The Gathering Place of Lyons is a wedding venue located in Lyons, GA. The team knows how to create the perfect atmosphere for that special event in your life. Since opening in 2018, we’ve hosted countless celebrations in our unique and elegant South Georgia venue.
Our property has several spaces to accommodate different occasions and budgets.
- 2400 sq/f reception hall with temperature control. (12 round, 5 rectangular tables plus 96 chairs included in rental)
-A full-size kitchen
-A bridal suite with 6 hair and makeup stations, an en-suite, and a private dressing area.
-Men/Women's washrooms
- Large front and back porch areas to accommodate up to 4 tables on each side.
- Large outdoor space with a paved area for dancing, a gazebo, and 8 outdoor tables with chairs.
- Chapel faces a scenic waterfront lake-covered area that includes 120 white chairs.

l of your needs. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this venue. The chapel overlooking the pond was perfect for our afternoon ceremony and kept us from the elements (sun or rain). The reception hall was the perfect size to have the majority of our people inside with a couple of tables on the porches for those that preferred the fresh air while eating. The courtyard became center stage for our dance party which was accentuated by the fountain and yard lights. We had plenty of room for parking for our guests and even pulled our camper out for a hangout for the guys prior to the ceremony. There was plenty of room for yard games, cornhole, jenga and connect four. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of town to be intimate but not too far so that our guests could travel easily. I cannot put into words how perfect this venue is.

ow to leave the venue and clean up so we would be able to receive our deposit back! She had a clear book so that we wouldn't miss a single detail!
The scenery and outdoor chapel were stunning even without additional decorations! We would do it all over again if we could!

I cannot say enough about the grounds… there are three different sections you can have you guests…. The chapel over looks the water (beautiful at sunset). The reception hall is very big with a kitchen and beautiful bathrooms!!! Very rustic looking (which I love).. and plus there is a front area with a gazebo and black iron furniture out front with plenty of room for TONS of guests!!!! And there are beautiful lights stung up throughout the entire grounds with gorgeous flowers and ferns everywhere!!!
Mrs Tyann was amazing herself.. answering all our questions and being there for all of our needs. She checked in on us on the day of the wedding a few times and cleaned up all of the chairs from the chapel for us before we left..
This place won my heart the second we viewed it….
I will recommend this place to anyone getting married here in Ga…. Is absolutely perfect!!

Got married on 11/25/23 everything was great. Venue was amazing!! They have tables, chairs and even provide plants to help decorate. They have two beautiful ponds that look amazing...
in the back of photos. Plenty of parking places and the owners are very nice. Really couldn’t have picked a better place to get married to my best friend.
