After, we did a zoom consultation to discuss our flavor choices, designs ideas, and they made suggestions of would work or might not work. Overall it was a very smooth and easy process. They were great to work with. And let me tell you that cake was amazing! We ordered a small cake to cut and cupcakes (some were gluten free) and they were delicious! All of our guest were raving about it! My family even said it was the best gluten free cupcake that they had. The only thing is, it was not quite the color I was envisioning but it still matched our color scheme and looked beautiful. We are definitely getting a cake/cupcakes from here again!

lling and frosting elements was a great idea, but it made it difficult know how different combinations would work together (would they be too rich, etc.). Flavor wise, the cupcakes were delicious and primarily worked out OK, just know there is LOTS of frosting which does mask the cake flavors. The tasting cake wasn't nearly as good (even though it was the same flavor as one of the cupcakes), it was dry and didn't taste as fresh. We were disappointed with the look/design, especially of the tasting cake, as it was quite simple and came off as an afterthought. We had multiple conversations with the bakery and shared some ideas/photos/examples for what we thought would look nice, but on the whole deferred to their experience (as I did with most of my vendors). This was the only case where it didn't really work out in our favor. Our tasting cake was very plain, flat white icing with just a ribbon in our color around the base, and none of the other design elements we discussed. Overall, I wouldn't not recommend them, but I would tell couples to be very specific on what they want their cake to look like, as leaving it up to the bakery just didn't work for us. We were very underwhelmed and disappointed by our wedding cake.

I highly recommend working with Kelsie and her team for any of your dessert needs!

They blew it out of the water and the taste was amazing! A lot of our guests told us how good it was after our wedding. If you can dream it, Kelsie and her team can make it a reality. Iced with Italian Buttercream frosting how could you go wrong. At our tasting we were able to mix and match a bunch of different cake, filling, and frosting combinations to find the perfect one. There's so many cake flavors to choose from! We also had a mini dessert display! OH MY GOSH, our guests were raving (for weeks after!) We ordered s'mores brownies, cream puffs, and French macarons! We were able to rent the most gorgeous ivory and gold stands too. The staff were all so kind and set everything up so beautifully at our venue Wolf Oak Acres. Thank you Kelsie, Ally, Leah, and Bailey for helping me have the most lovely wedding day!

We went with miniature versions of the traditional desserts including stuffed cupcakes in 4 flavors, cheese cake bites in 3 flavors, cannolis and half moon cookies with just a cutting cake. By the time the final count came in 1 week before the wedding we were down to only 245 guests, but decided not to alter the dessert amount. It ended up working out perfectly and everyone loved them so much we didn't have ANY dessert left over! Their carrot cake flavor and hummingbird flavor were by far the favorites among our crowd. I would highly recommend them for their services on your day of, and we will definitely be using them in the future for any upcoming family events!

contacting Chef Kelsie Mack less than 2 months before our wedding, which was fairly short notice given our schedule. From the very beginning, Kelsie’s responses were timely and thorough. With just a few email exchanges and a single phone call, we had our wedding order completely sorted. This was really helpful for us as we were planning the wedding remotely and weren’t able to meet with Kelsie in person. When it came to the day of the wedding, Kelsie had set up all of our desserts in our reception venue perfectly. No one from the wedding party was on site to help direct set up, but everything looked exactly as we had hoped. Kelsie worked with display stands as well as a few small decor items we provided. It was such a lovely surprise to enter the reception venue for the first time and see such a beautiful dessert display! Finally, and perhaps most importantly, everything was delicious! My husband and I are both lactose intolerant so Kelsie made an almond cake with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream frosting completely dairy free. We also had non-dairy free cupcakes in vanilla, chocolate peanut butter, and pumpkin spice. All of our guests loved them! Looking back on our wedding and the whole wedding planning process, working with Gingersnap Bakery was one of the best decisions we made.

ll of our guests couldn't believe the cake wasn't Birch slabs until we cut into it. Oh, and the impromptu flavor, chocolate cherry, was a big hit! I will be going back for cakes in the future. Did I forget to mention that they were half the price of the competition for the same design and seemed extremely confident that they could deliver the end-product?

But still the samples were yummy and woeking on ideas for main cake and what to choose for cupcakes was pretty painless. Any choice we made was going to be delicious. They day of our wedding we could not be happier! Our wedding cake wss 3 tiers with a celtic knot and a light green ribbon she matched with a swatch. It was beautiful! And everyone raved on the chocolate cake with rasberry mousse. But the cupcakes... omg... we ordered 5 dozen and not one was left by the end of the night! You should have seen the dessert line! We were so thrilled to have Gingersnap do our wedding! Highly recommend!

short months! Once we called Gingersnap, we knew we found the bakery for us! Kelsie did a phenomenal job. She had what seemed like an endless variety of cakes for us to taste. You could tell from our initial meeting that she had the skill and experience to make the wedding cake of our dreams. Not only did our cake look great, but it tasted like it just came out of the oven. We could not have been happier with The Gingersnap Bakery!

We couldn't have asked for a better bakery experience for our special day - thank you so much Ann! She made us a three tier apple spice cake with raspberry filling and a buttercream frosting. Since we were getting married at the Greystone Castle in Canastota, we had her design it like a castle with a stone wall texture (done in buttercream, not yucky fondant!) and hand-painted edible coat-of-arms style shields up along each tier. It was also batman themed to match the rest of our wedding. No exaggeration, the cake came out perfectly!

We then asked her to just bake a larger cake and we would pay the difference but she promptly refused. From this point on we were treated very poorly. While the cake was decorated beautifully we had asked for fresh fruit and paid extra to have it and instead one layer was covered in globs of frozen or canned strawberries and the other was completely lacking. Some of the cupcakes were delicious while others were almost completely inedible due to the saturation of food coloring and extract used. When we attempted to return the cupcake tower the store was closed, since there was nothing in the contract that gave a window as to when exactly it had to be returned we decided we would return it after our honeymoon which would be 6 days later. Instead, we recieved very rude telephone calls because they had no back up cupcake tower, which we didn't know and also thought was strange since this ,according to the owner, was such a "popular" bakery. If you enjoy paying $500 for unnecessary stress and an ok final product then I would highly recommend this baker. If not then I would say it is wise to go somewhere else.

We came up with an idea for the cake design together based on my theme and decided on a size based on my estimated number. Two weeks before the wedding, she met with us to finalize design and size. Of course, my ideas changed and she was ready and willing to make any and all changes in design. My wedding cake was not only absolutely beautiful, it was delicious! We also ordered other desserts from the bakery as well (cream puffs, fruit tarts, mini cheesecakes) and we also served cookies near the end of the night of the reception as well. Love this bakery!

t flavor and texture. I don't know about you, but I want to enjoy eating the cake- not just looking at it! We met with the bakery shop at a later date to do an official tasting. We slected a french vanilla cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing. We chose to have fresh flowers sent from our wedding florist. The bakery worked the flowers into a GORGEOUS arangement - it was flawless. It turned out exactly the way we imagined! They delivered the cake in perfect time, had everything set up and prettily displayed. Every phone call we had prior to our event was professional, curteous and they happily accomodated our needs and requests. They were a little pricey, but not more so than average. We chose this bakery dispite it being an Hour and a HAlF away from our venue! Yes, it was THAT good. We got a 4 tier cake, and overall I think it would have cost us around 500; but we chose to do the delivery and set up (we were afraid that we would ruin during the drive). That cost an addtional 150 since it was so far. Despite all that it was worth it. :) Great, friendly service, beautiful cakes, and delicious!
