The Grove Redfield Estate

The Redfield Estate was BEYOND anything I imagined for my wedding. This venue is so unique! We used the gazebo for the ceremony, and the pavillion for reception. The pathway lamps, flowers, and bistro lights create such a romantic setting for memories and photos. Deborah and team are a joy to work with, everyone was so kind and detail oriented. Highly recommend!

We had out wedding at The Grove Redfield Estate this past week. To say that we fell in love with the location is an understatement. The pride that the staff at the Grove take in thier grounds is noticable. It is clear that they love it too! The grounds are truly magical. Our guests all said that they felt transported to a different place and time. We are still glowing from the experience!

Everything about this location is beautiful. The staff were excellent and everything was perfect. This outdoor venue is mind blowing with amazing natural backgrounds for photos everywhere you turn. The twinkle lights in the tress were a delightful surprise when it got dark.

The Grove Redfield Estate is such a beautiful venue. Our guests enjoyed exploring the picturesque grounds. All the staff members we worked with were very responsive and helpful! Char, the venue supervisor was very helpful on the day of the wedding. We cannot express how polite, friendly, and easygoing she was! Char definitely calmed our nerves before the ceremony. We were planning to do the ceremony outside, but then at the last minute, it started to rain. So the staff at the Grove set up chairs very quickly inside before guests arrived. They turned a stressful moment into a non-issue. We were happy with the indoor ceremony, because the house is very beautiful too. Our reception was in the pavilion. It was perfect for our 55 guests. With 7 tables for guests, the pavilion appeared to be full. Everyone had to room to move around, but it didn’t look empty at all.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at The Grove Redfield Estate. We cannot describe in words how beautiful and well-kept the venue is. Our point of contact, Deborah, kept in touch with us to ensure that we were getting to her all the vendors to ensure that they are insured and able to do their job at this location, which does ensure a fun and safe night for all. The venue itself is affordable and comes with plenty of amenities, such as tables and chairs, fans, lighting, use of the historic home, etc. It can get pricey depending on which of their preferred caterers to go with; however, the caterers do know how to work this venue and do an awesome job of it. This is made pretty clear when we toured the grounds for our wedding reception. We chose The Grove because we were really able to customize our wedding reception experience, such as having amazing caterers, do a build your own bar, have a photobooth, etc. Our families and friends cannot stop commenting on how much of a good time they had. Thank you so much again!

We had our wedding at the Redfield Estate in August of 2023 and we could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out. The estate was beautifully manicured and everything was exactly as expected. From the day we signed our contract through the day of our event the communication from the venue manager, Deborah, to all our other vendors was seamless. I would highly recommend the Redfield Estate as a venue for weddings or any other event.

Our day in August of this year, was amazing. Our guests still talk about the wedding and how beautiful the venue was. Deborah was amazing. She gave us such great recommendations and very communicative on the process. We have definitely recommended this venue to friends and family. As this is a hidden gem and am so happy we found it for our special day.

The Redfield Estate was the perfect venue for our wedding. We never even considered any other location to host our special day! Picturesque views from all angles, it provided the perfect backdrop. The house is beautiful, with ample accommodations for the bridal party, bar, dessert buffet, and even our traveling poet! The pavilion had more than enough space for our needs, and the grounds were the right mix of curated and natural. We even had a deer photobomb us! The staff was very nice and helpful before, during, and after the event.

We had a last minute venue change for our wedding and Deborah made us feel like we were in good hands in a moment that was very stressful for us. She was always there when we needed her! The venue is beautiful!!! We loved how everything turned out!!

As soon as we took a tour of the grounds at Redfield Estate, we knew it was the right place for our small, intimate wedding. You have to visit this place. It has all the beauty and charm while being affordable and conveniently located for those who live in the Chicagoland area, so basically the perfect wedding venue! And it absolutely works for small or large weddings. Nearly every time we mentioned Redfield Estate to someone when they asked about our wedding planning, they or someone they knew had attended an event there, and they would rave about how wonderful it is. Our photographer fell in love the moment she arrived. There are so many great photo opportunities. The beautiful craftsman home has the sweetest vintage-feeling rooms -- we loved all the pieces of history -- and the surrounding landscape is lovely. We chose to get married under the giant old oak tree on the front lawn and then gathered with family in the airy pavilion. It was perfect weather for a June day, but I honestly imagine Redfield Estate being a gorgeous, charming experience in any weather or season. The staff members are all so kind and incredibly helpful. Deborah, Lizzie, and Paul made us feel so welcome, supported, and taken care of on our wedding day and in the planning stages. If I ever had another event to plan or was recommending a venue to a friend, this would be the first place I think of!

I'm a wedding planner, and The Grove Redfield Estate is an absolutely wonderful venue. Special shoutout to Paul who was onsite with us all evening to make sure that everything went off perfectly. The ceremony space is after a short path through the woods, and guests enjoyed seeing deer all during sunset!

This was the perfect venue for our brunch wedding/garden party. Definitely one to consider whether you’re doing a day or night event. The staff were very accommodating and flexible with us. Only catch is the venue space is cheap but you have to use their preferred caters which make up for that cost. That said, only thing cheaper is a restaurant or brewery.

We had such an incredible experience at the Grove Redfield Estate for our wedding, I can't imagine having our big day anywhere else. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and the vendors they recommended were superb. We were able to make use of so much space by having our ceremony at the gazebo, cocktail hour outside the estate, and reception under the pavilion. We loved that the setting was already so naturally beautiful and our guests raved about this unique and lovely venue, highly recommend!

This was the only venue I saw and was immediately certain I had found the perfect place for my wedding. Deb quickly became a friend— she’s professional, provides planning guidance, and ensures your day goes perfectly. There is a hotel right across the street (the renaissance hotel Glenview ) that is so nice! It’s perfect for out of town guests. They even provide free shuttle service to the grove if you have a certain number of guests book there! They also handed out welcome bags that I created for my guests. I also held a welcome reception the day before my wedding. The Grove is absolutely beautiful. I love that the pavilion is covered and is a sturdy structure. I also love that we had access to the house. We had a plan b in case it rained, and I felt confident that my vendors could pivot if weather became an issue. Luckily the weather was perfect! It got chilly at night, but we ended up using the venue fireplace and heaters. It was so beautiful — the fireplace added another unique element to the reception. We chose vendors that were recommended by the grove and they were all incredible. The food was amazing and the catering team was A++++. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. The natural beauty of the grove gave us so many options for photos. We didn’t need much decor because of how gorgeous the venue is. I couldn’t recommend a better place to get married— It’s so convenient and is perfect for an intimate fairytale wedding. I rented the grove for the entire day, which was a little more pricey but totally worth it for the getting ready photos.

We knew pretty soon after our first visit that we wanted to book Redfield as our wedding venue. The venue is so vibrant and lush in the summer months, and we really didn’t need a ton of florals because the venue itself is so pretty. We liked that there were a lot of different ways to use the space between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It was also nice not to worry too much about the weather, since we could easily move inside if it rained (it fortunately did not!). Deborah is so organized and on top of all of the details, too. We felt very confident working with her and the day went incredibly smoothly. We highly recommend Redfield if you’re looking for a stunning outdoor venue!

The Grove is a stunning outdoor venue! There are a lot of great places for photos, including outside the house, by the giant tree, and the gazebo. The pavilion was the perfect place for dinner and dancing, and we were thrilled we were able to celebrate there. They also have a giant fireplace, which was the perfect addition to a great night. The staff was very responsive and helpful regarding our big day. They checked in with us in a timely manner and wished us well on our big day. We were thrilled with the venue and are very happy we chose it.

All our guests loved the venue! We changed locations the day before from the gazebo to the pavilion due to weather, and then went inside the house for pictures. Deborah was amazing! It was really obvious how much she loved the grounds as she gave several tours to our family and vendors. There's a beautiful mourning dove's nest outside the window of the groom's dressing room that lightened the mood just before the big event. It was classy, authentic, and everything we hoped for!

Honestly, the entire process was seamless with the venue and venue manager. From ease of scheduling tours/walkthroughs to the day of event team: every single member of this venue's team were amazing. The grounds are gorgeous, the price was absolutely reasonable, the estate itself immaculate. I couldn't have had a better experience in planning our wedding or a better wedding day. I'm seriously grateful to the entire team and especially Deborah, the venue manager.

We had an exceptional experience planning our wedding reception at The Grove’s Redfield Estate. The Grove is maintained, operated, and publicly owned by the Glenview Park District. For this reason, venue rental rates at Redfield Estate are an unbelievable bargain. Redfield Estate can be booked to host celebrations in the morning, afternoon, or evening for quite literally a fraction of the cost of a ballroom or golf course reception venue. Despite the unbeatable price point, Redfield Estate is anything but “cheap” when it comes to quality and aesthetics. Whether you envision the luxury of a high-society wedding reception or simply want to host a semi-casual family reunion; this venue possesses the versatility to make your dream a reality. Our booking afforded us access to an absolutely enormous space that included: an architecturally stunning historic home, a multipurpose outdoor pavilion, a carriage house full of hosting amenities (e.g. tables, chairs, industrial refrigeration), and a beautiful lawn gazebo which is popular for outdoor wedding ceremonies. The natural beauty, expansiveness, and practical accommodations available make Redfield Estate a true "one-of-a-kind" option for an experience you will never forget. Lastly, the property is exceptionally well managed and has built up a reservoir of trusted artisan vendors. Redfield Estate actively manages a concise list of preferred partners that make it a breeze to find the best local: caterers, DJs, florists, photographers, and more. The property manager who assisted us with our wedding reception (Deborah Rabeor) seemed to have a close working relationship with each organization on Redfield Estates’ list of preferred vendors. These preexisting professional relationships greatly simplified coordination efforts on our end and made for streamlined collaboration on the day of our event.

We highly recommend Redfield Estate at the Grove (in Glenview IL) as a wedding and reception venue, for several reasons. (1) The site is beautiful. The stately house, pavilion, gazebo, and surrounding grounds invite leisurely walks, conversation, and celebration. (2) The staff, starting with manager Deborah Rabeor, but extending to every employee we met, is very responsive and helpful. On Sunday September 11, for instance, when our daughter was married at Redfield, the Chicago area was hit with an all-day, record-setting downpour. Deborah “just put on my jeans,” as she told us, and came to the venue on her day off, to make sure everything was proceeding as normally as possible. (3) The price is right. The “bang for your buck” travels a long way at Redfield, compared with other venues. We felt our money was well-spent. (4) The list of Redfield’s recommended vendors – in particular, floristry and catering – met and even exceeded our expectations. We used Bella Rue (catering), Toast & Jam (DJ), Oak Mill Bakery (cake), and Hlavacek (florist). In sum, we are certain you will be pleased with Redfield Estate and its talented, hardworking staff.

We chose The Redfield Estate because of its historical charm and beauty. It also has a spacious pavilion, huge lawn, and charming house where we were able to host all aspects of our wedding prep, ceremony, and reception. The staff were super helpful, friendly, and made our day amazing!

The staff here were great to work with, and the place itself was amazing! We were given access to the grounds and the estate, so it was nice to be able to plan for an outdoor wedding, and have an indoor space to get ready, as well as a quick backup plan if the weather didn't cooperate. We got so many compliments from our guests about this gorgeous venue. The whole day felt like a fairy tail, from getting ready at the gorgeous estate to sipping drinks on the patio, to dancing the night away in the pavilion, we had the perfect day. Deborah at The Grove is great to work with. She's clear about details, responds in a timely manner, and never leaves a loose end. Because this venue is through the parks project, there are a just a few more hoops to jump through than some other venues, but I wouldn't have wanted our wedding anywhere else. We had the perfect day.

This venue is amazing. It’s remarkably affordable for what you get. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous in the spring and summer—we barely did any decorating because the space itself was all lush green, colorful flowers, and lights strung between the trees. At least 75% of our guests came to us to gush over how beautiful the venue was and ask “How did you find this place?!” A few deer even strode by during cocktail hour and some of our guests thought perhaps we’d arranged for them to make an appearance! Just a naturally stunning place all around. Deborah was friendly, helpful, and very easy to work with. We highly recommend The Grove!

It's almost a week since our wedding at Grove Redfield Estate. The calls are still coming in from all of our guests, raving about the beauty of the venue. From the very beginning, Deborah Rabeor was a delight when touring us around the property and discussing all the outdoor options available for our special day. The weather was perfect and the grounds were a wash of gorgeous shades of green dotted with the may floral plantings. The statuary became a wonderful backdrop to all of our photos. The Grove Redfield Estate was the perfect venue for my daughter Hannah's wedding. Deborah, the manager, was so helpful. Knowing the likelihood of rain, she helped ensure the ceremony moved from the lawn into the pavilion; the change from ceremony to dinner and dancing in the pavilion appeared seamless after we had our cocktail hour in the house. Beautiful setting for a magical evening!

All of our guests were impressed with Redfield Estate, Pavillion and the surroundings. We found Deborah and the staff to be extremely helpful and flexible when we had to change dates. Beautiful place to have a wedding , reception or party.

We had our wedding at Redfield Estate in September 2021, and it was the best wedding decision we could have made. We had 80 guests in the outdoor pavilion, and it was perfect! The photos online do not do this venue justice. We were so impressed by how clean and maintained the grounds were, as well as the wonderful and friendly staff. We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful everything was. This venue truly made our fall brunch wedding unique and memorable.

There was some initial confusion regarding our wedding date, but we loved the venue so much that we decided to push our wedding back a week so that we could have it here. It was absolutely the right decision. This venue is like a setting from a fairy tale, and was perfect for what we had in mind for our day. A few things went wrong (like they moved the chairs from where we wanted them to the other side of the gazebo an hour before the wedding and no one noticed until the guests were already seated), but it all ended up working out and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We made the perfect choice in selecting The Grove Redfield Estate for our wedding ceremony. Due to the time of year (October), we elected to hold our ceremony inside the estate, in the great room with large picture windows, balcony, and fireplace. It was an incredibly beautiful setting for our ceremony. There are so many gorgeous spots for photos, both inside and outside on the grounds, and we were able to take advantage of all of them with our photographer. Deborah from Redfield Estate was a total pleasure to work with, and she made planning for our ceremony fun and easy. She accommodated all of our requests, and even made helpful suggestions about the many aspects of the ceremony planning that we were unsure about. 100% recommended!

The Grove Redfield Estate was a dreamy, fairy-tale like setting for our October 9th wedding. We could not have asked for a more perfect day, and the staff and vendors were all wonderful. Everyone kept on gushing over how beautiful the venue was. We chose to have a ceremony outdoors under the gazebo, and the reception in the pavilion. We were so thrilled to have our wedding at the Grove. Having lived nearby when we met, it was a special place to us. It is a beautiful venue, with so many options for using the property for the party, and has so many spots that work for the photos! They were accommodating when we needed to postpone due to COVID, which was a massive relief. It would be helpful to have specified times available for the rehearsals when booking the venue. We reached out to schedule earlier than the contract indicated, and already the day before the wedding was pretty much entirely booked other than a morning slot, which threw a bit of a hitch into our schedule for that day. In addition, it seemed that some of the stress of the 2021 season was impacting the communications and interactions with us leading up to the wedding. However, the day of caretakers were so helpful and checked in occasionally to make sure all was well and the wedding day as a whole was beautiful. Overall, we are pleased with Redfield Estate as a venue!

We had our wedding at The Grove Redfield Estate in July of 2021. I can not recommend this venue enough. They were so easy to work with throughout the whole process. Touring, picking a date, going over the contract, and finally booking was so smooth and they were so helpful with answering our questions and giving us advice. Their list of recommended vendors was so helpful to us. Almost every vendor we ended up using was from their list, and they were all incredible. It was so nice to have people that had worked at this venue before and the grove obviously takes recommending vendors very seriously because every single one of them surpassed our expectations. They were very open and honest about updating us on covid regulations and restrictions, and while luckily we didn’t need to, they stated in our contract that we would be able to reschedule if needed. This gave us a peace of mind while planning under such uncertain circumstances. On our wedding day they went above and beyond to make sure everything was running smoothly and we had everything we needed. On top of just an overall pleasant experience working with them, the space is absolutely gorgeous. All my guests raved about it and my now husband and I were so thrilled with how beautiful everything looked. They work hard to keep the grounds looking great and it shows. We also really liked being able to have our ceremony and reception at one site while being able to use two different areas. This helped with set up as well as gave our guests two different, beautiful settings without having to travel. The only thing I would warn people looking for a venue about, is that their space is available to book on all days of the week, so planning a rehearsal for the day prior was a little tricky. However, they were very open about that from the start and worked hard to help us find a time that worked. I am so glad we went with The Grove for our wedding and encourage anyone looking in the Chicago area to check them out!

The Grove Redfield Estate is absolutely gorgeous. It was super photogenic and beautiful for our mid-July wedding. They have a number of ceremony options, including multiple rain back-up plans and an air conditioned house for getting ready. They are also super affordable for the area. Deborah was very accommodating of our multiple visits and even arranged for us to bring our wedding party so they could see it beforehand. We live streamed our wedding, and there were plenty of outlets (although we provided our own internet). With mosquito patches and bug spray, there weren’t major bug issues. We highly recommend this venue!

We hosted our ceremony and reception at The Grove, and had a wonderful wedding! They offer many different options for ceremony / cocktails / and dining. The grounds are stunning and provide plenty of spots for photos. When choosing an outdoor venue we were nervous about what we would do if it were to rain, but they have an awesome indoor space as a backup. It's peaceful, beautiful, has easy access for vendors, their staff is friendly and helpful, and you can have your ceremony, reception, changing rooms, etc. all in one spot. What more could you ask of a venue?
