The Frosted Fox Cake Shop

Frosted Fox was recommended to us by our venue as a preferred vendor. Working with Jenn was very easy and she was super comfortable to work with. We were able to pinpoint the type of cake that we wanted fairly quickly and Jenn made sure that our vision for our cake came true. The cake was absolutely delicious and we are still hearing rave reviews from our guests about the cake. We highly recommend Frosted Fox to help make your wedding day that much more special.

The Frosted Fox was amazing! From our initial call with the baker to the tasting to the delivery, everything went so smoothly! The cakes are delicious! We continue to use them for birthdays and special events.

TL;DR: responsive, transparent, professional. Budget-friendly. Moist, flavourful cakes. Easy taste-testing. Excellent design execution. I have had an excellent experience working with Frosted Fox for our very belated wedding-ish party. Theirs was the only bake shop of several that I called that actually picked up and immediately provided rough prices (well within out budget). Not only are they responsive, but also transparent and were willing to work with me on flavours and design to meet my budget. Their storefront also has “scrapple cups” made of excess cake scraps and frosting that easily let you try their flavour combinations. These not only helped us taste-test (which can otherwise be expensive with an official tasting, and often cannot be scheduled at all on a short notice like for our party), but is also a more accurate representation of the final product than say cupcakes would be (as some shops do for taste-testing), which bake differently than cake and can often be drier than the actual cakes. We had a lot of back and forth and they were very patient and full of expert advice on flavours and design both. We came up with designs together and their execution far exceeded my expectations. Also, they didn’t use any fondant. The cakes tasted amazing and were moist with good texture and had really well-proportioned filling and frosting. I love desserts but don’t like being overwhelmed with sugar. The cakes were not overly sweet, but had the flavours shine through. We bought three single-tier cakes with individualised floral designs - chocolate cake / chocolate frosting / Bavarian cream; carrot cake / cream cheese frosting / chai filling; and lemon cake / passionfruit and lemon curd alternating / cream cheese frosting. I loved each of these. I can’t pick a favourite. I wholeheartedly recommend Frosted Fox!

Our wedding cake was perfect and the best cake we have ever eaten. Jennifer is wonderful to work with making the entire process from tasting box to final drop off as easy as possible. She takes the time to make sure she knows your exact vision, sketching it out and accommodating all possible requests (more than one filling, offering rented cake stands, etc.). All 4 tiers of our cake were delicious and we are forever obsessed with the raspberry jam.

We are so glad we went with Frosted Fox for our wedding cake. We went with a three tiered- semi naked cake. Flavors were yellowcake with Bavarian cream, devils food with Bavarian cream, and yellow cake with strawberry jam. Everything was super fresh, cakes were moist, and not too sweet! The Devils Food flavor may actually be my favorite chocolate cake of all time. We also really appreciated the little cartoon modeling chocolate figurine of our dog they were able to create. Overall, super talented team and great cakes! Can't wait to get our anniversary cake from them :)

Frosted Fox made the most incredible cake for my wedding. I got married in an art museum and had a very specific vision for how I wanted the cake to look – I wanted to cake to have brush strokes throughout to look like it was a piece of art. Frosted Fox executed that vision perfectly. We had a 4 tier cake with different flavors and our guests are still talking about how good our cake was. We saved the top layer and ate it the day after our wedding and can confirm, it was delicious! I would highly recommend using them for any wedding cake needs, their team is extremely talented.

The Frosted Fox was without a question the BEST wedding cake company to work with. Initially, we did 5 separate tastings in the Philly region, and they were the clear cut winners with their thoughtfully crafted tasting box and overall incredible flavor profiles. The decoration for our cake also turned out better than I could have ever imagined. They took our inspiration photos and created something unique and tailored to our day. The colors they used ended up matching our venue and decor spot-on. We cannot wait for our one-year anniversary to enjoy our cake topper, and we will now have a bakeshop that will be a go-to for all future life events! Cannot recommend this cake shop enough.

Superb! I ordered a groom's cake and a wedding cake from them and their cakes are DELICIOUS! The groom's cake was also made to be a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs, and it turned out fabulous! Our guests also LOVED the inclusion of our dogs on our wedding cake. I will definitely be ordering all my future cakes from here!!!

The cake was so good! The entire process was so easy, starting with the tasting box- this was such a fun way to sample everything with our family. We couldn't decide on even just two flavor combinations... and luckily we didn't have to! Jennifer was so great to work with, and was able to design an incredibly beautiful cake that perfectly captured the colors and mountain theme that we were going for. From texture to flavor to sweetness to design, the cake was seriously amazing!

We were thrilled with our wedding cake from The Frosted Fox. As a dessert lover and baker myself, I have high standards for cake, and our cake was a dream come true. We chose the devils food cake with the chocolate mousse filling and standard vanilla buttercream frosting. The buttercream was silky smooth and not too sweet. Often wedding cakes are dense and/or dry, and ours was neither. It was moist, fluffy, and perfectly light and decadent at the same time. We and our guests loved it so much we finished the leftovers at breakfast the next morning! Jennifer and Sean were a pleasure to work with too—we asked for a semi-naked cake and they matched our vision perfectly. We also opted for an identical flavor kitchen cake in addition to the 2-tier cake we displayed, because we liked the look of a smaller cake better but needed more slices given our guest count. We hope to come back and have their cake again on future anniversaries!

Jennifer did an excellent job executing the vision for our wedding cake. The guests and staff at the venue all marveled at this masterpiece. We have used Frosted Fox in the past for other cakes and goodies, and we have never been disappointed. We are very fortunate to have such a high-quality bakery in the area. For what it's worth, we tried the other cake bakeries in the area (including the other ones along Germantown Avenue), and nothing compares to the taste of Frosted Fox.

We had an absolutely amazing experience working with the Frosted Fox Cake Shop. We opted for a cake tasting box to try out flavors and icings and we were so impressed with all of the flavors and options. We decided on a cake with layers of pumpkin with cream cheese frosting and chocolate with raspberry sauce. It was a hit! It was absolutely delicious and looked fabulous at our wedding.

We ended up getting two small cakes because the frostings and curds were so good we couldnt just choose one combination. Jennifer was super helpful in answering our questions and making the process easy and COVID friendly. The cakes were so good, delivery was easy, and I will definitely be returning to the cafe to see what other amazing treats they offer.

Because of COVID, we scrapped our original destination wedding and decided to have our wedding in PA. We found the Frosted Fox through our venue’s preferred vendor list and the owner, Jennifer, was kind and understanding from the start. With COVID protocols, we had our cake tasting with a take out box of 6 cupcakes, each cupcake was a different favor (devil’s food, red velvet, carrot, lemon, yellow and confetti/white cake), along with fillings (Chocolate mousse, Bavarian cream, raspberry jam, lemon curd, passion fruit curd and cream cheese icing). We basically did all of the planning virtually and it turned out amazing! Jennifer was very quick to answer all my questions and our guests loved the cake!

We are picky when it comes to cake, and we could not have been more pleased with our wedding cake! We did a tasting box first, to be sure we picked the right combination of tastes for our cake. We decided on almond cake with 2 raspberry layers and 1 layer of bavarian cream. It was simply delicious. Not only was it amazing in taste, but the design was beautiful! Thank you Frosted Fox for an amazing cake for our big day!

Frosted Fox met our expectations and more for our wedding cake!! We tasted during covid and they gave us a box to take away of 6 picked flavors and fillings. We had a meeting with the owner over zoom to create our cake. Their cake is BEYOND DELICIOUS! We thought we would go with classic white or yellow cake but ended up with banana because it was UNREAL! We also got carrot sheet cake to serve at the wedding. The guests raved about it. Communication was steady and the shop was flexible. Cake was delivered right on time and beautiful. I worked with Jennifer from Frosted Fox to create our wedding cake, and they did an exceptional job. I had reached out pretty short notice--we decided to plan an entire wedding in only 100 days--and Jennifer went above and beyond to accommodate and complete our vision for a perfect cake. We did most of our planning via the phone or email correspondence, but the bakery totally understood our vision. They ended up creating a gorgeous semi-naked three-tiered cake adorned with fresh seasonal fruits, flowers, and greenery. I can't comment on flavors of the cake itself, since I didn't actually get any, but I heard from guests that they loved the pumpkin and lemon cake flavors that we had to offer. I would highly recommend working with The Frosted Fox Cake Shop!

We were so happy with the experience we had at The Frosted Fox Cake Shop. Our wedding day went off the rails, as it did for many couples. Six weeks before our wedding, we found ourselves having to completely change the plans- including our wedding cake. Cake was low on the list of priorities, but my husband, knowing how much I love dessert, wanted to make sure we had something delicious. Jenny and the Frosted Fox were prompt and professional. We had our take home tasting within a few days- and it was such a struggle to choose which cake to pick since they were all so delicious! We ended up getting a wedding cake and cupcakes as well so we could have multiple flavors! The decoration of the desserts was absolutely beautiful and fit in to our Fall decor. Our guests raved about the delicious desserts, and many people took home the leftovers! We so appreciate the wonderful experience from The Frosted Fox- they helped make our change of plans wedding day extra sweet!

We were so happy with the cakes we had at our wedding from the Frosted Fox! We are lucky enough to live in the neighborhood and knew we wanted them to bake our wedding cakes, but our experience was above and beyond what we could have imagined! Jen was so great to work with from the tasting, to designing our cakes, to getting them to our venue all in one piece. We had a great time at the tasting; Frosted Fox has a lot of great and unique flavors which Jen helped us to narrow down and create great flavor combos for both our cakes. Walking into the Frosted Fox is like walking into a Wes Anderson movie. It's so instantly welcoming, and the cookies are always fresh. Jenny and Sean did my wedding cake in September 2018, and just a week ago, for our anniversary, we ordered a simple cake in the same style, rather than freeze a cake top (eww). One of the cake filling options is passionfruit curd. It's so good, it will change your life. As soon as I tried it, it became my favorite cake flavor, and so my wife and I agreed (more or less simultaneously) that we should have it in our wedding cake (yellow cake, vanilla buttercream, and that passionfruit curd). On the outside of the cake was a botanical motif, juxtaposed with actual flowers. Their fondant artichoke was pretty convincing, even next to the genuine article. TL;DR: I love the Frosted Fox, can't recommend them enough, try the passionfruit curd

Frosted Fox Cake did an incredible job with our wedding cake! They were very attentive to our design ideas and helped us put together the perfect cake package for our wedding. And the flavor...wow. The cakes not only look good, they taste amazing. We highly recommend!

I can't say enough about how wonderful The Frosted Fox was to work with. Jen was a pleasure to work with and made everything so easy. I've found the cake at most weddings I've attended to be "meh" at best. I assumed wedding cakes were mostly meant to look good. Our cake was not only gorgeous, it was delicious! So many of our guests commented on how good the cake was. I also need to mention how awesome Sean is. He not only delivered our cake and set it up, he helped us carry items (including heavy cases of water) into our venue and up a flight of stairs!

I was so happy to find our favorite bakery did awesome wedding cakes! We had a lovely tasting and worked closely with Jen and Sean to create a lego-themed, three-tier wedding cake. The result was spectacular -- original, elegant, and delicious. The entire process was exactly what you would hope - personal, supportive, and fun. We can't wait for our one year anniversary (they even gave us tips about storage and transport of that top tier).

My wife and I love Jenny, Sean, and the Frosted Fox Cake Shop! We had such a wonderful time with Jenny at our tasting, and were impressed right away with the amazing flavors and design work that Jenny pitched to us. We ultimately settled on almond cake with raspberry jam, white cake with vanilla buttercream, chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, and white cake with passionfruit jam (our favorite!) Jenny helped us design a gorgeous semi-naked cake with Korean buttercream flowers that matched my wife's bouquet. We had an animal theme at our wedding so we also added two painted field mice nestled in the flowers. Our guests would not stop talking about how good the cake was after the wedding! We brought the leftovers to our Sunday Brunch and not a single scrap was left. I highly highly recommend you choose the Frosted Fox Cake Shop for your wedding. We could not be happier with our wedding cake. We can't wait to go back for birthdays and special events!

My wife and I used this shop to bake our wedding cake and they were amazing! We had wedding guests that were eating 2-3 slices of cake and they aren’t even “cake lovers” (as i am...😉)! The process with the Frosted Fox was seamless from beginning to end and the costs were so reasonable! They delivered the cake right to the edge of their delivery area which, for us, was in Bucks County in the New Hope/Solebury area. They made our cake exactly the way we wanted it and people loved the rainbow surprise inside! We will be looking to them to make a small replica for our one year anniversary! We live in Mt Airy and were already fans of the delightful bakeshop in our neighborhood. FF is amazing and the owners are always there working of things, which I think speaks so highly of the business. Their cookies, cakes and lemon bars are killer. SO good. I knew I wanted to do a cake tasting there the second we got engaged. Even though we had 18 months between our engagement and our wedding, I reached out to FF right away to get details about a cake tasting. We didn't even bother going anywhere else. We LOVED the tasting. Jenny gave us space to play with the flavors ourselves and then cake back when we were ready to talk us through the process. Of course the cake was delicious and we're counting down the days for our first anniversary to taste our cake all over again. Thanks Jenny and Sean!

We used FF to handle desserts for our December wedding. The entire experience was just fabulous. A cake/cupcake tasting can become overwhelming, but Jen helped so much with the process. As we went through all the combinations of flavors/icings, she helped us arrive at several that would work well together but would also tie into the meals served for dinner. We opted for cupcakes and they were beautifully iced & displayed. And the taste! Our guests raved about how moist the cupcakes were and how tasty the icings were without being overly sweet. We had a small carrot cake with cream cheese icing for cutting and my hubby/I finished the entire piece on the plate!! If you choose FF for your dessert needs, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Planning our Philadelphia wedding from Los Angeles was no easy feat. However, Jennifer and her team at Frosted Fox were amazing in helping us finalize our wedding cake. I attended the tasting alone (delicious), and was able to sample all the different flavors I requested. We decided to go with a lemon/passionfruit combo cake and all the guests absolutely loved it. I will definitely be ordering cakes from Jennifer for future events in the Philadelphia area.
