We used The Gathering Place and their recommended caterer for my Dad's "Celebration of Life" (not wedding). The room/building was very charming. Mary J-J couldn't have been more helpful. Everything was lovely and the food was delicious. Virtually everyone commented on the great food. Service was top notch. I thought it was very reasonably priced too. Can't say one bad thing about the whole experience.

I don't have one complaint about the Gathering Place. I can't remember how exactly I found them but I knew when I saw it, that it was the place. My husband and I are not hotel ballroom, huge banquet hall people. We wanted to keep our wedding on the smaller side and offer an intimate and comfortable place for our guests to gather. The Gathering Place is homey and comfortable and has room for everything. We had our wedding outside under the oak trees. They also have a garden area. The first level is used for dining and has a kitchen for the outside caterer. The lower level is used for the reception and has plenty of room for dancing, tables and the bar. There are extra rooms for getting ready on site. Everyone commented on how great the venue was. Sue, the event coordinator at the Gathering Place, was so wonderful. She was always willing to meet with us when we wanted to come back and look at things. She always answered my emailed questions quickly. She took care of directing vendors the day of. She was there for us the whole day and made sure that everything was running smoothly. We got a lot for our money just having her there for us every step of the way.
