We got married at the Greenhouse at Highland Farm in September 2025 and are over the moon happy with our venue decision. From the moment we first toured it, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. The flowers throughout the property are stunning, and the natural beauty of the wildflower garden (ceremony space) captured our hearts instantly. The space elicits such a joyful and peaceful feeling. We ended up having a very rainy day, but that didn’t take anything away from the greenhouse’s charm. Our dream of getting married in the wildflower garden was luckily able to just barely come true, thanks to the greenhouse team being ready to pivot last minute if needed! The flexibility of this venue to become whatever you envision made the planning so much fun and so personal. We had access to the venue the day before and the day after, making setup and teardown easy and allowing plenty of time for it all. We were beyond thrilled with how it all came together. Jessica was so lovely to work with and answered our questions rapidly throughout the planning process. She provided a list of recommended vendors that proved incredibly helpful. We had such a fun time picking out our rental plants the week of the wedding with her. If we could do it all again, we’d choose the Greenhouse over and over. One of my favorite aspects of this venue is that we can go visit the farm moving forward and reminisce on how amazing our day there was. Thank you so much, Jessica, for sharing your family’s incredible farm and greenhouse with us and making our wedding day the most precious!

We are fully booked for our 2025 season and are currently booking for 2026! The Greenhouse at Highland Farm is a serene wedding venue located in Scarborough, ME. This unique destination merges the organic aesthetic of botanical design with acres of stunningly natural backdrops. The property comes to life from mid-June through to the end of October each year. Couples have the option of outside and inside event spaces to host their big day. The outdoor ceremony space is nestled in a beautiful wildflower field. Alternatively, The Greenhouse was created exclusively for wedding receptions and can host up to 150 people. Guests can revel in the event spaces’ beautiful surroundings that feature lush landscaped gardens, colorful flower beds, and attentively tended rows of vegetables and fruit trees. With nearly 2,200 square feet of space, it sits beneath a clear rooftop with two covered pergolas on either side. A bar service area can be found with both exterior and interior access for guests. Various items are available for use during your ceremony and reception including tables, chairs, and lawn games.

Joe & Christine Viscone

Owner

Joe and Christine are third generation owners of Highland Farm and The Greenhouse is their love story. They met on the farm over 20 years ago and were married in one of the working greenhouses in 2009. You'll usually find them somewhere on the property because they really love what they do. Over the last decade they have dedicated themselves to making people happy through experiences had on their property whether it be through gorgeous plants or beautiful weddings. Together, they built The Greenhouse for couples to have a unique and truly special place to celebrate the best day ever.

2 for a 2024 wedding, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to delay our wedding by a year. Jessica was so understanding and helped us reschedule for a weekend the in 2025 without any hassle. As for the venue, they provide a luxury bathroom trailer, a flower credit to utilize their baskets and planters to place around the venue. They provide circular tables and chairs at no additional cost. They allow you to access to the venue from 9am on Friday to 2pm on Sunday, giving you plenty of time for set up and clean up. There is also no need to book a dance floor, as the concrete floor is smooth and serves that purpose just fine! The bar is also fully functional and removes the need to rent a bar top as well. The staff and venue owners are just so amazing and you can tell they care about the couples they work with. Their venue is affordable and beautiful, leaving little need to spend money on a ton of decor. I will definitely be coming back to this review to post photos once they are published by the photographer, because I would love for couples to see just how amazing their wedding could be!

day of the wedding she was so communicative and on point with anything we needed. The Greenhouse is absolutely adorable, and doing the ceremony out in the field outside of the Greenhouse couldn't have been more perfect. Even with an insane rainstorm during the night, everyone had a blast and couldn't stop talking about how great this venue and the people working there are. If you are looking for a wedding venue, this is the place.

dding reception. Our October wedding got a little chilly towards the end of the reception and the heater and retractable walls were an absolute savior. All of the lighting and the curtain lights around the green space made decorating super simple. The girls at Highland farm were absolutely amazing with all of my 5 AM emails and last minute questions. I cannot recommend the Greenhouse enough.

pleased with our decision. Not only were the owners wonderful to work with, but they made sure we had everything we needed. They contacted vendors directly once we had established them all which was a huge help and gave us one less thing to worry about. We expected to have to have an indoor ceremony due to rain. We also had an exceptionally rainy morning at the venue, but it cleared up in the knick of time. Last minute, the venue owners moved the arbor, chairs, and florals to the wildflower space so we could have our ceremony outside which is what we had really wanted but didn’t think was possible due to weather. The little touches were also appreciated. The farmhouse had sweet signs and a basket of goodies for us. Christine knew I was overwhelmed and offered to plant and place beautiful floral rentals around the venue which came out beautifully. They also took care of all Covid specific things/forms/etc that were needed. We would chose to have our wedding at the greenhouse in a heartbeat. They helped make our wedding vision come to life.
