About this vendor
The Foxtail Estate is a wedding venue and boutique bed and breakfast located in the waterfront historic district of Daytona Beach, FL. For many years abandoned and forgotten, this historic property was purchased in 2017 by Amira and Yuri Melnichenko. Its restoration, mostly done by the owners themselves, has been a true labor of love, and today, the property is a place of beauty.
The building was constructed in 1875 as a General Store. The home was placed on the National Historic Register in 1987, but was soon after left unkept. Amira and Yuri discovered the building while on a walk through the city’s Historic District, and they immediately fell in love with it. They had long dreamed of owning a wedding venue of their own, and they felt that they had finally found the perfect spot. They are delighted to be able to share that dream with you and they hope that The Foxtail Estate can help you turn your own dreams into a reality.
Amira and Yuri know that your big day is too important to be rushed and they want you to have a personalized experience. The half-acre grounds abound with visions of beauty, lovely to behold. Happy couples may find their haven in the enchanting garden, where ceremonies and receptions take place in the protective shade of majestic trees. Parties of up to 150 people can celebrate here. In periods of inclement weather, a large tent stands ready to offer shelter to the newlyweds and their guests. The bed and breakfast is comprised of three rooms and an exquisite common room area. The spacious Thompson Suite offers a blend of old-world charm and modern convenience. It includes a lovely fireplace, antique soaking tub, and a vanity dressing area. The Rhodes Room is a bright, cheery space, and it is the only room with a private balcony. The Robinson Room combines hardwood floors and soft furnishings to create an effect that promises both style and comfort.
The Foxtail Estate offers a number of wedding packages for you to consider. You can choose to enjoy a single-day package, or you can opt for a weekend experience. The single-day package gives you access to the facility’s get-ready rooms and includes a selection of tables and chairs. The weekend experience offers these, plus lodging, a day-of coordinator, and access to the grounds for the duration of your celebration weekend. All-inclusive packages and micro-wedding packages are also available. These customizable packages are designed to give you everything you need for your special day.

What a gorgeous wedding space and a darling Bed and Breakfast! The wedding we attended was decorated so beautifully and definitely set the mood for a sweet and quaint ceremony. We ...
noticed how extremely helpful and friendly the owner was throughout the event. Would recommend a visit, whether it be for the B&B or for a wedding!
The estate is beautiful. That you can tell by the beautiful pictures and Daytona is a beautiful and sweet beach town. When I first arrived, I was enamored by the history and the se...
rene beauty of the house and the grounds. I loved the idea of having an entire weekend dedicated to my best friend’s wedding. Although, the more I learned about her experience and began experiencing things on my own, the more my vision was blurred.
My best friend is incredibly organized and has worked incredibly hard to get where she is in life. We’re not from a rich background and anything we do in life is earned. My best friend appreciated the idea of this wedding venue being a DIY because she had a specific vision for her wedding, as does every bride.
My friend told me of the disorganization of this wedding venue from the beginning and the experience of snarky, passive-aggressive comments from the owner but I never knew the extent until I arrived and started experiencing it for myself.
When my friend first began planning her wedding at this venue, she was prepared. She had diagrams, examples, and ideas ready to go for them. The purpose of her preparedness was to make sure the venue got it right and was prepared for what she was bringing to the table. Because the venue was DIY and they had an event coordinator who needed to be involved, she wanted to make it as easy as possible for them to understand the plan. My friend set up a zoom meeting with the wedding venue coordinator and they no-showed her and then never tried after that to set up another meeting. After that, the owner of the venue showed her disorganization by losing entire plans through email from my friend and then blaming it on “technology.”
When I first met the owner she seemed bubbly and kind. However, we didn’t make it five minutes into our conversation before she began making snarky and insensitive comments about my best friend which she continued to make throughout our time of preparing for the wedding. During our first conversation, she used sarcasm as an undercover way of “making fun” of my friend for being prepared and as a defense for her unprofessionalism. After that, she continued to make insensitive and rude comments about us and my friend for having normal nerves about things being right. One comment, in particular, was extremely rude: “You all need a Xanax.” I have never experienced or thought I would experience this type of rudeness from the owner of a wedding venue.
The wedding coordinator, Ryan, and the wedding coordinator intern ended up being amazing in the end. They worked their butts off to make sure it looked beautiful and actually took the time to listen to my friend. Both the coordinators showed empathy for my friend.
What I would like to see differently for another bride is for Amira to learn compassion and keep her insensitive comments to herself. And if she has feelings or thoughts about another bride, DON’T SHARE THEM WITH THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THE BRIDE. And, understand that admitting you were wrong isn’t an admission of defeat, it’s just a step towards growth and grace.
We loved Foxtail. If you are a DIY couple and love to put your personal touch on everything, this is the place to do it. You get the base of a beautiful venue just asking to be mad...
e yours on YOUR day. Amira, her staff, and the vendors she has recommended on her website are not only professional, they love what they do. You will never feel worried under their care. The hospitality, care and love that goes into you, the guest, is undeniable. Thank you so much Foxtail!

f a fun party feel. Our experience at Foxtail with the weekend package exceeded all of my expectations. We used their day of coordinator Plan To Party Orlando as well to set up our decor and help us run through the day it went off without a hitch! Between the amazing customer service from Amira with delicious breakfast and even better company and advice to the gorgeous setting of the house and grounds I couldn't have asked for more as a bride. I would reccomend this venue to anyone looking for an intimate beautiful canvas to make any style or color palette pop. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you again Amira!
Where do I even begin?? Perfection. Amira was more than helpful during this entire wedding planning process. She went above and beyond and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue....
The property is absolutely gorgeous, the bridal suite is the perfect size with a little area for hair and makeup with ALL the natural light a bride could ask for one getting pampered on her day. The groomsmens get to overlook the venue while they are enjoying the day of. Not to mention, the other bedroom is super cute too! During the wedding weekend I was so focused on my wedding I didn’t get to enjoy all the amenities Amira has to offer. With that being said the groom and myself will be back to stay at her bed and breakfast so we can sit, relax and enjoy her beautiful house and that front porch. The wedding ran completely smooth with absolutely no bumps. I am truly blessed I picked to start my Forever at The Foxtail Estate.
This place is so romantic, cozy, and has all the amenities you’d want in having your wedding party get ready here. I was a maid of honor recently and my boyfriend and I stayed the ...
night in one of the rooms. All the rooms are beautiful and so clean. When getting to the venue Amira greeted me with so much kindness and instantly was there to answer any questions that were needed. Who doesn’t love someone who gives there all these days and really makes you feel special? Well she did that! The breakfast was wonderful, her service is unique and lovely. You can tell that her and her husband put their all into what they do here and the venue itself is just gorgeous. There is so much green, feels really open and beautiful. We appreciate all she did for us and her professionalism but yet friendship gives this venue 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place for weddings.

out the stresses that come with planning. We visited the venue before booking and Amira was very welcoming.
I considered a few elopement options before landing on the Foxtail Estate, but in the end, I liked that we would receive the bridal suite for the evening and that I still got to work with each vendor to personalize the day to our taste. Amira was very kind about my endless questions and was happy to accommodate some small requests.
Amira and her photographer of choice, Paola, are friends and that lends to their ability to work well together. I am extremely pleased with the pictures from the day that allowed us to share with all those that were not able to attend.
The overnight stay was a nice treat – we did not have to worry about packing and rushing home after the fun. The bed was comfortable and there was coffee and a light breakfast available the next morning. We enjoyed talking with Amira for a while before departing for our mini-moon. She is definitely one of those people you feel you could easily be friends with. The passion and work she and her husband put into the venue is very impressive and I give her so much credit for efforts.
Overall, if you want simple, straightforward, stress free, this was a great alternative. It let us still have the basics like cake and a champagne toast (although we ran out of time for a first dance) that we wouldn’t have easily managed with a courthouse ceremony. The entire event is only an hour and this is a deadline they are strict about – if you are looking for more time or frill, the next package up for a micro-wedding seems to allow for this and provide a bit more relaxed schedule for the day without much more cost.
A few things to note:
-If flowers are very important to you, spring for an upgrade to the package – the flowers were okay but not the freshest or best bouquet I have received. The vendor didn’t listen to what I requested (no roses, loosely tied bouquet) but I know February is not necessarily the easiest month for flowers. They looked just fine in photos so it was not a deal breaker.
-The street outside the B&B is busy. If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend earplugs. They did provide a sound machine type program on the TV but I know some people can’t sleep with the light of the TV on.
-The location of this venue is PERFECT!! We had at least five dinner options all within walking distance from the estate. This made our wedding dinner just as easy as the rest of the elopement. We changed and walked about 6 or 7 minutes from the venue – we felt safe and the streets are well lit.
-The bridal suite is quite large and can definitely accommodate a big party – we did find the sunroom where the vanity sits a tad warm while getting ready. Consider a fan if you run hotter, like I do.
The Foxtail Estate allowed every daydream of ours to come true. We loved getting ready at the location & staying there for the evening of the wedding! It was the “easy button” for ...
us as we selected selected the micro wedding package. Amira had open communication with us & really cares about her clients. The space to get ready in the bridal suite took away a lot of stress as opposed to getting ready elsewhere & traveling over. Our guests loved the unique venue & made a weekend of the event by staying in nearby bnbs. The outdoor space itself was perfect for our event. The string lights, beautiful trees and Florida sunset made me feel like a was living a fairytale. So romantic & sweet. The homemade breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious!! Couldn’t recommend this gem of a venue enough.

ating and provided recommendations as needed. The grounds/gardens were pefect for an outdoor wedding. Tents were provided in case of the Florida weather. Both the maid of honor and best man traveled for the wedding and were able to stay at The Foxtail Estate with us.
Best venue ever!!!
I was a 2020 bride, so my plans were constantly changing.
All of the original plans I had made for my wedding had to be changed due to covid-19, and my 300 pers...
on wedding had to be pushed back.
But I still wanted to get married on my original date, with our 15 closest relatives. So I started searching for a new venue 3 months out and found the foxtail estate!
Amira was wonderful! She already had packages prepared for brides like me who were looking for something small. And what made it even better – everything was included!!!
From the officiant, and the flowers, to the cake and photographer, I didn't have to do anything but get myself to the venue.
The day was perfect, and I can't thank Amira enough for everything!!!
Truly made our dreams come true! Amira was a great communicator and she really guided us to make this wedding our own. We did a "micro-wedding" as we only had 18 guests and it was ...
fabulous! The package came with cake, photography, flowers and so much more! Not only did Amira do a wonderful job, but the vendors that she recommended for us such as photographer and the florist were a delight to work with! The venue is perfectly setup to have a party also! This historical building has the most positive and loving energy- Amira has a wonderful book of all of the residents that have lived there in the past which I find to be absolutely amazing! If you're looking for something unique, memorable, and with only the best energy, then you found your place at the Foxtail Estate!
I can't express with enough words how awesome Foxtail and Amira were for our intimate October wedding! The venue is gorgeous, spacious, and full of greenery for those who like the ...
backyard or jungle vibe with room for dancing and sweet photo op spots. The bed and breakfast, bridal, and groom suite were perfect. Amira is super helpful, intentional, proactive, flexible, and incredibly sweet. She did everything she could to make our day perfect and exactly how we wanted it and went above and beyond for us. She's the best!

I got in love with the place. Its style, greenery scenery and big space on the back of the venue that can serve from a Wedding, Sweet 16 or Corporate event. Ceremony area looks awesome and this is amazing for pictures plus been in Daytona Beach makes it a perfect choice for your next event and also stay for the night and be safe about it. Oh by the way, great customer service like for example her owner Amira is super nice, respectful and have great ideas. Plus talented.

We did the micro wedding package during these Covid times and we were so pleased with all the services including the cake from Delectable Delights, the officiant Melissa, the flowers from Zahns’s flowers and the photographer Paola Ohlson. The venue was perfect for our small wedding☺️

re modern & slightly traditional atmosphere. The backyard of the estate is so beautiful and has plenty of room to have a wedding ceremony there. The beautiful greenery in the back is definitely a sight to see. I highly recommend the Foxtail Estate to host any event or even to just come & stay when you are in the area!

to reunite with our best friends who live all over the country.
We had a casual welcome party Friday night on the grounds and it was so great to spend some time with our friends and family before the big day.
We loved that it was a B&B and that it was historic, but the decor was modern, funky and blended the old and new together perfectly. was It such an amazing perk to be able to get ready with my girls in the Bridal Suite: we were dancing to Mariah with our room's Alexa, drinking champagne, getting glammed up in the sunroom and were able to look out the window to see the venue space to make sure everything was going according to plan to keep everyone at ease.
There are no words to describe our wedding: magical, whimsical, dreamy... it was everything we ever wanted and more! We were cutting it up on the dance floor,
We loved that they included a day-of coordinator for our who was amazing and made sure that the timing was right for everything and that all of our vendors were in check!
The best part was, it wasn't over yet! Sunday morning we were able to have one more breakfast together with our family before leaving for our honeymoon.
The owners have done such an amazing job restoring this historic property and turning it into the magical garden venue it is today. We wouldn't change a thing! Thanks x a million, can we do it again next year??
