I, Hector Sanchez, founder of The Grill Sergeant Food Truck, a catering company in San Gabriel, CA, that specializes in weddings and other special events, discovered my love for cooking at a very young age. Growing up, I spent countless hours in the kitchen with my father, Hector Sr., helping prepare food for family reunions and backyard BBQs. Those early moments sparked a lifelong passion for bringing people together through great food.
Cooking has always been more than just preparing meals—it’s about experimenting with flavors, mixing spices, and creating dishes that make people smile. After years of dreaming about running my own kitchen, that dream finally became a reality when I purchased a food truck and launched The Grill Sergeant.
Today, the truck is truly a family operation. I work side by side with his daughter, Christina, my son, Alex, my niece, Ari, and my son and daughter-in-law, creating a welcoming atmosphere and serving food made with pride, passion, and family tradition.
