Located in Valley View, TX, The Gardenia Wedding & Event Venue makes their space available for happy couples with guests of varying size. This elegant location features a classic white chapel and wide reception area on 40 acres of land for a private, romantic setting. The wide view of seemingly endless green pastures will be your surroundings as you walk down the aisle.
This event space is named after the owners’ favorite flower, which is said to be the flower of heaven. Married couple Hunter and Christine Scheffler were inspired to build the property while looking for their own wedding venue. They wanted something close enough to the big city, but far enough away to have a pastoral aesthetic. Hunter and Christine combined the best of both worlds with The Gardenia, which is just a 20-minute drive from the city of Denton. While conveniently located, it gives you enough space in the idyllic countryside to make you feel right at home.
The Gardenia Wedding & Event Venue features an outdoor courtyard, reception hall, and chapel that can seat from 50 to 300 guests. The reception hall gives couples 5,300 square feet of floor space, surrounded by 20-foot gallery windows for natural light and scenery. Their outdoor bar area, covered porch and arch rentals provide a comfortable, pet-friendly option for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail receptions. Wedding party suites onsite feature separate lounge areas, private restrooms, private balconies, and large TVs for prenuptial relaxation. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are climate controlled with air-conditioning and heaters to keep you and your guests comfortable in any season. For timeless images, the venue’s serene pond and large front-facing fountain can serve as the ideal backdrop for your photographers to work with. The team’s one-event-per-day policy ensures that you and your guests will have the place to yourselves from the wedding prep to the reception. The staff will handle setup and takedown, and provide crossback chairs, round tables, and farm tables for indoor or outdoor use.

The idea for The Gardenia was born when we were looking for a wedding venue of our own. We wanted a beautiful place close to Dallas/Fort Worth but far enough away to be outside of the city. Located in Valley View, Texas, The Gardenia is just under an hour away from the metroplex and 20 minutes away from Denton. We have 40 beautiful acres of land set aside for you to share your most important day with your loving family and friends. We want to create a magical experience for you.

mony with the wedding chapel. Weather permitting, having the cocktail area outside is very nice as well for the transition of guest. The Owners are very attentive leading up to the wedding. They have strict guidelines we appreciated! It is an extraordinarily beautiful venue with amazing windows and a great vibe throughout the venue.
Side note: you do have to read through the requirements like having a security officer & using their bartenders.
unfortunately not a lot of Air bnbs & hotels near by. but we didn’t hear any complaints. we created hotel blocks in the Denton area. Thank you Hunter & team at the Gardenia for a great wedding!

The rental fee was very reasonable and provided everything we were looking for all in one location. He and his wife Christine, are a dynamic duo and I love that they seem very authentic and intentional! Their intentions are to make the process seamless and peaceful. Bravo to them!!!
They have built a place that is lovely, but also a place for everyone. It can be used as is because they did the black and white minimalistic so well OR you can turn this space into any vibe of your dreams! The location is convenient for your vendors and your guests!!!

I never waited longer than 30 minutes for a reply back to questions or concerns. The only downside was not being able to pick our own bartending services (HD liquid catering is STRICT) but that would have in no way changed my mind about this venue. I will remember my beautiful wedding forever and so will many others!
