Joy fabulously created our dream wedding cake. We had given her one picture of a similar style we wanted and the theme of the wedding, lavender and lace. She showed up to the wedding and easily put the finishing touches on the cake. As I could not see it when it arrived and had not seen it yet my father was the one to tell me all about it. "Grace, your cake came out wonderful. Joy did an awesome job, I can't wait for you to see it". I can't remember if I actually told her we wanted chocolate and yellow cake. I would have been just as happy with either. Marrying a black man it was the ongoing joke we should have both colors incorporated in our cake. When we cut into it I was pleasantly surprised. I did not have time to meet with her before the wedding for a tasting or anything. I was just happy I was getting married and that I found someone who understood our cake needs. The cake was a delicious swirl of chocolaty goodness and yellow cake. It just fit us perfectly. The outside looked just as we had wanted. Like an elaborate piece of beautiful lace. When everyone had left I was still eating the cake. I think in total I had five pieces (not including the ones I ate the next day). I know custom is to save some for your anniversaries but I couldn't, we ate it all. I highly recommend everyone to get their cake through Joy whether it be for a wedding or any special occasion. I couldn't have asked for a better cake.
