Located in New Orleans, LA, The Gallery on Magazine is an 1866 building that is ideal for extravagant and glamorous weddings. As part of the city's heritage, this venue has withstood the test of time. At that time, Louis Faessel and father-in-law Anton Ritter purchased land in the city. After two years, the duo hired an architect, Adam Graner, to structure a building on the lots they had bought. In 1869, Louis gained sole ownership of the land and its contents after buying out Anton's interest. This came a year after his late-wife, Magdalena Ritter, passed. Later, he got remarried to a woman named Anna Betz and lived happily alongside her and his two young sons. Nowadays, The Gallery on Magazine can host a range of functions. These may include social gatherings, weddings, pop-ups, and many more. In total, the interior consists of approximately 4,000 square feet while the wraparound porch contributes another 1,500 square feet. From this perch, couples and their guests can overlook Magazine Street, taking in the sights, smells, and sounds that are New Orleans. Inside is just as stunning as outside. Molding and columns create a sense of grandeur while large, light-flooded windows illuminate the banquet space. For evening functions, there are glittering chandeliers that emit a warm glow, creating an atmosphere that is conducive to dining or dancing.
