The Gatehouse

My son and daughter -in-law got married at The Gatehouse and it was perfect! The gardens and patio with gazebo are beautiful and the reception area is intimate and elegant. The food and cakes were delicious and the d.j. was able to accommodate some of our unusual requests. Christie is the owner/coordinator and she was always on top of things. My son and his wife could not have asked for a better beginning to their marriage!

We said Yes to “The Gatehouse” and we’d say yes again! 7 days after we got engaged I found this gem 💎. I immediately fell in love with the venue from the pictures and my infectious happiness spread to my future-in-laws leading us to book sight unseen. Christi made sure to work with us on a date and time so myself and my Fiancé could be present to view the venue in-person. Although we were 13-14 months ahead of our anticipated date Christi played the role of “Fairy Godmother” from the “Yes” moment until the “I do’s”and “Farewells”were said. She went above and beyond to make sure we understood the process, knew what to expect and made the entire wedding planning experience such a breeze. Our first meeting we were ushered in and immediately put at ease, waiting for us were planners with everything laid out. She was prepared and ready to make our dream a reality whether we had 50-100 guest. We were given 2 options to choose from The “Classic”package & The “Premium” package. For someone that wanted a beautiful wedding without the stress we choose the premium package that catered to our ever need. Which worked out perfectly when we found out we were expecting 5 months before the event. We didn’t have to go through the stress or hassle, we got to sit back and enjoy the ride and didn’t have to lift a finger except for cake tasting. We would recommend The Gatehouse our event was everything we could have asked for million times over. Christi made sure the event went off without a hitch even with unforeseen circumstances like losing a groomsmen 2 weeks before and having an extra bridesmaids, Christi waved her wand and I didn’t have to worry. The guest are still raving on about the superior food, beautiful ambiance, lively music and the wonderful experience. Our day was one to remember ❤️

Ms. Christi went above and beyond to put together our special day! She is incredibly organized and detailed oriented which was a blessing considering we had almost no free time to plan with work and school--but she took care of everything and was very patient and understanding! Everyone who attended our wedding went on and on about how beautiful everything was, and that is all thanks to Christi and the staff at the Gatehouse!

We could not have had a more perfect venue for our wedding! Christi was PHENOMENAL and was so detail oriented and organized. It took so much stress off of us and our families. All the guests raved over the food and the cake was beautiful. Even the men in the family could not stop talking about how beautiful it was, and that says something! I got to marry the love of my life under twinkling lights and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place for our day.

I dont know where to start. christie was the absolute best.she took care of everything.and her staff was absolutely amazing. her dj was awesome.. even through this pandemic she made all the adjustments we had to go through last minute and made us feel so comfortable and worry free. when we redo our vows in 50 years we will definitely go back.

I was married here last night and couldn't wait to write a review. This venue is WONDERFUL! Everyone raved about the food and how beautiful everything was. Christi is amazing. She gives as much or as little input as you want her to. She made sure our photographer knew when everything was happening and directed everyone where to go, and she made us plates and got us drinks. The DJ was great and played every song requested. And the staff was friendly and attentive. I really can't say enough good things. I've been to plenty of weddings that were disappointing so I am so happy to say that I, my parents, my husband, and all of our guests had a great time and enjoyed every aspect of our wedding and it's all thanks to Christi and her staff at The Gatehouse.

I’ve been a photographer for weddings at The Gatehouse for a few times now and it has become one of my favorites. Christi is so helpful and organized and has such a calming presence. Everything is done in house and it’s a wonderful experience, even as a vendor. The outside ceremony is absolutely stunning and so amazing to photograph! Can’t say enough good things!

I would 100% recommend The Gatehouse! Everything turned out so beautiful, elegant, and fun! The food was great, the cake was great, and the to-go box they pack for the bride and groom was packaged so nicely. Christi made the planning process seamless with minimal stress. She was organized, flexible, and on point. The venue handles so much that you really just have to worry about your attire, guest list, photographer, and florist. I was originally drawn to this venue because of how beautiful it is, but after having my wedding there, it is so much more than that. You get so much for an affordable price. I could not have asked for a better wedding!

When we got engaged we immediately knew we wanted to get married at The Gatehouse. Being my very first phone call to check the availibilty I was elated to hear I could get married in 6 months. My first meeting I was greeted with a planning binder and a list of "to-do's". Throughout the planning process all I had to do was shoot an email or a quick call to go over what we had in mind. Our cooridnator, Christ Edwards is the best I've ever encountered. All of our guests were able to be guests and not have to worry about setting up or taking down a thing. The day of the wedding was seemless! She checked up on me making sure everyone was having a great time, kept the timeline going perfecting all the while my family and friends danced the night away. I would 100% reccomend getting married at The Gatehouse if you're on the fence. Best experience of my life

Very easy to work with. Great all around experience. Took all of the stress off my back and made my wedding night flow smooth and beautiful. The only complaint would be the DJ but other than that it was GREAT!

I absolutely loved our wedding at the Gatehouse. Christi is so calm and a CHAMP at keeping things smooth and organized. Also they have an in house DJ which is a plus. And they organize the cake process for you!! This place was perfect and I am so happy I got to have my big day here.

Would recommend to everyone for weddings!! The food was amazing and they are very accommodating! Christi made everything so easy and made us feel listened to and calmed us after a tough morning! She accommodated with food allergies in the family and helped with my dress and shoes after the ceremony! This place did everything for us and we feel like we couldn't have asked for better! From the moment we booked The Gatehouse I was at ease. First the venue is all inclusive so there was very little outside resourcing we had to do on the planning aspect. (Yes it was a little scary for me to let go of that control at first, but in the end I wouldn't change a thing). First the ease of planning and the relief from stress was wonderful. Second, Christi was absolutely amazing! She has the events down to a science and truly makes each event focused on the bride and groom. Third, (again about Christi, what can I say she is a rockstar) she was always available to us when we had a question or concern, and even had many helpful suggestions when we looked into certain things for our special day. Our wedding was PERFECT. The food was outstanding, the venue beautiful, and the entire staff went above and beyond. I could go on and on about how wonderful The Gatehouse was, and I will say this, if you don't book with this venue, you are doing yourself an injustice. Even my now husband is still raving about how perfect our wedding was and how impressed he was with everything.

I chose to have my Mom's 90th Birthday celebration in Baton Rouge, at The Gatehouse, August 11,2018. My priorities were a beautiful, luxurious Southern venue, great food/wines, indoors (August is hot!), creative & meticulous planner, music/dancing, guest capacity 80-100. All of my expectations were exceeded by Christi and her team at The Gatehouse. From the first phone call to her walking my family out to the car at the end of the party, Christi's many years of experience were fully realized. After meeting with her at the venue, all details of the party were planned via email/phone calls. All details were carried out with excellence & joy. Courteous and prompt attention to every minute detail took all stress from me for this most important life event for my Mom. Christi treats her clients as her own family. She provides all vendors, services for a seamless event custom made for full enjoyment by all. The Gatehouse is truly an all inclusive venue, no surprise add ons, no surprises, period. Communication for a large event is primary. Christi leaves nothing assumed, nor unconfirmed. In my experience, she confirmed confirmations ! She answers her phone on the first ring or replies to messages/emails within an hour or 2. The Gatehouse ballroom and grounds provide the perfect setting for any occasion. Parking is more than ample for your event, easily accesses the ballroom. We had many elderly guests who were able to get around easily. The covered drop off area made impending rains no threat at all for arriving guests. A lavishly appointed "brides room" provides quiet for anyone needing it, including nursing moms who were at the party. Any special needs are attended to for your guests(including strained relationships within the guest party) The ballroom & well designed grounds are the ultimate in Southern charm and beauty. Christi and her team reflect the same throughout the event. The grounds are lavishly designed for year round use. Our numbers exceeded what we expected. Christi assured me it would be ok. She threw open the French doors and invited guests to enjoy the tables, gardens, gazebo, fountains outside. Not much is needed for this spacious beautiful venue, as a perfect picture moment is at every turn. However, Christi shines in suggesting from her varied array of fine linens, candelabra, florals, votives, anything for tablescapes, music, etc. If you desire a "WOW !" detail, she has it for you. She will creatively design for your look. Flowers: Christi quickly referred me to Billy Heromans about 5 minutes away for the most excellent flower creations. On the day of the party, Christi received the order and perfectly placed all flowers as we'd discussed. Christi quickly gets to know her clients, then works to create the custom celebration that perfectly reflects the guest(s) of honor. Food/wines/beverages: I watched as our 100+ guests returned to the delicious huge food buffet, not once, but twice in many cases.. The bar was very busy pouring some of the most lovely wines. It all reminded me of Thanksgiving with my big family! Eat, drink, and be very merry. The packages offered are most helpful in planning this part. Traffic flow is well thought out in this venue. There is no feeling of crowding at all. All the while Christi & her team are moving about, making sure guests have what they need/want. I've hosted many large parties, 2 large weddings for our daughters. I'm a control freak! But at The Gatehouse, I totally let go, gave it all to Christi, relaxed and enjoyed everything. The Gatehouse truly has it all. Christi made Mom's party so special. Because of Mom's limited mobility, Chisti set her up in an antique setee where she could see all her guest, and they could see her. She could sit as guests came throughout the party to sit & visit with her. Mom's party fun continues today as family &friends continue to call her to talk once again about all the details and beautiful things that The Gatehouse did for her celebration. It was a most memorable 90th birthday. Mom was honored well. I'd return here for any type of gathering in the future, because of the excellence in client service, professional planning, lavish setting, outstanding food/beverages, stress free, perfect fun ! We attended my best friend's wedding & reception recently at the Gatehouse. The indoor and outdoor accommodations are stunning, and I know the staff made planning so easy for my friend because they are all-inclusive as a wedding venue. The food and decor were perfect. I'm not local to Baton Rouge, but many guests were amazed that they had never been to this venue. A hidden gem!

We had an amazing event and everything was seemless. We only had six months to plan as we were concerned my fiancé may get military orders before year end, he did, and Christi made everything so easy to plan. We decided to do the premium package with a few add ons, s’mores bar and speciality drinks and it was worth every penny. We also brought in a caricature artist and she was flexible with coordinating everything with him. The food was amazing, the venue was gorgeous and our guest raved about how perfect everything was, especially for a group our size, 60. If we had to do it all over again we wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you!

Our wedding experience at the Gatehouse was nothing short of amazing. The venue is beautiful and intimate. We had 75 guest and everyone raved about the excellent food and attentiveness of the staff. Christi was awesome and ensured our wedding day was perfect and easily flexed when the bridal party arrived late. We paid for the premium bridal package and feel we got more than our moneys worth.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. Christie and her staff are first class. Christie (owner/event coordinator) is incredibly attentive and knows what you need, before you do. She took care of my groom when he developed a headache, had a back up shirt for my DJ, and came up with second line umbrellas because we'd forgotten ours. The food, decor, and overall ambiance were elegant and quaint. The Gatehouse is hands down, the best venue in town!

I cannot thank Christi and the Gatehouse staff enough for how beautifully the handles my reception. I didn't have to worry about anything. We all just showed up and had a wonderful time. The venue was/is beautiful and the food was perfect. I got so many compliments about how professional and personal everything was. We were married on November 11th, 2017 and about 2 months we had a cold snap come through into the 40's (I am not a fan of cold weather). I ask her to promise that on my wedding day the temperature would be in the mid-70's. She joked and said she would try and she did. The weather that day was 74 degrees. What more can I say she is awesome. The staff even came out and danced with us and the guest. They made our wedding day just perfect. Please if you are looking for a beautiful place to have your wedding, with a wonderful caring staff, will listen to even the minor details try the gatehouse. The Gatehouse was everything we could of wanted and more. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Christi was so helpful the entire time. She really made wedding planning a breeze. She is very organized and makes sure everything is planned and ready to go. We had our reception there and I really thought that Christi was just going to introduce us and make sure that we stayed on schedule. Well we were wrong she exceeded our expectations. She ran around the entire time making sure we were on schedule, had everything that we could possibly want and that everything went perfectly. When we left she put a basket of our food (because we had to much fun and no time to eat) and a bottle of champagne! I can’t express how great our experience. If you want a stress free wedding go here!

The Gatehouse does it all! The premium package is worth every penny! This venue was highly affordable and included so much. Christi was great to work with and coordinated the wedding day perfectly. The food was amazing, and having to-go food the next day was a life saver! The ceremony and reception went so smoothly. I highly recommend this venue. Not having to worry about cake vendors and decorating as well as catering was a huge stress reducer! Again, great experience, great price, and great coordinator!

Christi was awesome from the beginning. She answered every question promptly and didn't miss a beat on our day. My wife and I didn't have to worry about a thing! The venue is beautiful, especially at night with the lights. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. As a bonus, we were sent home with a ton of food (which we devoured that night) and champagne! Overall, a wonderful experience.

I loved the gatehouse as my venue for my wedding! Everything was beautiful and perfect! It was also very helpful that they partner with Gambinos and did their own catering so I did not have to go out on more errands trying to find the right stuff. I love all my pictures of the scenery in the background and I will suggest this venue to everyone I meet!

This was the best wedding venue EVER! Our guests raved about the food, the decor was beautiful, and Christi Edwards (owner) made the planning seamless and simple. This venue can accommodate about 150 guests, using the indoor and outdoor space year-round. We had over 100 guests, and everyone was very comfortable. This was the most beautiful, fairy-tale wedding that I could have ever imagined. All of the accommodations and services were top-notch, and at a very reasonable cost. The Premium Package was more than worth it!

The Gatehouse is such an elegant place to have a wedding or other event. The inside and outside area are both fun and beautiful. The gazebo, pond, and gardens were lovely for an outside party. We had a great time. What made our day so easy going was Christi; she was so helpful! Everything I needed, she was able to get or help me with. She made the day perfect with her attention to detail. She is absolutely wonderful! If you want a wedding place with amazing food, The Gatehouse is the one for you. Our family and friends could not stop talking about what was served! The hors d'oeuvres were delicious and all had a touch of Louisiana. We still have people telling us that it was the best wedding food they have had. The music was lively and the service was amazing. Christi and her mother were absolutely wonderful and a great help. They were very accommodating and helpful and they handled all of the details! On the day of the wedding, my husband and I got married at our church and then came to the Gatehouse for our reception and everything was ready and organized and it looked absolutely beautiful! Christi and her staff helped the event move along at a good pace and I didn't have to stress about one thing. I would highly recommend this venue! The Gatehouse is beautiful and their packages are a low price and my reception was everything that I could have wanted.

The Gatehouse was perfect. Christy was a big help with everything. She made my whole planning process stress free and she was always there to answer all my questions and concerns. Would most diferently recommend the Gtaehouse to any occasion. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. The food was really good as well, I got a lot of complaints on how good the food was. And the to-go box they packed was in a cute tote that I got to kept. Everything was perfect and what I had dreamed about.

This is a fantastic location. We had about 100 guests, and we had no issues fitting everyone in. There's also a spacious outside area, where guests can mingle and the music isn't so loud, so it's really twice the space. It also looks beautiful at night. The package we got included the fee for the wedding cake and the DJ service, so in the end, it was also the best value we found of the other venues in the Baton Rouge area.

I'm pretty much a control freak, but Christi made me feel so comfortable and I trusted her to see that my vision came through. Everyone complimented how beautiful the venue and the great organization. The venue is incredibly affordable for a moderate income family. It's the perfect size for the smaller weddings. I had 75 people and it wasn't crowded nor did it look too large for them. The food was great--she even took the extra time to have the leftovers packed and labeled for us! My husband and I got married on February 28, 2015. The place was amazing, the food was delicious, and the staff is great. The Gatehouse includes the cake and the DJ in the price. I couldn't have pictured a better more perfect night. Thank you Gatehouse.

Christi was absolutely wonderful! The package we paid for was all inclusive so we had to do very little on our part. Christi made our night so wonderful and enjoyable! Worth every penny we spent. She did everything we asked and made sure we got to do everything we wanted on our night. Both my new hubby and I are incredibly happy to have worked with the Gatehouse for our special night.

We had a magical wedding here. And what I loved is that Christie took care of the cake, the DAj , napkins food and decor all in her low price!

The Gatehouse did a phenomenal job for our wedding. We were so pleased with how everything turned out, and many of our guests commented about how impressed they were. The gold bamboo chairs and real china were a nice touch. Also, there was champagne and chocolate strawberries waiting in the bride's room when we arrived!

My husband and I had a church ceremony with our reception at The Gatehouse. First and foremost, I must say that Christi is absolutely phenomenal. From the very first meeting till the minute we left the reception, she was available for anything and everything. I felt able to relax and enjoy my family and friends at the reception knowing that Christi and her excellent staff would take care of everything. My husband and I never had to ask for a thing or worry what was next. Christi even helped me with my minor wardrobe malfunction. The food was delicious. The servers were friendly and circulated frequently. The bartender was very friendly and fast. The music could have been better, but to be fair, I was not as specific about my music preferences as I apparently should have been. The Gatehouse is a one stop reception/wedding shop that is more than worth the price. I highly recommend that you at least call Christi and take a tour. I could not have been happier with the service we received from this venue.

My husband and I are from Mississippi but decided to have a wedding in Louisiana. Thanks to the Knot, we found The Gatehouse. Our desire was to have a destination wedding with an outside ceremony and indoor reception. The Gatehouse was the perfect venue for us. Instantly, we fell in love with the photos of the outdoor ceremony area and the indoor reception area. There was some hesitation because we were planning a destination wedding. Christi Edwards, owner and wedding coordinator, was absolutely amazing!!! After the first conversation with her, I knew we made the right decision. She is an amazing person. Her humble personality and patience helped to reduce my stress level. Once you book with The Gatehouse, you have access to another portion of the website which offered many suggestions and options for the wedding and reception. Even though there was a distance between us, Christi did an awesome job of communicating with me through phone calls and emails. I can honestly say that the day of the wedding went smoothly. We were able to enjoy our special day without worrying about the planning and setup. The ceremony was outside during the early evening and was BEAUTIFUL!! The food was AMAZING and definitely exceeded our expectations. Our guests are still raving about how great the venue was and how much they enjoyed the food. Througout the day, Christi checked with us to see if there was anything we needed. After the reception, she ensured that we had all our gifts and belongings in the designated vehicle. We had our wedding ceremony & reception at The Gatehouse, and we are so happy that we did! I wanted our wedding day to be stress free, beautiful, and fun. The Gatehouse made this possible for us! Christi and her crew took care of organizing our rehearsal, setting up & taking down of the decor, the flow of the wedding, the food & cake, and I'm sure so much more that I don't even realize. I was a busy bride on a budget with expensive taste. The Gatehouse met all of these qualities for me. The venue & food were exceptional. The ambience was intimate & classy. This wedding site is definitely worth checking out!

This was an excellent place to host my wedding. They handled almost everything for me and really helped make the whole day and event go much smoother. The Gatehouse will handle all the food catering including the wedding cake and groom's cake. They do all the decorations that you want. They have several options to choose from and you can bring in anything extra that you want. They provide their own DJ, but also allow you bring in your own band if you choose. They work with your photographer, minister, wedding party, and family to help keep the stress off the bride on her wedding day. Christi did a fantastic job working with me with all the decision-making. They have a beautiful gazebo outside for the ceremony and great landscaping that make the pictures come out beautiful. They have a very nice indoor reception hall. I would recommend this place to any one who asked me where I got married. They helped make the day very special without all the stress of the all the wedding planning and worrying if everything was done. They handle all that for you. All the bride has to do the day of the wedding is show-up.

Our wedding at The Gatehouse was absolutely amazing. Our night was everything we had hoped for and more. Christi was amazing! She was quick to answer emails and return phone calls throughout the planning process. She and the entire staff made sure our wedding was perfect. They truly go above and beyond to make srue any requests are met. We received many compliments from guests on how delicious the food was. We enjoyed our box of goodies they prepared for us, allowing us to sample all the food from the reception. I highly recommend The Gatehouse to any bride and groom!

The gatehouse has been great I will get married there at the end of June. I love that they are all inclusive and Christie has been so helpful in all of the planning I wouldn't choose anywhere else to get married :-)

All we wanted for our wedding was to have a great time and be able to enjoy ourselves. The staff at The Gatehouse were thorough and focused on the details to make our wedding run as smoothly as possible and allowed us to have our wish. We elected the classic dinner menu, and everyone ranted about the food! The potential threat of hail and rain did not deter us from having the best experience possible. We were provided with a backup plan and things worked out to not needing to use the covered areas! The all inclusive packages allowed me to have such a stress free planning process. The basic package included cake, dj, food, centerpieces...with several ptions to upgrade to create an environment that was so romantic and unforgettable! I definitely recommend The Gatehouse to any bride who wants an intimate, romantic, stress-free, and enjoyable experience.

The wedding coordinators at The Gatehouse made my wedding more than I ever could have imagined. When my cake topper broke and damaged the cake, they fixed it and came up with an alternate cake topper without bothering me with the details. They made sure that I was taken care of throughout the day by making me a plate of food and offering me beverages. All of my guests have said this was the best wedding they've been to and said the food was excellent! There attention to detail didn't stop at the end of the wedding. The bride and groom food boxes were labeled, decorated, and included forks and napkins. I can't thank them enough for all they did and if I could do it all over again, I would use The Gatehouse, hands down.

We held our wedding reception at The Gatehouse, everything went PERFECT! My husband and I LOVED everything about this place. The whole reason I kept my sanity throughout my wedding planning was because of Laura, the event coordinator. She took care of EVERYTHING for us and made sure it was exactly what we wanted. The reception was more beautiful that I could have ever imagined. The Gatehouse made wedding planning so easy and convenient! Our guests raved over the delicious food and had a great time- they wouldn't leave the dance floor! For days and days after our wedding and reception, our guests wouldn't stop commenting on how beautiful, delicious, and FUN everything was! I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who thinks that wedding planning is difficult and overwhelming, The Gatehouse will get you through the process and help you enjoy one of the best days of your life!

Everything turned out wonderful. They provided the food, food service, drinks and bartender, table decorations, cake and cake stand, DJ, napkins, and to top it off a coordinator for the entire ceremony and reception. It took a load off of my mind and shoulders, as I'd never been involved in a wedding before, little less my own! I didn't have to worry about ushering around my own wedding!They walked me through everything that a typical wedding requires to go smoothly during the planning stage, and rehearsed with my bridal party before the ceremony. The location was beautiful, with plenty blooming trees and flowers, as well as lots of parking. Despite how close it seems to be to the interstate on a map, it feels like it's nowhere near anything else when you're actually there. The food was fantastic, and well supplied. I ended up spending a little more that I originally anticipated, but I couldn't resist their selection of table linens for the reception. The only downfall I had was the construction going on for the road leading to it, but that should be finished soon from the looks of it. I highly recommend The Gatehouse.

The Gatehouse was an amazing venue for my March 17th wedding. The garden was blooming and the gazebo setting was gorgeous for the ceremony. This venue is intended for smaller weddings. We had about 140 which was a comfortable size, but I think it would start too feel crowded much over 150. The wedding coordinators kept everything moving flawlessly, and the bridal party and family all complemented how smoothly everything flowed. The food was amazing, and I was really impressed with the quantity, selection, and variety of items that they included for the price. Many of the guests said it was the best catering they had ever had. This venue is a really good value because they include their in-house DJ and the bride's cake in the package - plus lots of other great extras. Also the outdoor area is covered with a glass atrium - so no tent rentals for backup rain planning required! I highly recommend this venue!!

If u are looking fore hassle-free, but amazing go to the Gatehouse. Christy and Laura made my day so stress-free and gorgeous!! All of my guests loooooved the food and cake!! We are so pleased with how everything turned out!

My do went so well that I experience so much peace, I wondered if I was dreaming. The staff was so helpful and nice. My great mom was so thankful that her only job that day was to look great. The food was over the top, I still have people calling and telling me that was the greatest wedding food there ever had in there life. Felt like you were eating at a fine dinning, something hard to do for a large crowd. I would highly recommend this place to a queen. The Gatehouse offers an elegant atmosphere at a reasonable price. Laura and Christi were great to work with and they make sure your day is spectacular! The food was great. My guests are still talking about the vast selection and good taste!

I couldn't have pictured a more perfect way to celebrate our big day. Laura (the wedding planner) went above and beyond to help us each step along the way. She was the reason why my mom-in-law and I picked this venue. The prices were great, everyone LOVED the food, the place was beautiful, and did I mention how great Laura is? The day of my wedding rehearsal, there was a bit of an issue of who would walk me down the aisle. My father wasn't in the picture so it was a toss up between my brother and my father in law. At the last minute, I couldn't chose.... and Laura came up with the genius idea of my husband meeting me half way. It made the walk so memorable, and the day even more perfect. The venue itself is a beautiful backdrop for pictures. It is the perfect place for all of the brides that want outside weddings, but don't want to worry about rain, etc. on the big day. I really can't send enough praise their way! I will definitely recommend The Gatehouse to all of my friends!

Just because this place does everything for you, from providing the DJ and wedding cake to coordinating the day-of timeline, doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your personal requests. Every detail I desired was worked in quite elegantly and all those things I couldn't care less to think about were arranged without a fuss. When priced against several other formidable venues in Baton Rouge, the variety of foods served makes The Gatehouse stand out from all the rest. The site comfortably holds 125 guests both inside and outside and wait staff attended to both areas fantastically. I cannot even begin to describe the well manicured grounds or the picture perfect bridge over a quaint creek just begging to have pictures taken on it! And though I decided to be married during June in Louisiana the ice blowers kept my guests comfortable during the wedding. I highly recommend this facility, the staff were always prompt in answering any of my million questions by phone or email and they bent over backwards to make sure my wedding would be talked about by family and friends for years to come.

I planned my out of town wedding at The Gatehouse and everything was perfectly executed thanks to Laura! She made sure things went smoothly and exactly how we wanted them. I would easily recommend The Gatehouse to any bride!

The Gatehouse is in a good location and at a great price. It is also beautiful and packages allow details to make your day or night even more exquisite. We upgraded to "touch of twilight" which candle lit our entire ceremony which was absolutely breath taking outdoors around the aisle and the gazebo. The service was absolutely superb. The owners really know how to run the show. They were always available for any and every question we had and missed absolutely no detail to make our wedding even more amazing and memorable than we ever dreamed it could be! I would sincerely refer anyone to them.

The Gatehouse makes it so easy to plan your wedding! A lot is included in the price (catering, DJ, wedding cake, etc.) and they help you plan and order any extras you want (centerpieces, photographers, etc.) They gave me a dream wedding at an affordable price and took all the stress off me by taking care of everything for me! I hope to have a future wedding anniversary party here. Oh, and the food is amazing! All my guests raved about the food and my mom said it was the best wedding cake she'd ever tasted!

Choosing the Gatehouse for my wedding was a great decision. Having the ceremony at the gazebo at night was absolutely beautiful. Laura and Christi went above and beyond to make sure it was everything I wanted.

My rating is due to the music being too loud. My wedding coordinator being awesome (Laura) Some songs were skipped or not played completely.

My husband and I got married over the Thanksgiving weekend and I must say we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place for our wedding. The outdoor space for the ceremony made me feel like a princess and the reception was to die for. We didn't bring any flowers or other decorations for the tables, didn't really need to. The space was already decorated but with nothing that would clash with us or would draw the eye from the important events (like the groom dropping his bride during the first dance). The food was wonderful and we used the basic menu. There were no complaints from any of our guests. Wasn't any drama and I absolutely loved having my wedding here. They cover food, dj, and cake. There were only a few instances that we had to send someone to hunt down the coordinator but she wasn't ever far from us.

I loved the Gatehouse! I've gotten so many complements on the location of the wedding and reception and I couldn't agree more. The hall is gorgeous, the food was great, the wedding coordinator, Laura, was awesome. I'm very very pleased with the service I got there and would recommend them without hesitations.

I think the Gatehouse is great for smaller weddings. My wedding had about 150 guests, and it seemed like everyone had a great time. I received lots of compliments on the food and how beautiful the place looked. It was an early March wedding, so flowers were just beginning to bloom on the property. I thought it was a very reasonable price and was thrilled with how much they took care of (DJ, catering, whatever other misc I needed help with). They stayed on top of everything for me, so I didn't have to worry about things being done.

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at The Gatehouse in Baton Rouge. I must say that EVERYTHING was truly fabulous at the wedding. One of the features that convinced me to book this venue is that is has a lot of the most important amminities included in the booking fee so there are NO hidden charges! The gatehouse provides some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted, a fantastic wedding cake (I got to choose the design and all flavors), and the DJ services were included! All of these things help me tremedmously withthe planning, but the single most helpful, wonderful aspect of the Gatehouse was my coordinator Laura! She helped me SOOO much with my planning and giving me timelines, etc etc etc! She helped me to design the invitations from the sample books that she has in her office, designed unique centerpieces for David and I, helped us choose favors, and designed very classy labels for our centerpieces and favors. Booking at The Gatehouse was very easy and on our limited budget I was very afraid that I would not be able to have all of the things that I dreamed about, but they helped make all those dreams come true on my wedding day! I really couldn't have asked for more! So many family members and friends have told us how beautiful everything was on our wedding day and I know that The Gatehouse and Laura had a lot to do with it!! Take my advise and attend one of their open houses, or give tham a call to look at their packages, I promise you will not be disappointed!!

I had my ceremony and reception here. The ceremony took place behind the ballroom at the gazebo in the garden. It was stunning! The gazebo area is covered for your guests, and off to the left of the gazebo is a lush garden with a small pond and waterfall. It's just breathtaking. You can hear the soft sound of the water during the ceremony so it makes it feel so tranquil and secluded even though you are in the city of Baton Rouge. The staff was so wonderful. My coordinator noticed some guests took my and my husbands reserved seats for the reception so she set up a small sweetheart table and brought us every type of food. I was so thankful because I was so hungry! The food was AMAZING! I still get compliments on the food. Everyone said it was by far the best wedding food they've ever had. I wish I could go there for dinner! :) I also get compliments, over a year since my wedding, about how gorgeous the facility was. My budget wasn't that extensive so our families weren't expecting much. They were shocked! I love looking at my pictures. My only gripe is the reception package is only for 3 hours. In my opinion, it was too short. I was having so much fun and I felt like I was being rushed. I wanted to talk to my guests and still enjoy the reception dancing. I'm sure I would have said the same thing if I had a 6 hour reception package. So overall, The Gatehouse is wonderful. It's a small reception venue, perfect for less than 100 guests. You really need to see it in person to fully appreciate all it has to offer.
