I found others to not be quite as forthcoming with that in advance of the meeting. When we met for the first time, I could see the potential of the beautiful venue, even in Feburary. They were very thorough in asking about our vision for the day and providing suggestions. They have a crazy amount of decor available at no additional cost, all the table centers, candles, all types of candle holders and glass items, easels, etc. that takes a great deal of worry and cost out of decorating. They offer many option for linens at a reasonable fee, and have beautiful dishes, serving pieces, etc. for your use. The catering options were very extensive and reasonably priced, compared to other locals. They were super flexible in allowing you to select from all the different items, and were good to offer up suggestions. We had heard from others that the food was always excellent, and when we showed up for a tasting nothing disappointed! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. That sealed the deal for us and we put down a 50% deposit for the venue. In the lead-up to the wedding, we met a few times, and they were gracious about us "popping in" to the venue in the afternoon hours to take a look at things for our planning. We finalized the menu a few weeks out and head count 2 weeks before. Julie provided a super detailed timeline to ensure every detail was covered, down to what we preferred to drink that day so that the staff could keep us in beverages. No bride should have to fetch her own drink! The day of our wedding went off perfectly. We had secured the office as a bridal suite/lounge early in the day and had decorating hours in the morning. We had designated parking spots for all our vendors and later for wedding party and family. The location allowed close by lunch options and the Chancellor hotel was our guests' hotel. It rained from 1:30 pm to almost 5, and I kept my cool, as we had planned for the afternoon showers and everything was managed. When the rain passed, the staff quickly had everything dried off and ready for our first pictures at 530 pm. Julie ensured everything for our ceremony and reception went perfectly as scripted, down to managing the background music herself! We had decided to have an intimate dinner in the bridal suite while our guests enjoyed the buffet and it was perfect, to sit down to beautifully prepared plates and have a few minutes of quiet reflection and time together before we party!! All the guests were very complementary of the food - spinach/artichoke dip, beautiful mixed green salad, mini muffulettas, smoked pork tenderloin with fresh yeast rolls and horseradish sauce, bacon wrapped shrimp, new potato rounds with ricotta and parmesan and fruit salad. The entire reception was managed beautifully. The Garden Room in a beautiful venue for any event. But what made it extraordinary was Julie and her staff. Their engagement from the very beginning, attention to every detail, and quality of product and service provided was really so much more than I expected. They didn't just provide a place, they helped us host the perfect wedding and reception. I highly recommend the Garden Room for your party or event.

benefits do not stop there. Early on, it was a leading contender in our search for a stop to get hitched. It pulled ahead as we decided on a guest list and budget. We were dead set on having a full wedding for as little as possible. This place let that happen. We were blessed with great weather on our wedding day, but had it rained, the interior would have been a great spot for the ceremony as well. The catering was exceptional. Having an event/wedding planner dedicated to our needs helped more than I expected. Not only was everything thought of beforehand, she coordinated all of our activities the day of our wedding. Not to mention, after the service, we had time to eat lunch by ourselves in the bridal suite/office. All of the leftover food was boxed appropriately and sent with our family as requested. The facilities were ready and laid out as we had agreed. Everything was clean. I really can't say enough about this place. If your guest list can fit, book it. Today.

Julie was our coordinator and she handled EVERYTHING for us. You also get a discounted rate for linens ($150 for all napkins and table clothes) and use of their bridal suite for an extra $50. Communication with the Garden Room months prior to the wedding is lacking, but from my understanding, there were some personal issues with the owner. She more than made up for it on the day of the wedding. While i was busy getting ready, she made sure all vendors were where they needed to be, helped set up, and kept us true to the time line. My only downfall to using The Garden Room was having to use their catering. Their food was fine, but a little pricey for what you're getting. However, you can bring your own cake, so it's workable. We had a very simple, rustic wedding. I would recommend The Garden Room to anyone who is interested in a similar style.

planner included with the venue which helped tremendously. My one complaint was they didn't allow outside catering, but their food was delicious so as long as you know that ahead of time. They do allow outside desserts/cakes, though. I found the price reasonable for everything we got. Some people complain about "hidden costs" - it is true that there are additional expenses beyond the base rental fee - for example, $50 for the bridal suite, $50 or $100, something like that for decorating time. However, all of those expenses are listed on their website so I added them up ahead of time so there were no surprises. The price I listed included the venue, food, and alcohol for ~105 people. Eden and Julie are both GREAT to work with, and our evening looked magical here - even with the off-and-on rain.

The room rental includes use of both the indoor and outdoor space. This is really wonderful since it alleviates the worry of "what if the weather is bad?" because they can set the wedding up inside if necessary. Also, the prices are set up so that you can pick and choose what you would like to have in order to keep to your budget. There are also many complimentary items available such as paper lanterns and the music system. Julie, the owner, is wonderful! She is so sweet, and is great at helping fulfill your wedding visions. She was very accommodating, and even has a ton of decorations that can be used for no extra charge. I am sensitive to cigarette smoke and wanted to be able to make sure that no one smoked where the ceremony was. Julie placed no smoking signs at the entrances and exits for me. Julie and her staff set up the food, drinks, and cake for our reception in a tasteful way. They also kept everything replenished. I will warn that the lighting is slightly dim in the indoor space, so make sure your photographer is prepared with the right equipment. Overall we loved how we were treated by Julie, and the beautiful set up of the Garden Room!

deal for that low key, vintage wedding that needs hardly any decorating because it's beautiful in itself. The only downfall is that I had a couple of guests tell me that the staff was pushy with them (ex taking their plates before they were done) or kicking them out for having any type of alcohol besides the beer and wine.

this was perfect and made our wedding even more beautiful. The staff was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. If you go to view the venue, I would suggest asking if it is possible to look at it on a day it is set up for a wedding, it really helped me visualize my own wedding!

ding photos. Be warned. The management at the place will make you change your mind about renting them. They are terrible at communicating at all until a week before the wedding and then start handing out threats. The coordinator I worked with actually quit right in the middle of my wedding and walked out. She didn't tell the other staff to leave when they were supposed to so I got overcharged on my bill without a refund. Rent this place only if you can ignore details and are okay with dealing with rude, uncooperative people!
