en I was looking at venues, I went to 17 different places in Georgia and nothing came close to Greystone. They built this place specifically to be a wedding venue and everything is planned perfectly. Every detail has been thought out. One of the things we found at a lot of barn-style venues was that they wanted guests to park their cars in the grass, often times right in front of the venue space! At Greystone, you actually pull down behind the venue, so once you're in front of the venue, you don't have anything to spoil your view. Another plus is that they actually have a very nice, large grooms suite for the guys! We went to so many venues that didn't have one, or expected 5-10 grown men to stay in a closet sized space. These are just two of the many thoughtful details things that makes them stand out above the rest! I work in the event industry, so I think about weddings little differently than most brides. At Greystone you can have a stunning interior and exterior event space WITHOUT compromising on logistics. We have enjoyed every minute of the planning process and we are so excited for our wedding day! Mary and Ashley were absolutely incredible in the days leading up to our wedding. As an event planner myself I was nervous about 'letting go', but they took care of EVERYTHING. Day of was an absolute dream and I didn't worry about anything AT ALL. The entire day was seamless. Their service, and attention to detail is unmatched! We had so many compliments from our guests on how gorgeous the venue was and how this was one of the best run weddings they have been too. Mary and Ashley, you both exceeded my expectations. Thank you for letting me step away and enjoy being a bride for the day!

Our coordinator, Ashley, was a big part of planning this day and I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with - her knowledge, taste, and experience were show cased that night. Myself, as the bride having picked everything from decor to florals, when I walked in, even I was speechless how beautifully presented everything was. Mary and her staff went above and beyond all night long. Our guests are still talking about the night and how wonderful the venue was along with how Rockstar the staff was. s perfect! Our wedding coordinator, Christie, was amazing! My daughter Caitlin, who was the bride, could text her any time with questions and Christie would respond quickly! They truly cared about every little detail of her special day and made sure everything was perfect. We also love this venue because it is an outdoor/indoor venue that is elegant! Caitlin wanted an outdoor elegant wedding with gorgeous scenery and that is exactly what Greystone is! It is truly breathtaking there! We could not say enough about how perfect our entire experience has been! My recommendation is listen to their awesome advice and use the vendors they recommend and you will have the perfect Cinderella day just like our daughter did!

ake your day absolutely perfect. There are so many beautiful photo locations and the outdoor ceremony site has stunning views. The reception space is also breathtaking. Our guests complimented us on the venue all night. I also love each of the preferred vendors that we chose, they know the venue so well and that ensured we had no late vendors and everything went as planned. Mary and Elizabeth made us feel so special on our big day, and made sure we had everything that we needed. We are also a COVID wedding and they made rescheduling so easy! Another thing brides will love is the bridal cottage and suite. They are stunning and decorated to perfection! I could not imagine getting married anywhere else. The Greystone Estate is absolutely perfect!

Our planner Hannah was amazing as well. She really paid attention to every little detail and was so calm and kind throughout the planning process. Even with the changes we had to make due to Covid, Mary, Hannah and our vendors were flexible and went out of their way to make our guests feel comfortable and our wedding absolutely perfect. My bridesmaids loved getting ready in the spacious and beautifully decorated bridal cottage and bridal suite. My fiancé and I could go on and on forever about how much we loved our wedding at the Greystone Estate! We highly recommend it to all future brides and grooms, you will have the best experience of your life!

Let me begin by stating, I’m not your typical bride, and i didn’t always dream of my wedding day. I had no idea what I wanted or what I was looking for until I came across Greystone Estate. When we toured the venue (after looking at several others), we instantly knew this was where our life together would begin. The owner is the sweetest person I have came across. She has a passion for love and weddings like I’ve never seen, Greystone is her baby. Never once did I feel like just another bride. She knows exactly what she’s doing. I will say, because of how amazing they are, they book our far in advance- so schedule and tour NOW!! We waited over a year for our day and the entire process was a dream. I had absolutely ZERO stress from the day of booking to the day of the wedding, and I would give all credit to their on site coordinator, Elizabeth! If you’re lucky enough to get her, you’ll know. She was there for things I didn’t even know I needed her for! For a girl that never dreamed of her wedding, it was truly better than dreams can make happen. It is the most beautiful venue that comes with so much in your package- wedding planning was a breeze for me! They grounds are everything about the property are always maintained and they’re always looking for new ideas and ways to make the venue even better. But to me, the most important thing was the communication. From the owner to my planner- communication was always above 100%. There is not a better venue around!!!

nothing short of perfect. From the moment we set foot on The Greystone Estate property for our venue tour, we knew we had to get married there! The property is immaculate and the husband and wife owners are so welcoming, honest, hardworking and committed to their business! If you get married at Greystone, I highly recommend choosing from Mary's (the owner) list of "preferred vendors." Every vendor I chose, photo/video, caterer, DJ, shuttle service, flowers, etc. came from her list of preferred vendors and every single one of them blew me away with their professionalism, talent and true passion for being involved in our wedding day. Another perk of getting married at Greystone is that you will be assigned a wedding planner who will begin helping coordinate things once you've chosen your vendors, and who will be there day of to help set up and make sure everything runs smoothly. Our planner was Elizabeth and she was incredible. I mean it when I say there is not ONE thing about the day that went wrong, or that I wish would have gone differently. Aside from the beautiful bridal suite(s) - yes there is more than one, grooms room, and venue, the landscape and view from this place is what truly puts this venue over the top. The rolling hills of GA will be the landscape for your ceremony, should you choose to get married outside. I had shown my family pictures of the venue prior to our wedding day, but everyone was truly blown away by the view once they saw it in person. If we could get married at Greystone over and over again we would! It was truly the best day and we owe it all to Mary and her amazing team and incredible group of preferred vendors. 10/10 recommend The Greystone Estate if you are looking for the perfect wedding venue!

lved is the only one who was not able to reschedule. I got married here in 2017 and Mary seriously was so accommodating and generous! My mom brought a check that morning to use a few last minute decorations and she turned it down. I don’t know the whole story either, but I do know Mary and I know she is not scamming anyone. COVID has put every single wedding venue and bride in a difficult spot. Brides, please do not let these reviews sway you from working with Mary at Greystone!!!

ay was beautiful, I can’t say the same for the experience prior to our DAY. If I could relive the day, minus a few things, I surely would. If I could go back in time, would I re-book at TGE? Probably not. The venue is beautiful. However, the cost and overall TGE experience was not worth it. Would I recommend TGE to others? I would despite my experience. Again, the venue is beautiful and perhaps and hopefully the experience of other brides would be better than mine. I think I speak for all brides when I say, you not only want a great wedding day, but you also want the whole experience to be great as well. Two points of advice: #1. Make sure you have a guest count of at least 100. The basic packages are for 100 guests. Less than 100 you will still pay for 100 guest, which means you will be wasting hard earned money. More than 100 guests than you will pay more, which is understandable. #2. HAVE EVERYTHING IN WRITING! Follow-up phone and/or face-to-face conversations with an email. HAVE EVERYTHING IN WRITING! the first time we saw it. The outside setting is truly stunning and the inside is simply elegant. The Bridal Cottage was a great addition to the venue and all the bridesmaids loved it! We had so many compliments from all our guests during the evening and after the event. The best thing about this venue was that they were able to give us a high quality list of wonderful vendors that have worked at The Greystone Estate on a regular basis. We really think that having vendors that are familiar with this venue and Mary makes a big difference. The wedding coordinator that was assigned to us was AMAZING! A big shout out to Ashley Polite from wineyblondeevents.com for all of her attention to detail and organizational skills. She always answered every email I sent (there were many as this was our first wedding!). We highly recommend The Greystone Estate to any future Bride and Groom looking for a breathtaking and high quality location to tie the knot. Thank you for all the beautiful memories.

ough your wedding will not only be affordable but also an attainable feat. I was however, disappointed with the level of communication provided to me as a bride in regards to policy changes throughout my year engagement. I planned every wedding detail early out. I kept a 4 inch binder of all contracts, emails, etc. My advice to you, KEEP EVERYTHING IN WRITING! THE BACK UP RAIN PLAN. The flipping of the room that Mary insisted in the beginning was so simple was in fact not flipping the room at all. She tried to convince me that walking through round tables instead of an aisle would still feel like the wedding I had dreamed of my whole life. If Mary was not willing to flip the room in its entirety as she had previously led me to believe, I wanted a tent. Mary eventually/reluctantly agreed. OUR EXIT: In our initial meetings a mandatory exit time was never discussed and I was led to believe I had the venue until 11PM. My wedding was on a Friday, so we planned to start the ceremony at 6PM. At a later meeting, Mary informed me that all events had to be over by 10PM. This was news to me, but we reluctantly bumped the wedding up an hour (thankfully I hadn’t already printed my invitations!). I then booked our helicopter for a 10PM take off. Mary’s initial reason for having helicopter exits early was due to “noise ordinances”, however, I called the local county office and confirmed the law stated 12PM. She then blamed it on her neighbors complaints. She seemed more concerned with her neighbor’s negative opinions than with disappointing a bride. After a venue meeting, I got an email stating that the rules had changed again. Imagine my frustration at this point. We are 57 DAYS OUT from my wedding, invitations have already been mailed, and I am just now learning that if I want to leave by helicopter (my plan from the beginning, and had already booked/paid for it), I would have to leave my wedding at 9:30 PM. It felt as if I was being pushed out of my own wedding early so that Mary could move on and begin to prepare for the next day & the next wedding. THE DJ we decided on was based upon Mary's recommendation. Roughly 50 days out from my wedding I got a call from my DJ saying that Mary would not let him on the property anymore due to "noise issues". I HAD NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM MARY! I had my vendors booked early in 2017 and Mary was given this list at our very first meeting. Later Mary told me there were "liability concerns". After I questioned why I had not been informed earlier, she told me that she does not review a bride’s vendor list until 30 days out from the wedding! If there is an issue with a vendor, how on earth are you to find a replacement in 30 days? The lack of communication was unbelievable. Mary did eventually honor my contract and allow me to have the DJ- and he was AMAZING! The common theme here is that all this frustration could have been avoided if expectations were set accordingly from the beginning and lines of communication were continued throughout the process as policies changed. There was so much unnecessary stress brought on due to these changes. All in all, my wedding was beautiful and I don’t regret getting married there. Brides, you just need to be on top of the details, get everything in writing, and stand up for what your vision is.

re we were blown away by the beautiful setting and backdrop in the rolling hills of Ball Ground, GA. My husband and I knew we wanted to incorporate the outdoors in our wedding ceremony and after reviewing TGE via the web it seemed like a great match. After seeing the TGE in-person all we can say is “WOW!” Our scheduled visit with TGE owner, Mary, was amazing. After our in-depth tour and Q&A with Mary we knew immediately it was the perfect venue for our wedding – so much so that our next stop was to the bank and post office to mail in our (very reasonable) security deposit the same day. Mary is extremely organized and thorough. We could tell immediately that she has a passion for love and weddings and takes so much pride in being able to provide for a couple on their wedding day. She and her very supportive husband clearly have a strong vision for their business and wedding venue. They both strive to provide the best experience possible for their clients. Throughout the planning process (approximately 10 months) my husband and I were in contact with Mary regularly via email or phone. At no point in time did we feel un-important or undervalued. Mary is clearly busy with many other wedding couples but, that being said, always took the time (even during her vacation) to return our emails and phone calls promptly and with sincerity. We always felt like we were high on her priority list even if our wedding was months away. By the time our day had finally arrived we trusted her so much any stress or worry we had was gone – we knew she would deliver. Side note: she also uses the cutest emojis ever! We are so happy that we chose The Greystone Estate to host our wedding and we give them our warmest recommendation. Thank you so much, Mary!

sit I knew Mary and I would work well together because she was just as organized! We were given a packet with preferred vendors, a checklist, and so much more. The "rules" at this venue were flexible and we were only required to use one of their caterers and DJs - other than that every vendor we chose was up to us! This was so great because sticking to our budget was very important! We ended up using Marc + Anna (photography), Center Cut (catering), A Delicate Petal (florist), Confection Perfection (bakery), Winey Blonde (wedding planner) and MSA Entertainment (DJ) from their vendor list and every experience was beyond wonderful! They all provided excellent service, were flexible, and well organized throughout the entire process. So many friends and family were asking if my fiancé and I were stressed during our wedding planning time and it was such a relief to always be able to answer (honestly) that question with a "no". The best part of this venue for me was that Mary had nearly everything we needed and her team along with our florist and wedding planners ensured everything was put together. Allowing my friends and family to enjoy our day vs. having to set up and such. The bridal room was amazing and it allowed me to have time with my sisters and friends to get ready and truly just relax! Mary and our vendors made wedding planning a breeze. We truly felt that our wedding day was all we dreamed about and more! My husband and I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a simple, elegant, and gorgeous venue with the best views.
