The chapel was absolutely perfect for our day! We got ready at our venue, but the bridesmaids got to wait before the ceremony in one of their beautiful sitting rooms--which was great for photos! Our day-of coordinator, Julianna, was wonderful! She has been doing weddings at the Academy for over 20 years and made sure our ceremony went flawlessly! We are so glad we chose the Academy Chapel for our ceremony!

The Academy Chapel was beautiful! The Wedding Coordinator, Pam Kohlitz was so easy to work with and made everyone feel so comfortable. She is a pro and definitely knows what she's doing! Sue Martin was also great at helping us every step of the way in order to make our big day go smoothly. They were both terrific and I highly recommend getting married here. Let's not forget the photos -both inside and outside were breath taking especially with all the greenery around the building.

They never answer the phone, return calls or respond to emails. Finally got an appt to come in and place a deposit and no one was there for it. Won't be risking my wedding day on this place.

Everyone thought our ceremony location was beautiful. It's a little small (up to about 160) but the pictures turned out great!

Everything about the Grosse Pointe Academy is beautiful! We had an outdoor ceremony and reception at the Academy. Our guests had a great time and loved wandering the grounds. The views of Lake Saint Clair and the old architecture of the Academy was perfect for our special day. If you are Catholic you can have your ceremony in the chapel which is breathtaking. If you choose to have your reception outdoors you have to use TM Catering which I found to be the downside of this venue. TM Catering was a little difficult for me to work with and were expensive. Working with Sue at the Academy made the process easy though and we wouldn't have had our wedding anywhere else. It really was the perfect location for us!

Our wedding ceremony at the Grosse Pointe Academy was absolutely beautiful! The buildings are amazing, and you can beat the view of the water! We got married on their front lawn overlooking Lake St. Clair. It was breathtaking :) There were a lot of great places to take pictures after the ceremony too. The staff-especially Sue Martin, was very helpful.

My ceremony at Grosse Pointe Academy chapel was absolutely beautiful! The woman who organized our ceremony was great. Everything went very smoothly. The only complaint I have is that we felt a little rushed taking pictures with our families after the ceremony, and there were fishflies all over the building for our outdoor pics. It would have been nice if they had hosed off the building in the morning.

It was beautiful. The staff were terrific. Even though we were only scheduled to be in the chapel for 2 hours, we were able to take pictures outside before and after the wedding. Their advice was great and I found them very easy to work with. It was the perfect size for my wedding (~160 guests). We did not decorate the chapel at all and I found that to be perfect for me. It was no additional cost and no additional time. I believe that they only do Catholic ceremonies and you have to provide the priest. But they provide a really great wedding coordinator who absolutely knows what she's talking about.

This chapel is absolutely stunning. You do have to bring your own priest in to perform your ceremony (it is a catholic church).
