The Foxfire Adventure Park sits near the Great Smoky Mountains, adding incredible views and an extensive history to the property. In the days before park rangers patrolled the area, local settlers protected and cared for the lands. Arrowheads and other artifacts found here date these people back 10,000 years. The natural beauty of the land was threatened by wildfires, which would ignite along the dead undergrowth. The undergrowth was set ablaze by a running fox, so the name Foxfire Mountain was born. After iron was discovered on the mountain in 1820, mines were set up in search of the resource. Today, a blacksmith shop at Firefox Mountain is operated by the Thomas family, who have owned the business for seven generations. Nearlyweds and their families are invited to this remarkable spot to celebrate their milestone event in an adventure befitting of the occasion.
The Fox's Den can accommodate up to 900 guests in a beautiful outdoor pavilion. With incredible views and endless photo opportunities, couples can enjoy the songs of nature as their friends and family celebrate their love. The rustic farmhouse is nearby, providing two private suites for preparations and touch-ups throughout the festivities. A lavish courtyard offers space for a welcoming party or cocktail hour where attendees can mingle and greet one another. As dinner approaches, a Victorian-style meal can be served by the in-house catering team of The Fox and The Apple. The Fox's Den will provide tables, chairs, linens, and other rental items for added convenience.
