The Gardens at Applecross

In June we had the pleasure of being invited to a bridal open house by Christina's Catering at The Gardens at Applecross. Christina's Catering service provided an impressive array of appetizers, desserts and wedding cake. Their table setup was impressive and just how we imagined from our conversations with Tina and the amazing food tasting with Dan the chef. The waitstaff and bartender were professionally dressed and very friendly. This experience made us excited for our wedding day in August and calmed our wedding jitters. Thank you to Dave for taking us on a delightful grounds tour. It is a spectacular wedding venue!!

Our experience with Christina's Catering was nothing short of exceptional for our June wedding. From our very first meeting with Tina & Dan 2 years ago and to the day of our wedding they were incredibly attentive to our needs. They not only promptly addressed all our questions but also went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care for a memorable wedding reception and it was "stress-free". Throughout the planning process, we were pleasantly surprised by how they anticipated things we hadn't even considered. This proactive approach helped alleviate any potential stress, allowing us to fully enjoy our special day. Dan & Tina's thoughtfulness extended to small touches that made a big difference in the smooth running of our wedding. In conclusion, we would highly recommend Christina's Catering for their dedicated support, attention to detail, and overall professionalism. The venue was the perfect combination of elegance and romantic. Christina's Catering truly made our wedding a memorable and delightful occasion.

We had the most perfect wedding day at The Gardens at Applecross!! The venue itself is stunning and the natural beauty of the garden made for a magical ceremony space with minimal flowers needed from the florist. Dave was great and made sure everything went smoothly and ran on time! He has years of knowledge and experience in the wedding industry and was a big help from the rehearsal to the day last dance! Would definitely recommend getting married here!!

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. We fell in love with it from the moment we arrived at the venue. Over the span of 10 months of seeing & booking the venue, David has enhanced the grounds & made it even more beautiful. He has an eye for design! David is PHENOMENAL to work with! He’s been in the business for over 30 years and I knew that I could rely on every piece of advice and recommendations he gave. I am absolutely thrilled that my wedding was here & I wouldn’t have changed a single thing.

We had our wedding at the venue yesterday and it was beautiful. The ceremony was gorgeous and the outside and inside spaces were beautiful and clean. David, the coordinator and Dan, the catering company worked with us to help us accommodate guests with a wide array of dietary needs. They helped to ease our nerves and helped everything run smoothly! They were very flexible and accommodating which we appreciated. It was truly a beautiful time and it went perfectly! Everything was perfect- David and Dan are great, and the venue is lovely. They made our day so wonderful and made us feel welcomed :). I cannot speak highly enough about having the privilege of a stress free day thanks to the Applecross Team!

My daughter and her fiancé had a gorgeous wedding at the Gardens at Applecross on Friday June 7th. They wanted a venue that was elegant and formal yet captured the beauty of nature they loved so much. Although they booked Applecross when it was still under construction, they saw the vision, and it was perfect. I should note that when they booked, there were not all-inclusive packages so we did hire individual vendors which may be different from those now included in the package. Katie and Luke’s vendors were all amazing and each contributed to the success of the wedding in their own special way. We were also fortunate to have beautiful weather so were able to take advantage of the gorgeous outdoor ceremony space with the enormous pergola and perfectly landscaped backdrop. Their guests loved the outdoor/indoor cocktail space with both an outdoor and indoor bar, ample seating and beautiful landscaping. Many guests also retreated to this area later in the evening to take a break from dancing. The firepits and lighting created a lovely ambiance to such a spectacular evening. The indoor ballroom was gorgeous. The ceiling to floor windows captured the natural beauty of the outside and the chandeliers and draping added to the elegance. Our florist added two gorgeous floral chandeliers that complimented all the other ballroom florals all of which created a stunning dinner/reception space! The combination of this beautiful venue, outstanding vendors and an absolutely amazing couple made for a magical wedding!

We took a risk in booking Gardens at Applecross while it was still under construction in 2022, but Dave sold us on his vision for the space and it certainly paid off. We had our wedding in May 2024 and it was an absolute dream come true. All of our guests were raving about how beautiful the venue was, including all of the little details that went into it. The outdoor ceremony space is absolutely breathtaking, and the terrace/outdoor bar area for cocktail hour set the tone for a perfect spring evening. The window-lined ballroom is nothing I had ever seen before and it perfectly matched the lighthearted, romantic, and joyful vibe we were going for. The ballroom was spacious and the deck outside was the perfect touch to balance out the party on the dance floor. Dave is incredibly experienced and offered us valuable insight throughout the entire planning process. He was always just a phone call away when needed, and I am so appreciative of all of the work he put into bringing our dreams to life.

This venue is absolutely beautiful!! Exactly what we were looking for!! Both the inside and outside spaces were perfectly designed for hosting a wedding!! All of the tables and chairs for the ceremony and reception were set up prior to our arrival according to the agreed upon floorplan. However, we did find that David, the venue coordinator, wasn't as helpful as he makes himself out to be. The only reason our wedding day was a success was because of the incredible vendors we hired including our day of coordinator, our catering company, our DJ, and our photographer! He was touring a couple during our first look, which we found to be extremely unprofessional. I have no problem with hosting tours on our wedding day, but not during such a personal and special moment. He was given a timeline of our wedding day and was in agreement. Therefore, there is no excuse for having a tour during our first look. We also selected Budweiser as one of our beers. It was even written into our final contract. However, it was not displayed as an option for guests. My mother had to specifically ask David where the Budweiser was and why it was not available. We found that he easily forgot about little details, which only adds to your stress as the bride and groom. We recommend this venue, but if you do decide to book this venue for your wedding, we would suggest hiring the appropriate vendors to make your big day run smoothly!

I only have great things to say about Applecross! -Dave was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and focused on making the day unique and special for the couple -He has EXTENSIVE experience in the wedding industry, and every single detail of Applecross was well thought out and serves a purpose -The week of the wedding, Dave made us feel at ease and was available for any and every question we had -The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL! The in and outside gave us various locations for beautiful photos -The inside has an incredible light and music system which made the dance floor tons of fun! -There is a large deck on the front of the ballroom which was great for outdoor photos (it rained before our ceremony) -The bridal suite was available for us to get ready in, had a mini fridge, TV, sink, large mirrors and natural light. My husband used the grooms suite which was also perfectly suited. -Dave helped the rehearsal and wedding day to run super smoothly, and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of! Overall, we had an excellent experience w/ Dave and Applecross and I highly recommend them for your wedding!

We just had our Fall Wedding at The Gardens at Applecross! It was Oct 14th and as much as we were looking forward to a Fall, Outdoor Wedding......it poured. And I mean poured. The entire day. It was too bad, but Dave, the Venue Coordinator, was ready to move it inside and we were prepared. We moved that outdoor Fall wedding inside. Dave made sure we had everything we needed that morning. Now for the caterers; not only was the food fabulous, so was the service. One of the things we wanted was the food to be amazing. They hit it out of the park and then some. The appetizers were fantastic. The salad was fresh. The main courses were to die for. We had the teriyaki salmon and the beef tenderloin. My guests were stunned. Each was wonderful and since a couple of people canceled coming to my wedding last minute, my new husband and I got to eat both. It was amazing. We also got the chocolate covered strawberries, the mini cannolis, and assorted cheesecakes. People RAVED about it. I'm still getting rave reviews. Towards the end of the night they served cheesesteak sliders which my out of town guests loved. Now let's talk about the service. AMAZING. Dan, the main chief and owner, crushed it. He was organizing the servers when they got there early. Had a team meeting to make sure they were good to go and was constantly making sure I (the bride) was alright. His wife Tina, the other owner, was amazing as well. They split up and made sure the cocktail section was set up and someone was always making sure my fiance and I had food. I was getting my dress bustled and Dan asked if I wanted something. I admitted I was dying to try the hors d'oeuvres and he brought in an entire plate for myself and everyone in the room. It was awesome. Then Dan made sure we got our salad course and when we were ready for our entrees. He also made sure no one touched our food until he checked with us that we were actually done! No whisking away food! We actually got to eat on our wedding day which most people never get to do. Dan also made sure we got drinks too. Just amazing. They helped us pack up everything including the gifts and put away the top of the wedding cake for us to take home. I will recommend them till the end of time and will totally use them again if I get the chance in the future

The Gardens at Applecross was the perfect place to get married. We had the best time and couldn't be happier with our decision. We will forever look back to that day with fond memories. From our initial meeting to booking the venue, communication was easy and very accommodating. I had my wedding at The Gardens, and I can easily say it was the best decision I made! The venue itself its so unique and beautiful. The outdoor ceremony space was perfect for our Islamic ceremony. The reception space was glowing with light through the gorgeous windows, and I loved that we weren't in a "boxed walled" room as our reception space. David was such a joy to work with, he made the process of booking the venue such a breeze. The day of the wedding, he was personally running around making sure the day was running smoothly. I wouldn't have wanted my wedding to be any other way!

My wife and I had our ceremony and reception at The Gardens on August 13th. We are thankful that we committed to an outdoor ceremony, because the outdoor space is visually stunning. We used no decorations in the outdoor area, allowing the natural flowers and shrubs, the distant trees, and the simple and elegant veranda to do the work. We wouldn’t have done it differently! We almost moved inside for the heat, which is the other incredible value of The Gardens. The indoor space is also stunning. Classic but not stuffy, clean, and spacious. It felt like more windows than walls, and the view is gorgeous. If you need a break from the DJ and the crowd, there is a wrap around porch with fire pits and a great view of the pristine, Nicklaus-designed golf course. So, if the weather doesn't cooperate and an outdoor ceremony isn’t an option, moving inside won’t feel like a sacrifice. Similarly, there is an indoor and outdoor space for cocktail hour, both classy as ever, but we can confirm your Old Fashioned tastes great in either spot. Working with Applecross was smooth. Our coordinator was enthusiastic and attentive to the details, and answered our calls whenever we needed him. Our caterers enjoyed the renovated kitchen space. The photographer was thrilled with her options. The general manager also showed up to assist and check on our day, which left us feeling confident that we were being taken care of. In summary, The Gardens at Applecross is a beautiful venue in the Philadelphia area that has the potential to give you the wedding you’ve always wanted. All your friends had their barn-wedding in Lancaster, why don't you do something a little different and book The Gardens?
