h. Although we just got married last weekend and won't have our pictures for a few weeks, Maria gave me some glimpses at her shots and they were amazing. I also have no doubt in my mind that the pictures will be remarkable based off of our engagement/ maternity session and our newborn's shoot we did with her earlier in the year. Our home is already covered in pictures she's captured of our family and I can't wait to add in our wedding pictures. Maria is so easy going and a calming presence. I was visibly stressed the morning of my wedding by several things and she did a great job of helping me have a moment where I could sit down and relax. Her and her husband work so well together and they know what they are doing! It was so easy to be relaxed with my husband on our wedding day while they snapped away and I know the images will show genuine and authentic moments between us because of the environment they create. I can't imagine having worked with anyone else on our big day, we so enjoyed all of the conversations we had with them and we know they are going to deliver on amazing photos that we will cherish forever. They are the best and we highly recommend them to all couples searching for the wedding photographer!!!

So to have people who are not only phenomenally wonderful at what they do, but also incredibly fun, positive and excited, hilarious, at what they do is just as important. I can easily say that Brian and Maria were a big part as to why my husband and I, family, and guests had such a wonderful wedding day. We’ve already seen a few teaser photos before we see the final photos, and we are ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE. I almost cried. They just perfectly captured our feelings and emotions perfectly with their photography. They made getting our big family photos very organized. They have fool proof beautiful poses that they asked us to do, mixed with some hilarious and very heartwarming candid photos. What drew us initially to them was the breathtaking sunset photos from their portfolio, and while we have yet to see them, we are SO excited to see them. If you have any reservations at all, don’t. Like AT ALL. We want Brian and Maria to do our maternity photos and family photos in the future. That’s how wonderful they are. We love you guys!!!

Mansion, we know there was no one else we'd rather work with. I told Brian we wanted to face the fountain at Z instead of the gazebo, he said with our date and when the sun would set, the gazebo would be better for lighting. When I told Brian I didn't want to do first look, he said doing first look helps get rid of some of the pre-ceremony nerves and walking down the aisle is still a special experience, despite seeing each other before. From that moment, I knew they had my best interests at heart and wanted to give me the best pictures of my wedding. I trusted them fully, and I was not disappointed. We didn't end up getting married at Z Mansion, but I have zero regrets doing first look and their creative and artistic vision captured the most beautiful moments of our day. We are obsessed with our pictures and absolutely loved working with Brian and Maria. To say they are amazing would be an understatement. I absolutely recommend them to anyone getting married. Your pictures are a big part of how you will remember your wedding forever, and they capture the best ones.

We are both normally very uncomfortable and awkward when pictures are being taken, but they make it so easy to relax. They're hilarious too, which it turns out is pretty important if you want to be smiling in some of your pictures. They're VERY good at the technical stuff too - our ceremony was in full sun, and our reception was outdoors at night in very low light, and all of our pictures came out amazing. We also really enjoyed the collaborative album-design process after the wedding. We're super excited to get our wedding album! Thank you Maria and Brian!!

The engagement photos were incredible and our wedding photos, of course, were even more perfect! They kept the entire process fun and easy which means a lot on that crazy day! h Brian and Maria, I just knew we were going to be friends (Maria ALSO loves Hamilton, Gilmore Girls, and Harry Potter!!! I MEAN HOW CAN SOMEBODY BE SO COOL?! And Brian is one of the sweetest people EVER and these people are HILARIOUS. It was just non-stop giggles with them!) Not only are they fun, nice, and sweet- they are the most talented photographers I have met. They have an insane amount of experience and know how to photograph a majority of Tucson BEAUTIFULLY - their sunset photos are LIFE. They photographed my husband and I so well - I have always been so excited/nervous about what my wedding photos would turn out like (my husband is a little shy and is not a fan of having his picture taken), but as soon as we did our engagement session I knew I had ZERO to worry about, they kept us both comfortable and not awkward (I am REAL good about being awkward in photos) and they helped make it FUN to have our pictures taken! A lot of people that have seen our wedding photos say I am photogenic - and I say, oh no, The Gawnes are just SO AMAZING and took the best photos and documented our day so beautifully - our wedding photos turned out better than I ever could have dreamed. The photos are so perfect and I cannot stop smiling every time I look at them. In the package that we got - there is an album that is from this castle in Italy that is essentially an Italian Hogwarts and the albums created there are the most beautiful things - Maria designs them and they are seriously AMAZING. I am forever grateful that The Gawnes were our photographers - they helped the day be amazing and I honestly felt like they weren’t there as photographers, but as friends who also happened to be amazing at photography! I have also told them they are my photographers for life now - that is how much I love them. If you want to add to the experience of your wedding day in addition to having beautiful, fantastic pictures that will make people’s jaws drop - I HIGHLY suggest you meet with The Gawnes and hire them ASAP STAT!!

We've compared our wedding photos to others (I know shame on me but I couldn't help it) and my husband and I agree we would 100% recommend the Gawnes to everyone and are so glad we chose to work with them. ... A few weeks fore the wedding they sat down with us and created a schedule of how the day would go, regarding photos, how long they would be there for, and how to keep the before wedding photos timely and organized. On the day of, they showed up early, acted professional and patient when a few family members showed up late, and took advantage of any spare time to catch more beautiful shots. They pay attention to detail, and have an amazing talent to create the most romantic and beautiful photos. It seemed like they had high quality technology, and worked well as a team together. They also provided a live gallery of over 800 photos of our wedding day and we even went with the smallest package! You can tell this is what they are passionate about, and that they can recognize the important special moments. I would 1000% recommend the Gawnes over and over. We are SO happy with our wedding photos and will treasure them forever!

r wedding! I was involved in all of the pre-wedding meetings and felt instantly that Brian and Maria were a good fit. They are relaxed, funny, detail-oriented, genuine, and talented. As we sat in their little studio space that first time and perused their work, a very favorable first impression was formed that was solidified at each successive meeting. Interacting with them on the "big day" was a dream come true! It was a stimulating, emotional, overdrive kind of day and I was able to let Maria and Brian do their job without worrying that the right photos would be taken. Even though it was a warm September day with lively, distractible family members, the Gawnes kept things moving as they choreographed the photography session and gathered various groups of people. Their candid shots were awesome; they captured both tender and celebratory moments! After the wedding, I had a bit of post-wedding blues and could not recall if our immediate family had been photographed with the brides....I literally cried when I saw all the intimate, warm, and sometimes silly photos that the Gawnes had taken of the various family groups, including several of our little group! One last thing: the Gawnes have a way of making you feel that you are the most important, interesting and good-looking wedding group ever, which is a great feeling! Love the Gawnes!!

It was great getting messages from them as it got closer to the big day. That told me they were thinking about us and completely on top of it. On the big day, they took care of us! Maria and Brian split up at first and covered the pre-wedding pictures of the bridal parties separately. That knocked out a lot of photos in half the time. Then they were so fun to work with, and got everyone to relax in their pictures. Throughout the night, they were the perfect combination of "keeping us on track" and "hiding in the shadows to capture all of the moments." In our final meeting to discuss purchasing our pictures, Maria was like an old friend that we were just chatting with, and made picking out pictures for our book such a blast! Not sure what to anticipate, Daniel and I were highly impressed at the lighting design Brian and Maria were able to assemble on-site, day-of. They made sure not only to capture those irreplaceable moments, but make them also look stunning despite a tricky setup. Because of their dedicated engineering, Daniel and I were able to have our ceremony at the time and in the spot we wanted. This alone was spectacular service. On the day of the wedding, the Gawnes were respectfully punctual and kind in their insistence to keep us on schedule. At a time when family tensions were flaring and friend drama was spilling over, the Gawnes were a cool force to keep things on track. They were professional and efficient, but humorous and friendly. I know they made our pictures better before even beginning to take photos. I can’t speak enough to our gratitude. We highly recommend the Gawnes for any wedding or shoot you want to be human and special. A+

wedding guests complimented how professional they were: when we got our pictures back (7 weeks after the wedding, despite the Gawnes having a newborn), there were so many photos that we didn't remember a photographer even being around! They did a great job of capturing the personality of our friends and family, and our engagement and wedding photos are perfect. I wish that we could have gotten a few more sunset/dusk pictures from our reception, but that's the only thing I can think that I'd like to change. You definitely get what you pay for and then some with the Gawnes. They're professional, quick to respond, great photographers, and so easy and fun to work with!

They also gave us full rights to the photos on a flash drive which was rare to find.
