The Glen Sanders Mansion

pproximately 210 guests attend and being able to get ready in the bridal suites and man cave, host the ceremony, reception/cocktail hour, afterparty AND accommodate lodging for our bridal parties + families (17 people), made things much more streamlined. In addition, since Mazzone owns the venue, having them cater the food allowed us to “bundle” the costs of food, alcohol and venue. This is a beautiful venue as well. They took measures to make sure their landscaping and outward/inward appearance were perfect, prior to the wedding. Preparations- once we had chosen Glen Sanders as our venue, we had the absolute pleasure of working with Katie R as our sales planner. I can’t convey enough how helpful she was throughout the entire process, prior to the wedding. She helped us choose our menu based on a target per head price and customize it as requested, coordinate and organize all details regarding the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, coordinate with some of our vendors, but most importantly answered every question we had with patience, speed and effectiveness. She was incredibly organized and it helped keep track of the million details at play. Day of- In addition Glen Sanders provides an event manager, who helps with the setup of all décor, the rehearsal, coordinating background details for event staff, facilitated progression of bridal party on the day of for pics/introductions/processions/etc. We worked with Leslie P, who has a wealth of knowledge about everything Glen Sanders, having worked there for 20+ years. She was thorough, present, patient, pleasant and helpful, with everything the day prior to and the day of the wedding. Lastly Glen Sanders ALSO provides a day of attendant, we worked with Maki. Maki also has a wealth of knowledge regarding bustling dresses and the inner workings of weddings at Glen Sanders. She served to assist with anything my husband or I needed throughout the day of the wedding. This included bustling my dress as well as fluffing it, holding flowers and my dress during picture changes, getting us food/drinks, and much more. Maki was an absolute sweetheart as well and made things go incredibly smoothly. Food- coming from an enormous Italian family, it was essential that the food was tasty. We had the 3 stations and 3 hand passed bites- all delicious and replenished throughout cocktail hour. People loved the dinners – 2 of the prearranged menus selections and 1 customized (for no additional cost). The presentation of the meals and cake were literally impeccable. Even when there was a slight hiccup in the frosting selection we chose, the head baker ensured that the message was relayed to my husband and I, so we could make another selection… to me, this is just one of the examples where they went above and beyond. Lodging- we worked with Jennifer for lodging at GSM and she was incredibly helpful. We made so many changes throughout and she was accommodating throughout! In addition, the rooms were reasonably priced and spacious/beautiful/ very clean. They have an awesome breakfast nook to curb the hangover the following morning 😊.

You made us feel so special and like we were the only couple you were working with. Thank you to the entire team that helped put on our wedding. I wish I could relive the day over & over. We 100% plan to book an anniversary trip to spend more time in the Inn!

m on the river and the spacious outdoor patio is the perfect location for wedding receptions. Not to mention the newly renovated lobby with a beautiful staircase and updated guest rooms. Having the Lounge restaurant/bar at the glen sanders was so perfect for guests looking to hang out between the ceremony and cocktail hour, and we were able to move back down into the lounge following the reception for an after party! All of our guests loved the outdoor area as well. Gabriela was amazing throughout the entire planning process, and made rescheduling (twice due to covid!) simple and stress free. Liz was fantastic the day of and made sure our reception ran so smoothly. My mom and I were so concerned with how long it would take to bustle my train but Maki bustled it within a few minutes and was so helpful throughout the day making sure I had everything I needed. Everything was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our decision to have our reception at the Glen Sanders and would recommend that everyone check out the Glen Sanders for any event they are looking to host!

The Mazzone Hospitality staff was exceptional and always goes above and beyond for their guests. I got so many compliments on the set up and the food. Andrea my wedding planner and Leslie my wedding manager were with us every step of the way and never let us down once! Im so glad I chose this venue as our wedding site because it was nothing short of fantastic from start to finish.

Maria, Lesley, and Linda made sure everything was perfect and we had everything we could ever need. I would never think of having our wedding elsewhere.

There was a small table hiccup, but nothing terrible. I wish I could relive the night over and over and over again. It wouldn't have been the same without the amazing staff at the Glen Sanders.

Beyond their amazing food and ambiance, Glen Sanders brought our back-of-napkin ideas to life, and literally tended to our every need the day of our event. We have yet to speak to a guest who didn't rank our wedding among the best they ever attended - and that includes some very honest critics :). My new stepdaughter asked us if we could throw another wedding sometime soon, and while we don't plan on that (for obvious reasons!), we can't wait to attend our next event there. Highly recommended for your special day - and don't forget to invite us as your guests ;-)

They knew exactly what to do and at what time so they guided the whole wedding party most of the night, answering their questions and keeping everything running smoothly. The food was amazing, the venue was polished and clean. All of the staff were friendly and inviting. We worked with Maria until the day of the wedding and she was also AMAZING! She always answered my phone calls and emails with any questions we had. To say the day was perfect is an understatement. I recommend this venue 1000 times over. It was the best decision we made!

s not easy to have a “perfect” wedding day. We looked at a lot of wedding venues and Glen Sanders met and exceeded all our expectations and still fell within our budget. The “Dream Date” weddings are the best deal in town. We got married in spring, so slightly outside peak season, but had the best experience at Glen Sanders. It was seriously mind-blowing that we could afford everything we received. The drinks were amazing and there was so much tasty food. The venue was so well organized and so well managed. There is a reason you use wedding professionals, they know what they are doing and are able to provide everything you need and didn’t know you wanted. Maria is a dream. We trusted her knowledge and opinion and she helped us so much with the planning process. Our day of coordinator and personal attendants were amazing. They handled every little detail and made sure we had everything we needed. My attendant even helped me bustle my gown, fixed my hair and ran back and forth to my suite to deliver and pick up things I needed (and I’m not one to ask for these things). The entire staff was so helpful and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! The grounds were still recovering from a very rough winter and a very cold spring but the pictures came out great. There are so many options for photography right on site and we didn’t have to worry about running around town or transporting our wedding party. Having everything we needed right on site was exactly what we wanted. We had our ceremony on site and then quickly transitioned to cocktail hour followed by the reception. Our wedding party and families were able to stay on site and we enjoyed having the bridal suite just upstairs. We loved having a spot for an after party right on site and it was just such a fun time. We can’t say enough about Glen Sanders, we’d highly recommend it!

Our wedding was in the winter so we had a lot of family staying at the Glen Sanders and they all loved it as well. Maria helped us to schedule and plan the details ahead of time. Anyone who has met her knows how incredible she is. Leslie set up the decorations and made sure everything was perfect. And of course, it looked amazing! Maki was there assisting the bridal party on that day and sewed up a broken bridesmaid dress in less than 5 minutes! On the wedding day, everything went so smoothly. When you have your wedding at the Glen Sanders you really do get a memorable experience.

Lesley who was our coordinator for the day was absolutely perfect, making sure everything was exactly how we pictured, and checking in on us throughout the day to make sure it was everything we wanted. My dad came up to me and noted how organized she was, but most importantly how personable and kind she was. Thank you, Lesley! Maki was our bridal attendant. Damn. This beautiful women literally did everything. From holding my train to my dress while I was walking and taking pictures and making sure we had a drink in our hand after setting it down on a table to greet a guest, to making a plate of food, packing up enough left overs for a week, and bringing everything up to our room without worry. This women deserves a raise! If you are in the process of looking for a venue, you would be crazy not to call Maria to inquire about the venue. I could go on all day! Maki was our bridal attendant and she was also just outstanding. He even coordinated with our DJ to make sure the wedding party walked at specific times so that I could walk to my husband at the exact moment in our song. Maki, our bridal attendant, saved my life by fixing my shoes (the strap came off before the reception, so she sewed it) and my husband's life by keeping food that was safe for him to eat completely separate from the rest when she packed it up for us. Aside from our specific interactions with people, our guests could not stop praising the entire staff (including the inn personnel) on their friendliness and attentiveness to them. Our guests could also not stop commenting on the beauty of the venue itself- which, aside from the people, is what really sold us when we were doing our venue searching. Glen Sanders Mansion is a classic, timeless venue that is run by people who really want to make your day special for you. We highly recommend them.

They turned out to be a much better value for fantastic food and a gorgeous venue. The staff are exceptional. Maria is absolutely amazing - from start to finish, she is attentive, really gets to know her couples, and designs the perfect reception for them. She made us feel comfortable and welcome from the start. No question is off limits, no detail too small for Maria's notice. The banquet manager, Lucien, was wonderful to work with. He expertly mapped our event and executed with ease, adjusting for delays and surprises. We were assigned a personal attendant, Maki. Maki is extraordinary! She anticipated our every need, and brought the event from awesome to exceptional for us. All in all, the grounds are gorgeous. The food is exceptional - our guests are still raving about how they've never had better wedding food. The Sanders suite was wonderful! The staff are exceptional, attentive - everything you could ask for on one of the most important days in your life, and definitely in your relationship. They made what we hoped would be an awesome day into an indescribably wonderful experience. If you are looking for a venue in the Capital Region, you've found it!

moment we met with the wedding staff to see the venue we knew we were in good hands. They are very organized and professional and are willing to work within a budget. You can tell they know what they're doing when it comes to weddings. The venue itself is gorgeous and I have not stopped getting compliments on how great the dinner and cake were too! The wedding coordinator that was with us all day helped keep everything running smoothly throughout the day's events. We also had two bridal attendants who helped grab us food and drinks, kept me calm before the ceremony began, and even scrounged up some tums when my husband wasn't feeling well! It was so great to know we were being taken care of like that. It was so nice having the hotel rooms right on site (the wedding suite was amazing!). Plus, having the pub downstairs for the after-party was so convenient and fun. You're in good hands when you have your wedding at the Glen Sanders Mansion! Thank you!!

at that point, as nothing else felt right. When we arrived at Glen Sanders for the tour, Maria brought us down to the bar for some champagne before the meeting. She took us through the space, then walked us through all of the details, and we were sold. First of all, Maria is amazing and has been doing this for many years. She knows her stuff! We booked right away. :) The planning process is easy and seamless with any Mazzone Hospitality venue, and I would argue Maria is the best! Planning from NYC was much less of hassle than we thought it would be. We decided at the last minute (a couple of weeks before the wedding) to re-do some of the food/beverage details, and they accommodated our request. The day of the wedding was perfect. We used the Stockade room for hair/makeup, then moved into the suite. Maki, our attendant, immediately arrived at the suite and brought us champagne. Of course, she was amazing the entire night. Our bridal party couldn't stop talking about how amazing she was. Before they could even think about getting their next drink, they had a new one in their hands. Frank, our Maitre D' is one of the best I've ever seen. He is kind, accommodating, and thoughtful - and he keeps the night moving along nicely, all while being nice to the other vendors and his staff. Props to you, Frank! All in all, we were very satisfied, and would recommend any Mazzone Hospitality venue - especially The Glen Sanders Mansion and the above folks mentioned. :)

From the moment I met Amanda, our banquet manager, I was completely at ease. I knew she had everything under control! Maria, Amanda, and the rest of the Glen Sanders team created an amazing evening for us and our guests including a Yankee dessert surprise that surpassed my wildest dreams. No detail was overlooked. The food was amazing and the service unmatchable- our glasses never empty and our plates always full! My husband and I, as well as our families were able to enjoy our wedding as guests knowing that Maria, Amanda, and Maki had taken care of everything. Thank you to all of you!

ay afternoon wedding, so we were the only wedding there that day, which I loved. There was no rush either before or after the wedding. Maria was a GEM to work with. She has been there for a very long time, knows exactly what's going on, was honest, sincere, and a real asset to our wedding planning process. We live out of town, so I was planning most of the wedding from far away, and she was very responsive to every phone call, question, concern, and change that I had throughout the process. She gave her honest professional opinion on what would and would not work, and was flexible with many of the changes we made as it got closer to the wedding date. The food on our wedding day was incredible - all of our guests are still talking about how delicious the meal was! The location itself is well kept, well managed, and in great condition - the maintenance staff really keeps it looking great. This place runs like clockwork yet we were able to personalize it however we wanted. The staff the day of the wedding was responsive and on top of everything, and they just really know what they're doing. All in all, we were immensely pleased at the entire process.

It was absolutely perfect! The food was spectacular and all of my family and friends continue to rave about not only the taste of the food, but the presentation and the service. I, personally, can't say enough about the service - impeccable! All waitstaff was professional, courteous and more than accommodating. Our personal attendant, Amanda, even provided me with a bin of ice covered with a towel for me to place my pained, swollen feet in while I sat at my table. I will never forget that kindness. one negative thing about my wedding experience at The Glen Sanders Mansion. The decorations and space were amazing, the food was out of this world, and the service I received from all involved that day, especially Amanda the banquet manager and Maki the bridal party attendant could not be surpassed by anyone else. No one could do the job of running that wedding better than they did. We had a lot of personal touches that the Mansion was able to bring even more attention to and make it just that much better. We stayed in the Suite the entire weekend and the service we received not only on our wedding day but for the whole weekend was amazing. My husband and I felt like we were part of a family that entire weekend. The absolute best place for a wedding in the Capital Region and beyond!!
