About this vendor
Hi! We're the Happers. We're not just another vendor who wants to get the job done. We are all in on your story, your relationship & we're ready to celebrate it. Our motto is relationships first, photos second. We're here to get to know YOU & take photos of your memories. This isn't about what we want to get out of this, it's about documenting your wedding day.
I'm Ali. I'm the one you'll be talking to the most, but really I'm the photographer. I don't believe in staging moments or forcing you into a pose, I believe in creating an atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable to express your love. & then I just take photos of it. It's simple.
My husband Nate has been showing up on wedding days with me for about 8 years, he used to play the role of my second shooter. This year we're relaunching this whole thing & making it about both photos & video. He's worked in the commercial film world for 10+ years, specializing in documentary work. So take that + many weddings & you get a beautiful story about your wedding day, which is really just about your love.
I will say, you won’t just be getting a highlight reel of your day, behind the scenes of you getting your photos taken, set to a beautiful song. You’ll be getting a story, a documentary of sorts, sharing your love, your purpose & your excitement about marriage.
All that said, we're here for you. We're not just going to meet you on the day of your wedding, we're going to be alongside you for the ride, answering questions & reminding you that it's just a wedding. Your love is for a lifetime. & that's what matters.

Our main value when it came to planning our wedding was authenticity, so we knew when it came down to hiring a photographer, we would want someone who we felt comfortable being com...
pletely ourselves with. Ali Happer was a friend to us through the entire process, listening deeply to our intentions, and adapting like a pro every step of the way.
My husband and I had never taken professional photos before, yet we felt genuine and sweet and at ease. I honestly never would have expected that taking portraits could be so fun and guided without being contrived in the slightest. She brought the best out of each of us, and captured the candid moments we dreamed she would notice and shoot throughout our day!
Seeing the result of Ali’s photographs made me feel baffled that I, for even one moment, considered cutting professional photography from our budget. There are plenty of significant ways we will reflect on this occasion - through words written, gifts given, stories shared, etc. But to have these pictures of our community and our time together on this one of a kind day is everything. What she gave us, we treasure.
In addition:
Her communication was clear, timely, and detail-oriented. We could easily set up a call with her to chat through any of our questions, and she always felt accessible.
The cost was great and well worth the value. She went above and beyond for us, especially for travelling 2.5 hours for our event.
Her timing and service was incredible. She turned around a curated collection of photos in a matter of days, and we had all of our photos within one month. She provided low res and high res images of everything so we could share easily online while having the absolute best quality for printing. The results were beyond what we dreamed of!

We picked The Happers because we knew we would feel comfortable with Ali on our wedding day - she was great at being behind the scenes so we would not get overwhelmed. Her photos s...
peak for themselves -- simply beautiful. Highly recommend The Happers - already regretting not adding videography!
I picked The Happers because they were the wedding photographers for one of my best friend's wedding. The exact spot I was married and the exact time of day were picked specifical...
ly to get the kind of pictures I envisioned. Ali picked up on that and I just felt like she was on the exact same page. The weather cooperated and Ali got the gorgeous lighting and artistic detail I was hoping for. It was perfect and I look at back at them and can't believe how lucky I was that I picked such a great photographer.
Ali is an amazing photographer! I can't recommend her enough. She took our engagement photos and they were beautiful. When my husband (who never likes pics of himself) loved them I...
knew we had to lock her in for the wedding. On the big day, Ali and Nathan found a balance between traditional, posed wedding photos and candid, less conventional shots. Of course, she's a dream to work with and the packages are competitively priced. The hardest part is choosing where to put all the incredible photos we have from the wedding.
From the very start Ali showed genuine interest in capturing a day that would reflect who we are as people. She was completely fine with our wedding being out of the box. She was u...
pfront about her prices and the package options were easy to understand. Her images tell a story and very much reflect the people in them. Brides spend the most time with their photographer on their wedding day, and I am very glad my day was spent with Ali.
