I can’t even put into words how amazing our wedding was! Erika is worth every penny! She and her husband Ryan absolutely killed it. I had no stress leading up to the wedding, they were extremely organized and helpful throughout the entire wedding process! All of our guests told us our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. It was seriously the best night of my life and we could not have done it without Erika! Through the rain and sunshine Erika handled every situation so perfectly. The wedding was beyond what I could’ve ever dreamed of!!
My husband and I used the Greatest Adventure to help plan our elopement and they were beyond amazing. We are located in Kansas and Erica made sure we had everything we needed for our elopement which took place in Washington.
While planning our wedding we were running into a lot of stress because we wanted to elope, but we still wanted the overall feel of a wedding. From our first phone call with Erica I knew she was going to be perfect for planning our elopement.
During the initial call we discussed what we were looking for and she had ideas and recommendations for vendors to help us accomplish this. She was able to provide a list of vendors for everything we needed such as photographers, hair and makeup, florals, and cakes. After we selected vendors she took care of everything else. My husband and I just had to show up. The day was seamless and stress free. Since we were eloping with just the two of us we had a mini cake that was to die for, and Erica put together a spectacular charcuterie board for us to have. She had candles that matched the colors of my bouquet and brought everything we needed. Erica also officiated the wedding and it felt special and unique to us.
We would definitely recommend the Greatest Adventure Weddings to anyone.

It was clear from the start that we were in good hands. Erika brings with her years of experience, which was evident throughout the entire process, as even the smallest details are thought of and accounted for.

Hiring a wedding planner is the most important thing you could do in the beginning stage of wedding planning! We had THE GREATEST OUTLANDER WEDDING! It’s all in the name & they surely live up to it. All I can say is HIRE ERIKA! My husband & I decided to get married in North Carolina because our favorite show “Outlander” (our wedding theme) was currently set in NC 200 years ago. Erika handled it so gracefully & reassured us that this was our day and whatever we wanted it was going to happen! She did not disappoint the entire time. Now I can’t say I wasn't a nervous bride because I definitely felt it, I felt all the nerves all the way up to the big day! That was my main factor in deciding to hire a wedding coordinator. I wanted our day to go completely smoothly with no stress. Since we knew we wanted to elope no matter what & that was most important to us & what was also just as important was making sure we didn’t have to think on our special day! With our decision of eloping alone came with knowing we wouldn’t have any family or friends there on the day of to help us or just to be there for comfort; those were nerves I was feeling. However along the way of planning the out of state elopement we realized we didn’t just hire planners we hired friends! The kind of people who care for your big day just as if it were their very own; putting everything into consideration, thinking of things before we even had to. The real magic I will say had to be on the day of! From the moment Erika showed up that morning of our wedding she came to conquer the day with her superwoman organization powers. It took me a moment to realize that I didn’t even have to think! Erika was doing that for me too! She truly was the best wedding gift we gave ourselves because she made our day what it was. She made it all happen for us! From scouting out our photo & ceremony spots the day before in the foggy mountains in a place she has never been! To then have backup plans in case of bad weather, as well as being in contact with all our vendors for us & making sure to have our cake, flowers & all our meals for the day! Wow we felt like the whole entire day was all about us! & it was! I still am so grateful for all the little things she does that make a huge difference! Things like steaming my dress, helping the groom iron, making sure our photographers had our special props and mementos & that everything was even put back and returned just as neatly as it was given. Again I cannot say this enough if you don’t want to have to think on the most important day of your life then HIRE ERIKA! She will make sure from the moment you decide to book with her that everything will be handled and any obstacles can be overcome. We couldn’t have had a more PERFECT WEDDING DAY. It’s ALL WE TALK ABOUT. I didn’t even really have to tell her what vibe we were going for, she totally got it, she knew what she was doing! SHE UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! Everyone we have spoken to up to and after our wedding all it has been is singing praises about how we really did have the BEST DAY EVER. We couldn’t have had a better team by our sides for these most meaningful moments, each time I would look over at Erika she would have a big smile on her face & it would just fill my heart up that much more having all that love & support surrounding us! She made our dreams come true, every vision we had she helped bring it to life; giving us truly the greatest adventure wedding, it is a day we will forever be replaying in our minds, I know our hearts are forever full from the most perfect wedding day. We loved working with Erika! Planning a wedding is no joke.. there are so many small details and logistics that you probably won't think of, and Erika made sure we were staying on track of everything. There was a great balance of letting us run with our ideas, and offering suggestions when we were lost or indecisive. She also sneakily took care of SO many things behind the scenes leading up to the wedding, and the day-of. There was a ton of coordination with our vendors, and the final timeline was incredibly helpful. I'm pretty type A, but I felt comfortable sitting back on the day of the wedding knowing that everything would be taken care of. One of our core vendors got lost and almost didn't make it in time for the ceremony, but it was actually fairly low stress (for us, at least) because it was very apparent that Erika and Ryan were going to solve the problem one way or another. It required a few pivots, but we were so happy with how everything turned out!
Multiple people in the wedding party and family also commented on how smoothly things went! Erika has an impressive way of staying calm, cool, and collected while still managing to get everything done and herding all of the cats.
It was seriously the best weekend, and I would not have been able to enjoy the actual wedding day as much had it not been for Erika and Ryan keeping everything flowing smoothly behind the scenes!
As someone who struggles to let other people help her I am so glad we had Erika to help plan our special day! Not only did she save my a$$, but we were traveling somewhere we’ve never been, off season, and where a lot of the area was shutting down, (easy panic, haha) but she helped source some of the BEST vendors, scouted out the coolest locations, adventures, and truly made it an experience to remember! We are both SO incredibly grateful and in awe of how perfect the day was, every detail. It was better than anything we could have ever imagined. I think she’s basically part of the family now. LOL.
We wanted to elope from Florida to Washington, and with that distance, we knew we had to enlist the experts. We were so happy with the decision to choose The Greatest Adventure Weddings & Elopements! Erika made the process so easy and comfortable from the very first call. She made us feel 100% confident that every need would be met for our arrival and big day! If you are looking to elope in the PNW I highly recommend The Greatest Adventure Weddings & Elopements. What I loved most about choosing TGAW&E is that there was no minimum to customization. They accommodated only what was needed for OUR special day so that we were not paying for anything unnecessary. The pricing was broken out specifically to show fees, and the support to stay on track with the timeline was simplified as well.

We absolutely loved working with Erika! When we started working with Erika in 2020, little did we know we would have to reschedule our 2021 wedding for 2022. We basically started from scratch and I can’t imagine navigating any of it with The Greatest Adventure (TGA) weddings. All along the way, I had family and friends asking how planning was going and if we needed any help- but TGA set everything at the right pace so I never felt overwhelmed. The value of Erika’s expertise was apparent all along the way but not until the rehearsal did I really understand how much we needed TGA. Our wedding was more conventional than TGA’s bread and butter, 60 guests at Heyday Farm on Bainbridge Island but Erika and her team made us feel like we were on cloud nine. I will recommend TGA for any WA locals and every couple planning a destination wedding or elopement!
Hiring Erika to help plan and design our intimate adventure wedding was the best decision we made. We wanted to have a wedding with a small group of close family and friends in the mountains, but having never been to North Cascades before we had no idea where to start or what the day could even look like.
Erika was one of the first vendors we hired and she was our partner every step of the way. She recommended all of our amazing vendors, from a catering company that would cater a mountainside picnic reception to helping us choose the Airbnb that we would stay in with our families for the weekend and everything in between. She helped us choose the right locations, from finding a stunning roadside location so that our parents who don’t hike would be able to access it easily for the ceremony, to keeping us informed on the road closures and having a back up plan for every scenario, to giving us extra recos for hikes in the area to do before and after the wedding. When covid hit and we were forced to postpone not once, but twice, Erika was so patient and understanding, and we are so glad we were able to keep working with her despite all the delays.
Erika is organized, responsive, caring, thoughtful, warm, and extremely knowledgeable - everything a great wedding planner should be. We were ahead of schedule on our wedding day, something all of our vendors were impressed by and is a testament to Erika’s abilities as a wedding planner. Everything went off without a hitch, and all of our guests kept commenting on how beautifully everything came together and what a unique and memorable wedding it was. Our wedding was well worth the wait, and it was everything we imagined and more. Erika turned our vision into a reality. If you’re considering an adventure wedding, Erika should be the first person you hire for your vendor team!
There are so many ways Erika helped reduce my stress during wedding planning that I’ve lost count. I knew she was the right choice when she helped me narrow down my neurotic list of 60 possible venues to a few great choices and ultimately guided us towards our dream venue, Saltwater Farm. I had a very specific aesthetic vision for the day and Erika understood it and found me the right rentals from such a variety of vendors, something I would have never been able to navigate on my own. I think it’s normal to be curious or anxious leading up to your wedding day, wondering how your vision will play out. But I needn’t have worried because it was even better than I expected. When I saw our tablescapes, my jaw dropped. As for problems, if there were any, I never heard about them and our guests didn’t experience any – which is the mark of a great planning vendor! Hiring Erika allowed us to be fully in the moment with friends and family on our wedding day. We received so many texts after the wedding saying that the event was gorgeous, but not fussy. We can’t say enough about Erika and Ryan. They made the planning process for our intimate wedding so easy (I would still be stuck endlessly spinning my wheels without them). Erika absolutely nailed the aesthetic and vibe we were going for and set us up with the absolute best vendors. Ryan was our officiant and he made the ceremony so beautiful and we felt so relaxed. They were a dream to work with and truly gave us the wedding of our dreams.

Erika designed a beautiful table for our family meal, she really is the best! She is so talented and understands your vision quickly! There are not enough words to describe how absolutely amazing Erika is. She is so kind, easy-going, and works with couples from all walks of life. Erika has a huge heart and is committed to making the world a better, more just place and being a good steward of the outdoors. It meant so much to us to be working with someone with such integrity and who held our same values.
I had no clue where to start with vendors and was stressed about having time to do all the research with my busy schedule. Erika listened to what our hopes were for our celebration and curated the most perfect list of vendors for us to choose from. She took all the stress out of getting started and made it so easy and fun for us to put together our vendor dream team! And then COVID-19 happened. Erika pretty much re-planned our entire day when our wedding needed to pivot from a bigger celebration to a small elopement. She showed up for us in the biggest way, and supported us through all the changes and stress. Erika made herself available for multiple phone calls and always responded to my many emails as things seemed to change day to day. I know she was also doing this for every other couple she was working with, and I was amazed at her hard work, care, and commitment to her couples during such a stressful time.
Our Plan B was even more magical and perfect than our Plan A, and I get tears in my eyes every time I think about it! Erika found us the most breathtaking spot in the mountains to get married, and created the most relaxing and fun day for us. We kept all the details that were important to us from our originally planned big celebration, which made it feel even more special with it just being us and our immediate family. Erika and her husband, Ryan, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Seriously, Ryan was meticulously picking tiny pine needles off of our outdoor dinner table before we sat down to make sure it was *perfect*, which we all were laughing about! They even picked up our mini wedding cake for us from the bakery so we didn’t have to drive back into town the morning of our wedding. It’s the little things like that that show you how much Erika and Ryan care. My spouse and I have been to weddings where the couple, bridal party, and family are so busy doing things for the wedding that they don't get to enjoy it. That’s a big reason why we chose to work with Erika and she delivered - we didn’t worry about a single thing the whole day and all of us were able to be present and truly soak up every moment.
Erika has a warmth and energy about her that puts everyone at ease. She is extremely organized, always knows the answer to every ridiculous question you have, has amazing style, and an impeccable eye for detail. You can feel how hard she is rooting for you leading up to and during your big day. She really cares about her couples and it shows. Our wedding day wasn’t exactly what we thought it would be, but it actually ended up being better. Erika and Ryan are to thank for that. You 1000% want them as part of your wedding day team!
Erika was nothing short of wonderful as our wedding coordinator! She became much more to us than a planner as she supported us through 2 years of (what felt like) endless pivoting of plans due to COVID-19 and helping us get through the often emotional journey. She felt like a friend we could count on during this crazy time.

Erika and Ryan were the biggest help in making our intimate wedding a success. After rescheduling and changing plans because of COVID, we felt confident moving forward knowing they would be there to help. I never really had an “ideal wedding”, I didn’t know what options I had or how to find them! I just needed someone to hear what small ideas I had and make them into something amazing!
How did The Greatest Adventure’s assistance improve your wedding/elopement planning experience?
Erika was so chill it really helped to calm me down, because literally everything makes me nervous haha. And it was like she just knew what I wanted without me having to explain it!
What would you tell other brides who are considering hiring The Greatest Adventure for their wedding/elopement day?
I would say if you’re looking for someone with similar styles/tastes who enjoy being outside then Erika is definitely the one for you! She’s open to everything and super silly and fun to be around!

Yes definitely! I think she could have charged more for everything she did!

Having the Greatest Adventure as our elopement planner was the best decision we could have made! After deciding to postpone our wedding until next year and knowing we wanted to still get married this year, eloping was the perfect solution for us! But, planning an elopement in Washington while living in Ohio seemed like a daunting task. From the first time we spoke with Erika we were immediately at ease. She was so professional, but also kind and personable. Although we started the planning process only a month out, it was very stress-free since Erika was so on top of it! She scouted locations for us, sent us vendor recommendations, explained the permit and marriage license process, officiated the ceremony, handled the flowers, and more! When we finally met her and her husband, Ryan, in person on our wedding day we immediately felt like we wanted to be friends. We cannot recommend Erika and the Greatest Adventure enough! I don't know how we would have planned our last minute elopement without them.
Erika is amazing! I can’t even begin to tell you how she made our day feel special and made the planning to easy from across the country. Going into a trip from New York to Washington to elope was scary. Going all off reviews, dreams and hope. Erika made this process very easy for us. We would choose her over and over again!
We LOVED Erika and were so happy we went with her to plan our elopement. I talked with a couple planners and Erika really stood out to me because she felt so personable and I really liked her work.
Our elopement was just the 2 of us and it was a very nice surprise to have Erika and her then fiance there. While Erika was helping me get ready, Ryan was hanging out with my husband and enjoying some drinks. My husband loved having someone to drink with while I was getting ready. They felt more like friends than our wedding planner.
Erika did such an AMAZING job finding the perfect location for our intimate ceremony and picnic reception. We had the entire place to ourselves and the picnic reception was everything I wanted and more.
I would highly recommend you hire Erika. She is very detailed oriented and her styling is wonderful!
We were impacted by the global pandemic and our Costa Rica destination wedding was cancelled. We weren’t sure if we were going to be able to marry any time soon. We starting researching elopement options and stumbled upon Erika and Ryan’s business. They graciously agreed to take us on as their first COVID elopement and soglad we did! They turned what was a very frustrating and confusing time into the wedding day of our dreams! It really felt like a fairytale. They were extremely easy to work with, flexible, and listened to our ideas, bringing it all to life. From the beautiful picnic, to finding the wedding arbor we wanted and the gorgeous flora arrangements. We were even able to keep some of the items used on our day so we’ve repurposed them and now have twinkling lights and tiki torches in our backyard which we can relive the most perfect day all over! If you are looking for an extremely down go earth and super creative team, don’t hesitate, Greatest Adventure Weddings is they way to go!
If you take away anything from this review, let it be that our elopement could not have happened without the assistance of Erika! I will try now to express how grateful I am for her services.
My husband and I had originally planned for a 100+ person wedding in which I was determined to plan everything myself. I did not believe that I needed a day-of coordinator, nor did I want to spend money on one. Ieven had almost everything planned and ready to go almost a year out from the big day. Then, I saw she was tagged in one of my photographer’s photos on instagram, and I looked at reviews of her services online. After reading the stories from past brides about all the things that happened before and on their wedding day that they couldn’t predict, and that Erika was there to manage, I knew I needed a coordinator if I wanted to actually enjoy the day. We met face to face back in 2019 and I knew right away she was the one I wanted!
When COVID hit and turned our big wedding into an intimate elopement, Erika was right there with us to walk through the process. And the process only got more difficult as time went on. We waited until two months before the big day to switch to an elopement, and Erika guided us through reaching out to our vendors, switching the venue, our elopement day timeline, and provided support to us with our decision, as our families were not happy with the change. She helped arrange a new florist, assisted with cake pickup, and immediately helped me hire a new HMU artist when my first one could not commit to the big day.
But most of all, Erika was the one person we could talk to about our situation. No one before us had experienced anything like this, and she was able to use her knowledge and expertise to provide us with what we needed to get married in the way we wanted. Not only that, Erika had to change her own wedding plans during this time, and she never complained or made us feel less-than important to her because of it.
On the day of the elopement, she had a cohesive plan for all of our vendors, set up a lovely cake table for us, and made us feel celebrated. Her presence and positive energy is what made our small elopement truly special.
As COVID continues to impact our world, I can’t imagine trying to plan, navigate, and execute a wedding without the support and skill that Erika brings. Take it from a grade A planner who has done an insane amount of research on all things weddings--you want Erika for your day!
In a time of wedding planning, when my brain was scattered, I was overwhelmed, and I was constantly unsure of the decisions I was making, Erika was there. She helped these two New England transplants have the west coast mountain wedding of our dreams.
Early on I told Erika that our love for nature, hiking, and epic adventures was the reason we were choosing to make our entire families and most of our friends fly across the county and then drive 3 hours into the North Cascades to watch us get married. After our wedding, I felt like our loved ones were able to fully grasp why we love living out in Washington. Most of them didn’t want to leave! She pulled together the most incredible team of vendors who, each in their own way, gave a little taste of things we love about living in Washington. Her vision for our outdoor wedding and tented reception was above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined. One thing that amazed me about Erika’s design work is that I am pretty sure I gave her the words “natural, ethereal, mountain” as wedding goals, pinned a few things and she created a mood board that I literally drooled over for days. What she ultimately created for our wedding day was incredible. I felt like I had been plopped inside a dream world of pretty things. As I look back at our photos, each time I realize more incredible details that Erika thought to include.
If anything went wrong on our wedding day, I wasn’t aware of it. To be honest, my only complaint about my wedding was that I was so excited during the cocktail hour to talk with friends and family that I totally missed the cheese board, which my mom was sure to tell me was the most incredible cheese display she’s ever had – thanks mom. But in all honesty, Erika had our wedding day flowing beautifully. She coordinated between numerous vendors, coordinated a dog drop-off, gathered the bridal parties and parents (not as easy as you’d think), decorated and organized, and coordinated a 125 person wedding, all at a venue with no cell service. She is a total rockstar.
After our rehearsal two nights before our wedding, my dad turned to me. He pointed out Erika (who had just managed to wrangle 15 people who had just been reunited for the first time in over a year through an easy and flawless wedding walk through) and he said, now that is a hard worker, you can tell that she loves what she does, and you hiring her was the best decision.
For my now-husband and I, planning our wedding and getting married unexpectedly coincided with an incredible difficult time in our lives. Erika was a supportive and positive constant, always checking in, providing advice and guidance, and making decisions for us when we couldn’t. To be honest, our day would not have been what it was without her.

Friends advised me to hire a wedding planner, or at the very least a coordinator, and I am SO glad I listened to them. I'm even happier that I decided to go with Erika, who I met through a very good friend. Everyone told me to prepare for one thing to go really, super wrong on my wedding day, and so I mentally prepared for that to happen. However, because I hired Erika, my wedding day went off without a single hitch that I'm aware of. I hired Erika for wedding coordination, and after our initial consult she sent me a curated selection of vendors to review and hire on my own. Starting from the final walk through and final planning meeting, things really got going, and she went over every single detail of the day with me. I know that without her and her team, I would have been stressed about decor getting to the right places, worried about my family working to set things up instead of enjoying themselves, and working myself instead of taking in my wedding day. I had to do exactly NONE of that, because of The Greatest Adventure Weddings. One of the things my mom comments about most is the fact that at the end of the night, she thought to herself that she should start gathering things together for people to take home. She was pleasantly surprised to find that everything had already been gathered, put away, or loaded into cars. I don't know what to say except that Erika is a wedding planning fairy godmother and I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone getting married anywhere (she travels, people!)!

I was just going to ask a co-worker to help with the day of coordination and we would do the rest of the planning ourselves. Erika and her team far exceed our admittedly very high expectations! From the very beginning, Erika made us feel completely comfortable with the planning process. Us being in Michigan and planning our wedding from afar had its challenges, but Erika took all of the stress out of the process and handled every single detail, big and small. Erika is super detailed, organized, and on the ball. And, she has amazing taste and knows where and how to get everything you could ever dream of for your wedding!! Erika went WAY above and beyond, we were blown away with the amount of time and effort she put into making our dream wedding come true. We worked with Erika for almost a year and knew that we were in great hands. We had complete trust that she had everything under control. Our wedding day was perfectly executed, and we were so thankful for Erika and her team for all of their hard work leading up to our wedding day, and especially on that day. I nearly cried when I saw how completely perfect our dinner and party set up was, it was literally everything I had been envisioning and dreaming of. Every minute of the day was planned perfectly and Erika really took the pressure off us so that we could truly enjoy our day. Having Erika plan our intimate wedding was a breeze, considering we did it all over the phone and from opposite ends of the country! With distance being so much and the fact that we were so busy with school, we decided to go for Erika's full planning services and it's because of this that we had such an enjoyable (and stress free!) engagement leading up to the wedding. She was thorough and well networked; she recommended vendors that were spot on with what we had in mind. Communication was quick (and at times, hilarious) and her excitement for our wedding was infectious. She gathered a wonderful team of vendors who complemented our wedding day so well and put our vision together for our reception. She also secretly helped me plan a unique surprise for my husband for our wedding day. Erika's partner, Ryan, officiated our wedding (his first!) and did a wonderful job in doing so; his delivery of our ceremony script was warm and genuine - and authentically reflected my husband and I. We dreamed of an other-worldly, moody, and wooded escape for our wedding and Erika + the vendors she gathered brought it to life. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering hiring her as your planner! By the time the wedding came around, Erika felt like a close friend and we were happy to have her company at our wedding. Fun fact: Greatest Adventure was actually recommended to me by *another* planner!
I attended a workshop with Erika and it was amazing! Her energy and knowledge really stands out. She loves what she does and it shows! Either for mentoring if you are a wedding planner or if you are an engaged couple looking for a unique experience, she is the one!
If you take nothing else away from this review, HIRE ERIKA. She is, hands down, the *best* money we spent on a wedding vendor. Her vendor recommendations were spot on -- first, it was incredibly helpful to have 300+ results for [insert wedding service here] distilled down into 3-5 options that were within our budget. Second, you know all those wedding planning horror stories about flaky vendors? We experienced none of that. Every vendor we contacted from Erika's suggestions was nothing but professional, easy to get in touch with, easy to get along with, and delivered on their contracts. I don't know that wedding planning can ever truly be a breeze, but she made it as pain free as possible for us.
If we ever had questions during the planning process, Erika was just a quick email away and always super willing to help with whatever we needed. For example, she handled picking up our pies from the bakery and delivering them to our venue, since our venue was outside the bakery's delivery range. When she arrived at the venue she was wearing a down coat on a 70 degree Seattle day because she'd had the AC cranked the whole drive to make sure the pies stayed as perfect as possible!
Finally, the actual day of coordination was *incredible.* Erika kept everything running on time (seriously, my most punctual friend told me she was impressed by how on-schedule our wedding was) and made our reception absolutely beautiful. We basically just handed Erika a basket of various decorations and said "we trust your eye so if you can find a good use for these go ham" and she KILLED IT. Everything was gorgeous, and she handled our day-of decoration string light drama like a champ. Our string lights ended up being too heavy for the holders we'd DIY'd (pro-tip: test your DIYs out before the day of the wedding). Erika and her team were able to come up with a flawless solution, and I only heard about it when my husband mentioned it to me during the reception. I don't know what else didn't go according to plan, but I'm sure Erika handled it flawlessly.
If you've made it this far, to reiterate - hire Erika. She is a dream to work with, and our wedding would not have been the same without her.
I don’t know where to begin. From the time I got engaged I knew I wanted to hire a planner. I’ve planned many events in my life, and know the stress that comes along so I wanted to make sure this planning process would be as smooth as possible. I have known Erika for a few years through a mutual friend, so I knew she would be my first choice. I AM SO GLAD SHE WAS MY FIRST CHOICE. Erika went absolutely above and beyond any expectation we had. She had been apart of this process since day one. We decided on a destination ceremony with a reception back home. Erika found us the most perfect Air BnB to perform our nuptials, she gave her honest opinions on my ideas, and together we created the most beautiful day I have ever seen. She was available when I needed her, she has the best taste and such a keen eye for detail. I just can’t recommend her enough. My husband and I have been going on and on since our wedding day about how great she is, and how we couldn’t have done any of this without her. I didn’t feel one lick of stress on the day of, as she took care of EVERYTHING. She was a friend through a mutual friend before, but after this year and a half of planning, I can honestly say she will be a friend of ours forever.
STOP whatever you are doing and HIRE Erika for whatever you are doing. I don't mean to exaggerate here, but Erika is LITERALLY the GREATEST wedding planner/florist/officiant/caterer/day of ceremony coordinator/MC/Queen of Weddings/personal encourager IN THE WORLD.
I don't even have the words to articulate how incredible the TGA team is. I will attempt to explain it in the upcoming novella, but if you don't want to read my essay, just know this: Erika and Ryan are the best decision you didn't (or did!!) know you needed.
We decided to get married outdoors, under pine trees, in Washington, in January. If we had a dollar for every person who told us that we were nuts, we would have enough money to have a second wedding (and if we did have a second wedding, we would hire Erika again and give her all of our money). At times, Erika (& our rad photographer), were the only human beings who not only accepted our wild idea, but ran with it and celebrated it.
We ultimately decided to have our wedding in an Airbnb cabin in the middle of the forest. While we adored the cabin, it presented many logistical challenges. Most importantly, we couldn't find anyone to cater our 60 person wedding in the middle of the woods. The few options we found would have consumed our entire wedding budget, and were simply not feasible. I resolved to do the food myself, but Erika intervened and became our de-facto caterer-- a service that she doesn't even offer. Because catering is not her speciality, we were just expecting some donuts in paper boxes and a quiche or two. BUT NO. Everything was beautifully presented and professionally handled-- honestly Erika and Ryan could make catering a full-time thing. We were completely blown away by they attention to detail, work ethic, and humor. My mom is a health inspector-- she literally critiques restaurants for their food handling safety-- and she was so impressed with Erika (and her use of gloves and hand washing)!!
Aside from the food, TGA's attention to detail blew us away. I didn't realize how many rentals it would take to make a wedding functional until I arrived at the venue to find it fully set up and beautiful. Who knew we needed tables?? Or tongs?? We can honestly say (and do often say) that our quirky wedding in the forest would be a giant clusterfluff if we didn't have Erika's expertise.
Also, Erika's florals were beautiful, and they made the cabin smell like joy. ALSO, while we were finishing up the last details the night before the wedding, Ryan serenaded us with his guitar and built a fire. Talk about a relaxing end to the day!
Ryan and Erika somehow ended up being the MC's for the wedding. I don't think they signed up for that task, but that's what happened. All day they rolled with the punches and had the best attitude.
I know that I probably didn't even see half of the work that Erika and Ryan put into our wedding behind the scenes. But we are so incredibly grateful to them. If I were to do it again, I would just give them all my money and let them run with it. The results are guaranteed to be nothing short of perfect.
We loved, loved, loved getting to work with and getting to know Erika and Ryan. They are so personable and friendly; this is way more than just a business for them.
Zach & I have spent the last two weeks since our wedding brainstorming how the heck we can work with Erika again without getting re-married! We cannot recommend them highly enough.
Where do I start? Erika was the hands down the reason why our wedding exceeded our expectations. I had initially planned a more traditional wedding until stumbling across her services while listening to a podcast. After one phone call with her I was sold. We changed gears, ditched the traditional stuff, and started planning a small elopement in the mountains.
She was open to any suggestions, offered so much helpful advice, put together a dream team of vendors to work with, and is just an absolutely great person. I had a concept of some colors and vague references of the style I liked and she just ran with it and brought everything to life perfectly. Give her the freedom to put together your vision and you won’t be disappointed! We are from Texas, living in DC, having our wedding in Washington state, so I was relieved to have her keep everything together.
She seriously goes way above and beyond ya’ll! I can’t express enough thanks to her for helping assemble such a special intimate wedding. THANK YOU GIRL!
We were in the middle of planning a small elopement on the Oregon Coast when I started to feel uneasy about planning so far away. I stumbled across TGA Weddings and was so impressed after my first conversation with Erika. My fiancé initially thought it was crazy to spend money on a planner for an elopement with 6 guests but I just knew after speaking with Erika that she was the perfect fit. She was so easy to talk to, had great ideas, and sent us information almost immediately after our call!
Through our planning process Erika was always there to bounce ideas off of and was up for anything – even the idea of hauling 6 chairs up a huge sand dune for a quick ceremony, just to make my vision come to life! Leading up to our elopement, Erika helped finalize all of the details including décor rental, vendor coordination, and timelines which saved us a lot of hassle. I cannot even begin to describe how much I appreciated Erika on the day of our wedding! We had a getting ready location change, a vendor running late, and the smoke affecting our ceremony views - she handled each calmly and quickly, eliminating any potential stress on us. She thought of the small details that didn't even cross my mind! She sent a text to remind me to hold my bouquet in the correct place right before walking down the aisle and had blankets for our guests.
Fast forward to after the wedding– my husband repeatedly said this was the best decision and money we spent. We both truly appreciated the hassle-free day and peace of mind. It was so nice to be able to decrease the number of vendors we were working with, without sacrificing one bit of quality. We can’t thank Erika enough, she is truly the best!
Erika was absolutely amazing on our day and we couldn't have done it without her. Even having worked in this industry, I wasn't fully convinced we needed a planner. I thought I could do it on my own but she proved again and again how much we needed her. There was so much we didn't think of and her expertise really showed in communication with our vendors and us throughout the process. She's attentive, quick to solve problems, and has an amazing eye for design and aesthetics. In short, HIRE ERIKA. She's the best.

Well let me just start by saying I planned on a do it my self wedding and half way through i realized hmmm, yeah no way am I doing this alone with all the obsticles and issues i was running into. AND then I found HER!!! and I had a few things I had already lined up on my own, so Erika was superrr accommodating to things I needed that were not exactly in her list of duties to sub into the things I already had done which was extremely helpful because I was so lost! my fiance at the time ( now husband) was on location in other countries working for 8 months so I was alone planning this whole thing before Erika, and when I found her... not only did we find out we had so much interesting things in common but we clicked right away and now I have officially kidnapper her as my forever friend! but on serious terms. She really did more than she needed to, she gave her 150% effort! Erika not only was 100% flexible, she was creative and had the mind and eye for knowing exactly what i wanted and i probably had one of the weirdest weddings around and mixed so many different things ( she probably thought I was crazy, maybe she still does haha) but non the less some how she magicaly made it all go together and work! She did all the decorating with the decor I traveled up with and just handed her in boxes and she worked so hard all morning with her Hubby to make everything look perfect and I had complete trust in her! honestly I had so many random things I brought her, like bones and dead snake specimens in alcohol water preserved ( she totally got my weird vision)I didnt even know my self how to make them all work together I only knew what was in my vision and somehow she could read my mind I think.... shes just that good! My wedding was perfect cause of her and she made everything less stressful and she was so helpful and I even felt bad having her work cause I just wanted her to have fun and enjoy the wedding too! I think I am out of space to write more but I just want to say that I would completely trust any wedding in Erikas hands, SHE IS REMARKABLE!!!!! I am so happy!
Erika was an absolute dream to work with. Given that we wanted a low key wedding, we figured we didn’t really need a coordinator or designer. To the contrary, it was by far the best money we spent. Erika thought of dozens of details we would have overlooked. I highly recommend her for low key couples who have a vague sense of what they want and want to outsource decision making. (Decisions have to be made, whether you have preferences or not :) ). She was flexible and easy going, always offering solid guidance.
Where we did have specific (and sometimes difficult) preferences, she always found a way to make it happen. She is also well connected in the industry and was able to get us a number of discounts.
She pulled together exactly the wedding we wanted, was completely unfazed by demanding family members, and managed every small detail with a smile. I could not recommend her more emphatically.
Erika is an absolute dream to work with! My now husband and I have very busy work lives and the idea of planning a wedding was very daunting. Erika was amazing. She helped us through every minute aspect. She did so much behind the scenes that I can't tell you how many times I though, "oh, what about this," only to realize she had already taken care of it. She navigated each and every aspect of our wedding, keeping us informed on everything happening. I really appreciated her attention to detail while keeping an eye on the big picture. She worked well with each of the vendors. I just cannot say enough about her. Unfortunately, I do not see myself hiring her again due to this line of work, haha, but I can confidently recommend her to any couple, whether they are looking for a wedding or elopement, domestic or abroad. Our small beach wedding in Costa Rica could NOT have been any better and I have Erika to thank for so much of it.

The Weaver Elopement
I cannot recommend Erika enough! My husband and I wanted to elope in a National Park in Washington and our photographers recommended talking with Erika about helping plan it. I thought they were crazy because I wasn't going to pay a wedding planner for a tiny, 7 person elopement. I was SO wrong. After talking with Erika I knew I needed her help. She tailored her service offerings to all my very specific needs for a great price and helped me make dream elopement an affordable reality- which I always thought I would have to compromise on due to budget. She recommended the perfect location (as she is very knowledgeable about PNW outdoor options), she helped me find the perfect dress and a makeup/hair artist, she did an incredible job with our flowers, prepared us with EVERYTHING we forgot, and was a really kind and helpful person to work with. Especially for those looking for an adventurous wedding/elopement, Erika is your girl!
I approached planning my wedding with so much anxiety and so many questions. I had a general idea of how I wanted to feel and look but no idea where to start. Having Erika support not only every logistical detail of planning our day but also the amazing design behind our colors, table layouts, mood and themes. Erika included me with thoughtful mood/design boards, design meeting, meeting with our florist and tons of calls and text for all the details until day of.
I didn’t have to spend any time researching vendors after understanding my vision for my day she sent me a customized list for every vendor needed and I was able to pick from their social media and websites- every vendor we had fit so perfectly and were genuinely so fun to be with on our day. We are still in awe of how beautiful and “us” our day was thanks to Erika. We were able to relax and enjoy the day with each other and our loved ones and not stress about any detail, Erika even has our food brought to us and truly took care of us in ways I would have never thought of but were so appreciated and needed that day.
Erika is down to earth and makes the task of planning a wedding manageable and approachable while behind the scenes being detail oriented and so creative. Erika- thank you thank you thank you for making the start of our marriage so beautiful and special. (We are still getting an unreal amount of compliments from all our guests :)
Erika is AMAZING! Planning our Washington wedding from Texas was slightly stressful, but Erika quickly put us at ease. She makes herself completely accessible to all of her clients with unlimited phone calls/emails, etc. Not to mention, the girl works round the clock- she would even respond to my emails from the top of Mt. Rainier! Erika has excellent style and pays close attention to detail, so I knew on the day of that everything would go off without a hitch. I didn't even see inside the reception venue until I walked in as they announced us- that is how much faith I had! From planning, to set up, to coordinating vendors and even to clean up, Erika took care of everything. Book her now for your wedding- you won't be disappointed!
I can't recommend Erika enough! I was not planning on getting a wedding coordinator, but after many recommendations we decided to hire Erika for day-of coordination - it was hands down, the best money we spent on anything for the entire wedding. Erika is 100% the difference between having a nice event that is somewhat to very stressful, to having the wedding of your dreams and allowing you to fully enjoy the entire day. There were apparently a few things that went wrong that I had no idea about (such as my tent being set up the wrong way before the ceremony), but she fixed everything before I even got wind of it and all I did was soak it all in and enjoy every moment.
I honestly could not think of a more perfect wedding and I owe it all to her warmth, eye to detail, professionalism, and overall just being so on top of it. Highly, highly recommend!
