A Historic Masterpiece—The Absolute Ultimate Wedding Venue!
Having our wedding at the iconic Fox Theatre in Atlanta was an absolute dream come true, and we wish we could get marrie...
d here every weekend! If you want a venue rooted in history, spectacular architecture, and unmatched cool factor right in the heart of Midtown, look no further. It is a world-class wedding venue that is often overlooked for private events, and it absolutely shouldn't be.
The venue's capabilities allowed us to bring our exact vision to life. We leaned heavily into the historic design, and the final look was stunning. Our layout flowed perfectly: we hosted our ceremony in the majestic Egyptian Ballroom, held cocktail hour in the gorgeous Grand Salon and Terrace, and then did a seamless room flip back into the Egyptian Ballroom for an unforgettable reception. The facilities are top-tier, and having our names up on the famous marquee was pure perfection.
What really sets the Fox apart is the incredible staff—huge thank you to Elisa, Steve, and Jes in particular! They were amazingly friendly and went completely above and beyond. They helped us coordinate everything from utilizing a piano for both the ceremony and reception to securing a Fire Marshal so we could use a haze machine for our custom lighting design.
For the unparalleled space and prime location—which is incredibly convenient for guests with so many nearby hotels—it is remarkably affordable. We also did a private photo shoot inside the theatre a few months before the wedding, which was well worth it. We couldn't be happier with our choice!
The staff at The Fox and Affairs to Remember made our day so memorable! Steve, Valerie and Jan….THANK YOU SO MUCH!
What can I say about The Fox.... It's such a magical venue and I'm so glad we had our wedding here. We had our wedding in the Egyptian Ballroom and it was spectacular. Nancy was ...
just wonderful to work with and she knows her stuff. The venue itself is beautiful with or without added décor and just creates such a beautiful romantic vibe. The Fox Theatre is just wonderful and we had the best wedding. Everyone was so nice and professional and knew what they were doing. If there were any issues I could not tell, and they are masters at flipping a room! Our wedding was truly magical and The Fox will always hold such a wonderful place in our hearts.
Went on the tour and was never followed up with.
The Fox Theatre name conjures up the idea of the best there is, so one would expect professional, top-notch staff to help through the process of working out all the details in plan...
ning a wedding reception. Our experience was the complete opposite. Communicating with our liaison was very difficult, as it took her weeks to respond. When she did finally get back to us, generally only one or two of our multiple questions were answered. And so the question-asking process would begin again. It was painstaking and frustrating, to say the least. This went on for weeks and weeks before the event, concerning simple issues that should have been resolved one to two months out. We were still trying to get answers and clarification a week before the wedding! Most disappointing, however, were the multiple commitments made to us that never materialized. Our poor wedding planner was in a panic hours before the reception trying to source substitutions for what the Fox had committed to supply. Despite all this, none of our frustrations and disappointments dampened the experience of the event and our guests were treated to a memorable evening. The Fox staff who worked the event were top-notch and, of course, the venue itself was one-of-a-kind and wonderful. Should you choose the Fox for your wedding venue, start early on working out the details, be persistent, stay strong, and get a thick skin. And hire a wedding planner who will do the same.
Unfortunately the Fox Theatre was the most difficult vendor to work with while planning my wedding. This iconic venue is a beautiful location that was so fun to have as our recepti...
on location. During the planning process, it took on average two weeks to receive email responses, and 10 days prior to the wedding we were still waiting on answers to multiple open questions. During the wedding reception, the staff was extremely kind and willing to help, although they did not execute on everything discussed prior to the wedding. I would recommend this venue to to couples who are looking for a beautiful and iconic Atlanta wedding venue, but only if they have a detailed coordinating team that can help work with The Fox team.
The Fox is an absolutely gorgeous and incredible place to get married. There were a number of restrictions and communication with the venue was difficult more often than not, which...
were the only drawbacks. Otherwise, we loved everything about our Fox theatre wedding!
The Fox Theatre is an Atlanta icon, and we were thrilled to have both our ceremony and reception there, using both the Grand Salon and Egyptian ballrooms. In terms of cool, unique...
venues, it is hard to beat the Fox--it is a glamorous art deco palace whose unique architecture lends itself to truly unforgettable photos. Nancy Lutz is the onsite coordinator for the Fox, and she is a joy to work with--a truly sweet woman who wants to make sure your wedding desires are met. We looked at the Atlanta History Center, the Botanical Gardens and the Biltmore ballrooms for our 200+ person wedding, and the Fox was comparable (if not a little more affordable) than these other peer institutions. We liked that the Fox did have some outdoor space (our cocktail reception was in the elegant outdoor terrace off of the Grand Salon), but it is the interior space where it really shines. The Georgian Terrace and Hotel Indigo were literally right across the street, making it an ideal location for a wedding like ours with many out-of-town guests. We did have Affairs to Remember cater our wedding, as they were the preferred caterer--the food was amazing, and while not cheap, it was in line with our budget. We did have to go back and forth a few times to strike the menu we wanted, but in the end, Affairs provided exactly what we desired (a nouveau Southern-inspired menu). If there are any negatives about the Fox, it is that the Open Bar packages are more expensive than average (you can't bring your own wine/spirits), and they essentially charge a penalty if you don't use Affairs to Remember for almost all your vendors (including floral design, and their preferred floral design was almost double in cost of the one we ended up using). But, despite these small faults, we loved the Fox and were delighted with our wedding day experience.

d the Grand Salon and Terrace and the space was the perfect size for our wedding of 150 guests. The venue has everything you need from tables and chairs, to a dance floor and stage for your band. The Fox even provided us with a "Event Coordinator" to assist with vendor deliveries and room set up on our wedding day. It made the entire planning process go very smoothly, plus we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves on our special day! Thank you Fox Theatre!
We could not ask for a more perfect and magical evening at The Fox for our daughter's wedding reception.
The Grand Salon and Terrace were gorgeous, flowers, food and band were the...
best.
We had many out of town guests and they all had the best time dancing until midnight.
Jim Lane and Jennifer Farmer went over and beyond to make this occasion a very memorable one for everyone.
The "Just Married" on the marque was the icing on the night. How special for the bride and groom.
I would highly recommend The Fox to everyone to celebrate a special occasion.
I love love loved the egyptian ballroom at the Fox Theatre. The price is up there and they sure do get you on lots of little things here and there but if you are willing to put the...
cash down then it is perfect. The room was beautiful, the setting was inviting and warm, and it was completely conducive to the perfect wedding reception. They are extremely helpful as they should be because you pay the big bucks.
