Located in Valley View, TX, The Gardenia Wedding & Event Venue makes their space available for happy couples with guests of varying size. This elegant location features a classic white chapel and wide reception area on 40 acres of land for a private, romantic setting. The wide view of seemingly endless green pastures will be your surroundings as you walk down the aisle.
This event space is named after the owners’ favorite flower, which is said to be the flower of heaven. Married couple Hunter and Christine Scheffler were inspired to build the property while looking for their own wedding venue. They wanted something close enough to the big city, but far enough away to have a pastoral aesthetic. Hunter and Christine combined the best of both worlds with The Gardenia, which is just a 20-minute drive from the city of Denton. While conveniently located, it gives you enough space in the idyllic countryside to make you feel right at home.
The Gardenia Wedding & Event Venue features an outdoor courtyard, reception hall, and chapel that can seat from 50 to 300 guests. The reception hall gives couples 5,300 square feet of floor space, surrounded by 20-foot gallery windows for natural light and scenery. Their outdoor bar area, covered porch and arch rentals provide a comfortable, pet-friendly option for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail receptions. Wedding party suites onsite feature separate lounge areas, private restrooms, private balconies, and large TVs for prenuptial relaxation. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are climate controlled with air-conditioning and heaters to keep you and your guests comfortable in any season. For timeless images, the venue’s serene pond and large front-facing fountain can serve as the ideal backdrop for your photographers to work with. The team’s one-event-per-day policy ensures that you and your guests will have the place to yourselves from the wedding prep to the reception. The staff will handle setup and takedown, and provide crossback chairs, round tables, and farm tables for indoor or outdoor use.

The idea for The Gardenia was born when we were looking for a wedding venue of our own. We wanted a beautiful place close to Dallas/Fort Worth but far enough away to be outside of the city. Located in Valley View, Texas, The Gardenia is just under an hour away from the metroplex and 20 minutes away from Denton. We have 40 beautiful acres of land set aside for you to share your most important day with your loving family and friends. We want to create a magical experience for you.

Love love LOVED the venue! it was well worth the drive out there lol
loved having nothing the Ceremony & reception in the same places while having a traditional feel for the Ceremony with the wedding chapel. Weather permitting, having the cocktail area outside is very nice as well for the transition of guest. The Owners are very attentive leading up to the wedding. They have strict guidelines we appreciated! It is an extraordinarily beautiful venue with amazing windows and a great vibe throughout the venue.
Side note: you do have to read through the requirements like having a security officer & using their bartenders.
unfortunately not a lot of Air bnbs & hotels near by. but we didn’t hear any complaints. we created hotel blocks in the Denton area. Thank you Hunter & team at the Gardenia for a great wedding!

We fell in love with The Gardenia as soon as we saw it. We looked at a few other places but as soon as we saw and met with the owners, we instantly knew we wanted to have our wedding at The Gardenia. It was absolutely beautiful! They made sure everything was beautiful for the day of. They were very responsive to emails and questions that we had. They had answers for everything as well. They were amazing and I am so glad they were the venue we chose.

This venue was the most beautiful backdrop for the most important day of our lives. We loved the freedom to choose almost all of our own vendors, and all of our guests were very complimentary to the venue!

The owners, Hunter and his wife, are incredible. They are very responsive and quick to answer any questions! It was my dream venue - plenty of space, a separate chapel and reception area, lovely bridal and groom suites, and beautiful outdoor area. Regardless of weather, the photos inside or outside would be beautiful! Weather permitting, the swings on the back patio give it a nice touch that guests love too! Everyone was so complimentary of the venue and I truly couldn’t be happier!

Everything about The Gardenia and their staff is 5/5 stars!! They are quick to answer questions and provide support throughout the entire wedding planning process! The views are incredible, the space is accommodating and beautiful, and having your wedding here feels like you’re living in a dream!! Could never recommend The Gardenia enough!! Easiest choice ever!!

Breathtaking venue, exceptional service, fast response time, overall amazing experience! Our guests were blown away by the beauty and spaciousness of this venue, as well as the design and details of the reception space and chapel. My husband and I loved all of this as well, plus the owners and their attention to detail! Once we got inside 60 days of the wedding, I started receiving reminder emails and to-do lists and "fun details to think about" emails, which I loved! The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect and everyone had a great time!

Thank you to The Gardenia for being an absolutely perfect venue for our wedding! We received nothing but compliments the entire evening about how stunning it was!
The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process. They were always available to answer any questions and provide guidance when needed. The rental fee was very reasonable and provided everything we were looking for all in one location. Everything went so smoothly the day of the wedding and we could not have asked for a better experience!

Hunter and Christine were wonderful to work with! They let us tour multiple times and answered every question we had, no matter how small. The venue itself is gorgeous, and we got so many compliments! We really wanted a venue that had two indoor spaces, and they were both beautiful. My husband and his groomsmen loved hanging out in the groom's suite, and the bridal suite was breathtaking. I'd recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!

As a 2023 MOB, I am still on Cloud 9 after our daughter’s wedding at The Gardenia Venue in Valley View, Texas. Working with Hunter was one of the smoothest and easiest parts of planning. Communication is definitely one of his gifts. He was very prompt any time I would have questions and always made me feel like he sincerely was here to help when needed! He and his wife Christine, are a dynamic duo and I love that they seem very authentic and intentional! Their intentions are to make the process seamless and peaceful. Bravo to them!!!
They have built a place that is lovely, but also a place for everyone. It can be used as is because they did the black and white minimalistic so well OR you can turn this space into any vibe of your dreams! The location is convenient for your vendors and your guests!!!
I am excited for The Gardenia to create magic for all of the brides to be and to continue to follow them on Instagram because it brings me back to a day and evening I will never forget!!!

The Gardenia Venue was the perfect venue for our wedding! They were very accomodating by doing a Zoom tour with us, since we lived out of state and were unable to make it in person for a tour. From there they communicated really well and always answered any questions we had for them. On wedding day, the floor plan was set to our exact specifications and the entire venue was ready for our big day. They had staff onsite all day to answer any questions we had that popped up. I highly recommend getting married at The Gardenia! We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our special day.

The Gardenia was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding day. The moment we toured it we fell in love and knew it was the place we had to get married. Hunter and Christine were amazing to work with, answering all of our questions in a timely manner, gave additional vendor references, and had open and clear communication regarding our day. I wish I could relive our wedding day here again and again! Our guests kept mentioning the STUNNING chapel and views. Thank you for making our day perfect and sharing your gorgeous venue with us!

Absolutely stunning venue! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our big day. Every aspect of this venue was everything we were looking for and it was above and beyond everything we hoped for. Christine and Hunter were always quick to respond and worked with us throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend visiting this property so you can see what I’m talking about. 12/10

I cant say enough good things about this venue. It is not only beautiful but has all the space you need. The bride and groom suites are fabulous and vendors have plenty of space as well. You don't need many additional decorations to make the space elegant. The customer service we received from The Gardenia was top notch. I never waited longer than 30 minutes for a reply back to questions or concerns. The only downside was not being able to pick our own bartending services (HD liquid catering is STRICT) but that would have in no way changed my mind about this venue. I will remember my beautiful wedding forever and so will many others!

The Gardenia was the perfect venue for our March wedding! The owners were so helpful and the wedding day couldn’t have been more peaceful. I loved getting ready in the bridal suite and my husband loved hanging out in the grooms suite. The chapel was gorgeous and intimate and the reception space was beautiful and spacious, even with 250 guests. So many beautiful spots for photos and nice space outside for cocktail hour. Highly recommend choosing The Gardenia for your wedding!

We signed for this venue back when it was just foundation and studs but we are so glad we did. It is such a pretty venue. Hunter and his wife are super helpful and timely with any questions you may have. And did I mention the venue was GORGEOUS?! It was perfect for our wedding day.

Absolutely stunning venue!! I knew the moment I saw it that I NEEDED to get married here! It was the most perfect backdrop for our special day! The owners were professional and communicated promptly on every occasion. They were super organized, which really helped to relieve some stress! I am so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to host my wedding here! I would definitely recommend to anyone if your budget allows it!
