The Greatful Dane Lodge was created with one goal in mind: to provide couples with a magical destination experience while being surrounded by friends, family, and nature's beauty. Once you step onto our venue overlooking the majestic Mt. Sunapee, you will find a private and peaceful place where beautiful memories will be created. From the 1863 Post and Beam Barn and the elegant "Blu Bar" to the manicured grounds to the magnificent granite seating areas and fire pit, our guests will experience the feeling of yesteryear but with all of the amenities of the present. You and your guests will enjoy free reign of the property from Friday - Sunday to visit and celebrate with your family and friends and explore the wonders of the Sunapee region. Included in your stay is the use of the Plateau overlooking the mountainside as your ceremony spot, private the use of the barn's "Grand Hall" for your welcome event, for your rehearsal dinner space, and the farewell brunch, and the run of the grounds for recreational activities or to simply relax and unwind. There are accommodations for up to 18 guests for lodging, and we have a list of preferred vendors, from tent rentals to florists to caterers to photographers, that will make your day perfect! We at the Greatful Dane are also huge dog lovers, as our name attests, and we are a pet-friendly venue! We want to invite our guests to experience the magic on "the Hill" for themselves and immerse themselves in the wondrous beauty surrounding our property.
