I was really disappointed in this vendor. I had taken the time to mark next to each of their songs if we liked it or didn't. I sent this list to the band and they seemed to do no...
thing with it because they started to play the cupid shuffle during the wedding. This was the song I wrote "absolutely do not play" (or something along those lines) next to it. I was just so incredibly frustrated that they did not listen to me and had such bad taste to even play this song. I also had filled out the questionnaire they asked me to and put "stop the father/daughter song at X time" because I didn't want them to play the part in the song about the guy not ever being good enough. During the wedding, they played the ENTIRE song. Just another incident of them not listening to me. They also had the list of songs we liked wrong because they said that Get Lucky was on our requested list and it was not.
Overall, I'm just incredibly floored that you could pay so much money for someone to not listen to you. I hope that brides read this and listen to me when I suggest you book another band.

night and they played the perfect mix of music for all age ranges. Ron is the best and so easy to work with. He was in communication with us often prior to our wedding to ensure we were on the same page about everything. We are beyond happy with how our wedding entertainment turned out and are so glad we hired The Grooves!

y pays attention to every request, as he played all of the song we requested at our reception!! We got so many compliments on the band and they were so well deserved. The Grooves put on the best show and we could not be more thankful!! They kept the party going all night!! I truly wished that our wedding would never end because of Ron and the Grooves. Ron MC'ed and provided the sound for our ceremony, as well- all of which went on without a hitch! Ron was so well prepared and his band is the best of the best. If I have another event in the future, Ron will be the first call I make!!

No sales pitch, no stupid stuff, just a wonderful group of enthusiastic expert musicians celebrating life as though they were playing for dear family members. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR A GREAT EVENING! We are already planning our next big party with y'all as our musicians.

us by coming down from the stage onto the dance floor to play the Second Line. They nailed every genre of music, from love ballads during dinner to country and hip hop as the night went on. The dance floor was packed the entire night. All of our guests said over and over again how awesome the band was and we couldn't have been happier with them. Ron was also extremely accommodating during the booking process. Highly recommend!

ith, arrived on time, had everything set up early, tore down and cleaned up after themselves - which helped me save time focusing on other aspects of the wedding day! If you need a vendor that will bring 120% to the stage (the crowd was WILD while they played - the energy was electric) and respond promptly, then you should definitely book The Grooves! I look forward to recommending them to clients and working with them again soon

and have a good time! We made sure we told them we wanted crowd interaction and a lot of high energy songs. They even learned a favorite song of the grooms to play (Callin' Baton Rouge - Garth Brooks) we only asked them to play it on a break and come back with Sweet Home Alabama after and they surprised us by playing it live! Such a great surprise for the night!

n that The Grooves offered so I decided to inquire about their pricing and availability. From the very first email, Ron was excellent at communication! I was impressed with The Grooves before my wedding reception - excellent communication, reasonable price, diverse playlist.
At my reception, they kept the dance floor PACKED the entire night! Very engaging, played to the crowd, terrific dinner set (that my family/guests danced to as well!).....I didn't want the reception to end!
I can't encourage you enough to consider The Grooves for your wedding - you will not be disappointed!
We hired the Grooves after seeing them perform at a friend's wedding. They did a fantastic job and kept everyone engaged during their 6 hour performance at our wedding. My favorit...
e thing about working with Ron was his professionalism. If you are looking for a band, you might not be thinking that this is an important factor, but leading up to the wedding, it made a huge difference for me. Ron sent an email every time he received a payment confirming receipt and updating our new balance. Three weeks from the date of the event, he sent a brief confirmation sheet pertaining to our schedule of events. In addition, I provided him with an extensive script and schedule which they did a great job of following the night of. The band sounded great and we received many compliments on how much fun they were from guests. Great job THE GROOVES!
We planned our Austin wedding from overseas and selected the Grooves based on viewing You Tube videos. We weren't sure what we were going to get. I couldn't of been happier with ...
them. They had all of our guests dancing the entire night. The only time our guests sat down was during the bands breaks. I would highly recommend them.
Also, we used Russell the guitarist to sing during our ceremony and reception hour. He was amazing and made the day even more special.
The Grooves played at Barr Mansion in Austin for my daughter's wedding and everyone loved them. They were the perfect band for our event.
The Grooves are awesome! They were recommended by our wedding planner and I am so glad we chose them! We had a small space (outside at Ocho) and they were totally willing to work...
with us. They were very accommodating regarding special songs we wanted played for the first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, etc. The band members were very kind and courteous to our guests and they were very easy to work with. The dance floor was packed all night! I loved the songs which they chose! They really made our reception and kept the energy level high all night!
The Grooves were a very fun band and were able to adapt the music based on the people on the dance floor.
My husband and I wanted a party atmosphere all night. Since we had a buffet stlye dinner, we wanted our guests to be comfortable on the dance floor from the moment they walked insi...
de. Therefore we didn't want the normal slow, peaceful "dinner" music. The Grooves did just that after reminding them we didn't want slower music played that much. I think they took that to heart and the day after the wedding, we realized they didn't play 1 single slower song for couples to dance to. It was not a big deal because our guests loved the band and did dance the night away.
The band is very talented and play a wide variety of music. They specialize in dance music and are great at keeping everyone on the dance floor. They didn't follow our timeline as ...
I expected and also didn't say hello to me during the reception. They dress perfectly and clearly have a lot of experience performing in this type of setting.
