us. She is so calm and easygoing and never made anything a big deal. She made us feel so good and worry free about EVERYTHING! (Even when it was so hot that we had to move our welcome party from outside to inside and move the ceremony site over a few feet so our guests would be in the shade.) All the decor I brought was set up exactly how I wanted and Dawn and her team made everything look AMAZING. They even packed up everything neatly and organized at the end of the night. Right after the ceremony, there was an attendant waiting with a tray of drinks for us and the bridal party, they were very attentive and throughout the entire night the staff made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find someone who can be organized and take charge when needed, while also being so calm, easy going and accommodating. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and took care of everything, big and small, allowing us to just enjoy the day. Not only was Dawn great, but the entire staff throughout the weekend kept impressing us with their customer service. Everyone went above and beyond what we would have expected. Several members of our family and friends even commented on how that was some of the best service they’ve EVER gotten. The staff ensured that we optimized our time with our guests, while still taking the time for ourselves to enjoy everything that was going on around us. We’re from Saratoga and have been to Lake George several times, and we were still very impressed with the views (both indoors and outdoors) from the FWH. Being up on the hill you have a great view of the water and mountain background and feel like you have it all to yourselves, allowing for great photos and atmosphere. We would highly recommend the FWH to anyone looking at Lake George weddings. They have a great system down.

Fort William Henry was a great choice because they have EVERYTHING! We didn't have to worry about finding an outside caterer, day-of coordinator, bartenders, etc.
The quality of the service is amazing. I really feel like we got a lot of bang for our buck. Dawn made the planning process SUPER easy. She was very receptive to emails, held a rehearsal for us the day before (even though she had another wedding happening), checked in on me wedding morning, and coordinated us through the ceremony.
Marie and other catering staff were incredible. They made sure my husband and I got to taste all of the appetizers, and kept our drink glasses full the entire night.
Everyone said that the food and service were amazing, and I agree!
My downsides: The dance floor is a little small, but it worked for our 100 person wedding. The hotel rooms were expensive, but luckily there are plenty of places to stay in town.
Even with those downsides, this was the most beautiful wedding venue, and I would choose it again.

Dawn Bennett and her team were nothing less than amazing. Marie was our server for the tasting and for the reception and was such a great person to take care of us. The White Lion Room looked amazing and it was so great to have the Tankard Tavern and the deck outside for people to pull away from the party for a breath of fresh air. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn overlooking the lake with the foliage of the Adirondacks in the background. It was breathtaking.
The food was excellent. We had selected the platinum package for our wedding and the amount of food was perfect. We heard from so many of our guests how much they loved the spread during cocktail hour and that they were actually full after dinner!

I asked if guests could check in early? No. I asked about room blocks? Yes, but if it isn't fulfilled they would hold the bride and groom responsible for the difference. Wouldn't even let me check in early so i could get into my dress. I refused to do business with people like that. Great location, but poor attitudes. If i could give a 0 i would.
We blocked off a set of rooms here. Went out of their way to help when the groom forgot to book rooms for his groomsmen!
