We were asked for some colors/inspo photos, but what we were provided was sort of a generic "fall" theme, and more like a vase of flowers and not a bridal bouquet for carrying specifically. If you have a specific idea on how you want things to look, you'd want to provide your own. The cake was more than adequately sized for our very small 10 person guest count. It tasted OK, a generic cake, got the job done. The contact-less check-in was a bit nerve-wracking because there's nobody on-site to help troubleshoot and nobody answers the phone directly. You have to leave a message and hope someone responds timely. They did within the hour, but not very comforting when it's the day of the event. The access codes didn't arrive when they were supposed to, but ultimately someone did call back and email them. There was no explicit rain contingency communicated and there was some confusion with the vendors about which area could be the rain backup as it ended up raining about 16 consecutive hours. It's rustic, as part of the charm, but be aware there was zero trail safety lighting between the Treehouse and the guest cabin, and the groom ended up severely twisting an ankle and there was no ice or first aid kit available, you're entirely on your own for injuries. There was also poison ivy growing up into easy accidental access that one of the guests had a bad reaction to. It's absolutely not ADA or elderly/mobility challenged friendly so consider your guests, and it's non-paved roads to access, and they suggest you send out maps and written directions as GPS and cell service is spotty. I would have preferred more of these limitations were clearly communicated during the booking call so we had the full picture ahead of time. I don't know that it would have affected our decision, but the little things that kept popping up to warn people about added stress. The photographer was lovely on site, although I haven't seen the photos yet. Again it was pouring down rain and there isn't well-lit indoor options with the Treehouse or cabin and she was not setting up a light kit, so there's not really a contingency plan for bad weather. I'd suggest bringing your own aesthetic umbrellas and factor that into makeup choices. The photos on the website include indoor portraits, but that was not offered as an option, so the rain plan has to be pro-actively discussed even if it's not in the forecast, as ours wasn't until the last few days. Don't expect them to reach out. I probably would stay there again as a little trip, but it I were booking a wedding again, I'd have a LOT more questions about safety, contingencies, if there's anyone on site or immediately available if there's issues, all of the access limitations guests should know much farther in advance.

sts enjoyed dancing on the patio and the bonfire, and the glowing lights just made for the perfect evening. Amy, our day of coordinator, did a wonderful job keeping everything on track and making sure the timing of things went flawlessly. All of our guests just loved the venue, and we did too!

o—if you're tired of hotel ballrooms and looking to get married somewhere interesting, this definitely fits the bill! Their excellent online presence and active communication were a godsend while we were planning our Ohio wedding from out of state. I would definitely trust this venue and team with my event again!

The list of vendors they give you is a BIG help, utilize it. Our event manager was truly wonderful the day of, we are incredibly thankful to have had her help. A special addition to having a wedding here is being able to stay in a treehouse connected to the Grand Barn AND have friends & family stay at the venue the night of the wedding. How neat is it that your guests can just walk back and go to bed after a night of celebration and laughter?! I truly could not imagine a more beautiful venue to get married at. Everything exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Our event coordinator, Amy, was such a delight to work with and made sure everything was going according to plan. Amy made sure that all of the curveballs were already handled before we even knew about them. Without her, our day couldn't have been such an amazing and magical experience for us all. It was wonderful to hear from the guests how cool it was in their treehouses and cabins. It's like everyone was able to have a unique experience with each place being so different. We've now stayed in The Silver Bullet, The Tin Shed as well as The Nest with plans to eventually stay in them all. Each time has been different experiences in the best ways. We would highly recommend having your wedding here because you couldn't get a better place or better staff to help make it amazing and there's no doubt they deliver that time and time again. You should also come here for your weekend getaways. There's no better place to spend some time.

had excellent communication, friendly and quick to respond to any/all questions, and an Event Day Manager for day of communication. We had Emma & Ellie as our EDM & Bar staff, they were both amazing! Going above and beyond for our family/friends. The weather didn’t cooperate with us, so we had to move to the pavilion but Emma was ON it! Got everything handled very last minute to do the switch and was running around to assure she was getting everything done that needed to be so our day would be perfect! Could not have picked a better venue to trust with our special day! Would HIGHLY recommend! I fell in love the minute we pulled up to our first visit!! We are so happy we picked The Mohicans & our guests all raved about the venue as well!!

Everyone I worked with for my wedding was helpful and kind and worked with me without questions on anything I needed for my wedding. It was everything I wanted and more and the memories will stick with me forever. I highly recommend the Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue. It was the woodsy wedding of my dreams and I would happily do it all over again.

was one of the top they have ever been to. When we got engaged at El Castillo back in 2021. We didn’t know a wedding venue was on site. When we were looking at venues, we knew we had to check out the Mohicans. From Miguel at the start for the information all about the wedding venue.m, vendor list to our tour, we were blown away. It was special and we knew we had to get married there. We loved that we were able to talk to the owner, Laura Mooney early on. That’s a nice touch. The communication was incredible along the way and we couldn’t be more happy with our experience. I would email a question and within a couple hours, we had a response. The planning team just outdoes themselves with their response team too. It makes the couple feel less stressed along the way. The vintage room on site has all of this amazing decor, we recommend paying a little extra to utilize it. Amy- our event coordinator on site was amazing from the planning advice to the day of the wedding organization. Her communication, calm demeanor and thoughtfulness to go above and beyond meant the world to us. She is top notch and we were lucky to have her on our special day. Truly, lucky. My wife and I will be back to stay on the grounds in another treehouse to celebrate anniversary’s , just to relax and escape reality. The Mohican’s will always hold a special place in our hearts. We can’t recommend them enough. Gorgeous venue. Classy and professional.

They helped make the entire process easy from first touring the venue to closing things up on our wedding night. We also LOVED that our family and friends were able to stay onsite in the cabins and treehouses. It made for a very easy way to see everyone again the next day. I couldn't recommend this venue more!

Everything went fine until the end of the night the Mohican rep started being very rude/snippy about us getting out of there - and saying everything must be cleaned up by 11- considering we were done and out by 10:45 there was no reason to be rude. She was great all day and then at the end just got crappy.

eautiful it was. There’s gorgeous photo ops all over the property. They provided two day-of coordinators, Heather and Amy, who did a phenomenal job. They took care of everything we needed, all night long. The venue is so beautiful on its own you don’t even have to do much decorating. Plus, they have a decor rental room, and using it is the best decision you can make! It’s full of candles, lanterns, vases, signs, and other decor. All we really did is bring flowers. Our wedding was absolutely magical. Two notes that I do have: The communication with them wasn’t great. Very difficult to get them on the phone so all communication was restricted to email, which could take some time to get a reply. The amount of information given wasn’t very extensive. The final month they really stepped it up, but it’s not ideal when you spend over a year prior planning. Also, the navigation directions on their website isn’t great. The roads around the venue don’t have good signage, and are dirt and twisty, plus the lack of cell service. It’s hard to find a transportation company, especially one that’s been there before, so it adds on stress as to whether guests will arrive on time. They need a reliable transportation service to work with them, and maybe some better signage. All in all I had a wonderful wedding day and am very glad I had my wedding there!

getting married. Everything was so smooth from the moment we booked to the end of the wedding night. The managers and bartender on site were so lovely to work with. Any issues were instantly taken care of and the day was stress free. I couldn’t have asked for a better day! The weather was so perfect we had both the ceremony and dancing on the patio but I really liked how there is a back up option that is covered outside incase there was rain. I wasn’t stressing so much about the weather since either way all the guests could enjoy the beauty of the venue outside. There isn’t good cell reception but we didn’t mind as long as we coordinated ahead of time with our guests but it was so worth it. We will forever be grateful for the wonderful experience working with the Mohican Treehouse Wedding Venue and have so many beautiful memories made we will cherish forever. If you are on the fence about booking this venue please look no further!

e. The behind the scenes- their wedding coordinator, Leah, was everywhere. Anytime you needed anything she was just there. This angel ran out in the rain to move my flower arch to the covered pavilion. I cannot stress how amazing she helped make this. The bartenders were great too! They recommended several vendors- dj Rockin Al (go with him!!!! He’s incredible and makes everything so seamless and perfect!) and pioneer trails for transportation- I heard the driver was amazing. We had sun for our first oook and pictures and then rain came right at ceremony time but they just switched it so fast and easily it worked out just fine. So it’s a great venue for peice of mind that either way with weather- you’re more than good. It didn’t feel like making so either, it felt like a gorgeous wedding outside still that happened to be covered too. We even ended up dancing in some of the drizzle and it was magical. The treehouses themselves are amazing! And they had the cutest note to us with a bottle of champagne and a heart in petals on the bed. So cute. The only down side, which really isn’t one but it’s important to note. It is a sketchy road so make sure u do have transportation for guests if you’re having them stay elsewhere. And transportation was tricky to find and about a grand. So consider that. Ubers are not available. (We knew and were ok with all of that but good to know if u are not familiar with the area). The only other thing was the mimosa bar for getting ready was insanely over priced. We did a whole wedding champagne toast and it costs almost as much as the mimosa bar would’ve for just two bottles of champagne lol. But again, that’s not an issue and we didn’t need that anyways. Just a second thing to note if that’s important to u and ur on a strict budget. Over all, the most amazing day. So beautiful and dreamt even with some rain. I am beyond happy and still glowing. Every guest kept talking about how beautiful it was. And we can’t wait to do anniversary trips there <3 thank you for helping us throw the party of our lives. :)

She also helped with details day of that helped all events run smoothly. Also huge shout out to the bartenders who helped keep our party safely poppin! As well as Ellie and Amanda. I saw them both constantly running around and making the space clean. The little touches the staff added did not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated! Truly worth every penny!!

2 days usually the same day. The staff we were assigned for final details and day of were incredibly helpful and made sure everything went smoothly. They were kind and very organized. The catering blew our minds. We had a themed wedding (Tiki) and they developed a custom menu for us that was incredibly memorable and was bursting with flavor. The billing was the only area for improvement as there is no platform for centralized billing between the venue, catering, vendors, treehouses etc. We went back and forth quite a bit to figure out what was owed and what was paid with the billing department. Highly recommend this venue!

The venue and getting ready suites were very clean, and someone on staff was there the entire wedding day to ensure everything went smoothly and we had everything we needed. Our guests loved the treehouses and the Old Farmhouse- though a few had some difficulty finding the venue with their GPS/ poor cell service. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend them! It honestly was the perfect place to start our married life. Sounds cheesy, but it all felt like a fairytale for us.
