It became apparent very early on in our search that we had left off one major factor we needed to consider in our selection: the venue owners themselves. Two or three visits in and it became clear that was something we were going to have to take into account. It was very apparent that weddings were, to most owners, a business. The sad truth of it is, to most owners, your wedding, your wonderful, magical, once-in-a-lifetime day, is just another weekend. Lauren and Donnie have somehow managed, throughout all their experience, to never lose sight of what your wedding means to you. It's never just another weekend for them. We certainly were not the only bride and groom they were working with throughout our wedding process, but we sure did feel that way. Rasberry Greene sat pretty close to the top of our list from the moment we found it on our initial searches. It was clear with just a cursory look through photos online that the venue was beautiful and perfectly in line with the natural style we were looking for. Meeting Lauren and Donnie (and finally seeing the beauty of Rasberry Greene in person) cemented our decision immediately. We had our date, and we had our venue. We were all set to get married at Rasberry Greene on Saturday, April 4, 2020. And then everything went wrong with the world. The state of Mississippi shut down on April 1, 2020. My wife and I cancelled our wedding two weeks out. We were heartbroken. All the work we had put into our day seemed wasted. Lauren and Donnie were in touch with us weeks before the shut down, helping us find a new date, helping us coordinate the rescheduling of all our other vendors, and very much carrying us through as though we were their own children. They were so supportive of us throughout the following months and absolutely essential to us keeping our sanity and getting everything rescheduled and squared away. They helped us retool our seating to space our (much reduced) guest list across the huge, open lawns, cleaned like mad before, during, and after any event at the venue, and worked with us to make our wedding as magical and safe as possible. On August 15, my wife and I finally got married at Rasberry Greene. I don't know how we would have managed it without Lauren and Donnie. Rasberry Greene is beautiful. It can be a wonderful home for your intimate wedding of 20 or play host to hundreds. It can be decorated to the nines in almost any style you can dream of, or leave it stripped down to its natural beauty. No matter what you do though, you'll deal with some of the best people we've ever met.

When the time came for the ceremony, you would have thought it was planned that way all along - - beautifully set up and turned back into reception space in no time. In the months leading up to the wedding, we had countless questions, not only about the venue, but about caterers, flowers, transportation, etc., etc. Lauren returned all calls / emails within an hour, often within minutes! They were such a pleasure to work with, and always offering ideas or suggestions where we needed them. (Our daughter is getting married next summer, and even though it will be 5 states away, Lauren still answers questions about receptions in general!) We still get compliments from our friends about the venue, even though it was a torrential downpour! Loved this place, and the people.

one. The historic venue is located on a beautiful lake in Soso, MS. The decor matched perfectly with the country aesthetic and the strings of lights draped around the exterior perfectly illuminated the special night. I was lucky to be a part of this event and would recommend this venue to any newly engaged couple. The best part was the unbelievable service from the owners. They were attentive and helpful and willing to do whatever it took to make the weekend special.

The outside was gorgeous during the day, but absolutely beautiful at night with all of the lights! I would definitely recommend this venue to anybody and everybody who asks! At the venue there are two beautiful places to have the ceremony outdoors, gorgeous reception room, kitchen, a large bridal suite, a groom’s suite, a fire pit, a deck, a decor room, and so much more! When my daughter and I walked into the bridal suite, we were both in awe of how spacious and gorgeous it was. I can’t say enough about how amazing this place is. It really is a hidden gem!

ere was not the beauty but the people. Donnie and Lauren were the most accommodating people we worked with during the planning of the wedding. They made our day go so smooth and relaxed. There was nothing we wanted that they were not willing to provide or at least give us some direction to look.

is gorgeous, the gin is unlike any venue I’ve ever seen, and I couldn’t have imagined anything to have gone more perfectly. They do all the heavy lifting, they made it as easy on us as possible, and they make it feel so homey! They have so many decorations, gorgeous antique furniture pieces, and everything you need to create a picture perfect celebration!
