In the Florida countryside outside Ocala is your newest go-to choice for a wedding venue, known as Gorrie Mill, a property surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The recently renovated mill echoes with stories from the past in addition to offering all the necessary modern amenities for a memorable celebration. Couples can say “I do” under the canopy of towering oak trees before rejoicing with their beloved invitees in the lovingly restored building.
Facilities and Capacity
The stunning 75-acre Gorrie Mill and grounds boast indoor and outdoor settings for the special day. The Tree Island is a private, secluded island at the heart of the enchanting estate that creates a unique, romantic atmosphere. Surrounded by tranquil water, the island can be reached via a bridge, giving it a further sense of intimacy. Lights trickle down the branches, and combined with the magnificent Orange State starlight, the setting radiates with beautifully soft stillness, as if frozen in time. The Mill features large windows that allow the space to soak in natural lighting, adding warmth to the picture-perfect property. Magnificent wooden beams add a sense of security and strength, creating a unique foundation on which to build a long-lasting and happy marriage and celebrate a unique love story.

History
Gorrie Mill was originally a symbol of craftsmanship and rural industry in Gorrie, Ontario, before being relocated to its current location. Each detail, beam, and architectural feature has been intentionally reconstructed to honor and laud the building’s storied past, while giving it new life in fantastic Florida. The stonework you can see on the mill’s façade is constructed with local stones, representing a combination of two distinct regions that have come together to make a beautiful whole; a perfect metaphor for your wedding day.
