We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at GP, and the service and food were great. We had the same server both nights and she was great (Anna). I spent the night at the hotel with my matron of honor and a bridesmaid. The room was large enough for all of us to get ready, and hotel staff didn't batt an eye when we asked for two chairs with chair covers (so that we could pre-tie sashes to put on the chairs at the reception. The ceremony and reception went perfectly. The serving staff were great, food was great, presentation was great. Dayle checked in frequently to make sure we didn't need anything. We are so happy with the day, our guests raved about how smoothly the event went. What a great day it was, and we can't thank the staff at GP enough!

ding in the Saratoga State Park, but very close to downtown Saratoga. We visited in Jan/Feb and they provided us with all the samplings of our food choices, along with wine! We couldn't finish it all but had great service for about $60. We were married at the Hall of Springs in front of the reception pool, but had our reception in the ballroom. I definitely recommend using the entire ballroom and not breaking it into sections regardless of how many people you have, we enjoyed the entire ballroom. We stayed at the Gideon and our guests loved the Bridal Suite, and we got ready in the suite, which was beautiful! They were very accommodating. The staff so was helpful and we were able to get into the ballroom the night before and that morning to set things up. We loved all the pictures we were able to capture because of the setting. During the cocktail hour some guests did complain about there not being enough food, and that there were no crackers with the cheese, which was thrown away early, but that is the only negative we heard (no biggie!). There was some changes made with our wedding planner, but we had Rob at the reception, who was more than helpful, and also recognized us walking in the town the next day and said Congrats. There were fireworks ironically during our reception which lead to great pictures. We had valet parking which was very convenient and the golf course was so close, which the groom and groomsmen appreciated. One last thing, the wait staff provided us both with drinks throughout our entire reception, without even asking. Overall, we were so pleased and we can't wait to come back and visit on our anniversaries.

r said hello. It definitely feels like you're renting the space for the ceremony and then are on your own until the reception when the staff is very much present. The food was good, but the bartender was grumpy and slightly rude. No one was available to help get our cake out of a corner for cutting. You get the idea. Lovely location, ok service and moody staff. I believe that it is definitely possible to get better service and a less stressful event for the amount of money you'd have to spend here.

atoga State Park. The hotel is beautiful and unique, which served as a fantastic location for a wedding. The staff at the Gideon Putnam were very helpful during the planning stages, but during the wedding the coordinator wasn't readily available or attentive. A few things went wrong because of her inattentiveness. I recommend hiring a day of wedding planner instead of relying on their staff for the day of the wedding. Other than that, the food was excellent and of course the location was amazing!
