Custom cocktails and craft beers will be available for purchase at the 50-foot bar, and with an open-air rooftop right outside the Harper Room, you can take the party outdoors, too. There are not enough words to describe how amazing The Harmac venue and staff are. My husband and I fell in love with the venue the second we stepped into it (I literally cried I could envision everything). It has a look like no other venue does which makes it stand out alone, but the staff is what really makes it the best! Lia was our event manager and I can’t express my gratitude for her enough! She made everything so beyond easy and effortless that I can’t thank her enough! Our wedding day was the absolute best day of our lives not only to marry my best friend but have such an amazing experience that our guests still bring up to this day how “cool” and “unique” our wedding was! The ABSOLUTE best decision ever!!

Our wedding at the HarMac was an absolute dream! From the moment we walked in for our first tour, we were in awe of the unique character – the blend of industrial charm and modern elegance is stunning. The exposed brick, steel accents and the abundance of natural lighting create the perfect ambiance. Travis was incredibly attentive, helpful, and informative during our initial tour. No other venue makes you feel so well taken care of right off the bat. Lia was our point of contact for everything, and she was always available to meet or answer questions and made the planning process seamless. The elevated bar experience was a highlight for us and our guests – it is a beautiful set up with a fantastic selection. The bartenders are amazing and every drink they serve is top tier. The rooftop was a perfect spot for sunset photos. The bridal party suites were super spacious and comfortable to spend the day in. The location of the HarMac could not be beat in downtown Cedar Rapids. There was plenty of on-site parking for all our guests and walkable to nearby bars/restaurants/hotels. We could not recommend the HarMac more! The team genuinely cared about making our day special, and their warmth and expertise put us at ease. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Our guests continue to rave about the amazing experience they had at the HarMac and so do we! We truly could not have imagined a more perfect place for our special day.

We had our reception at The HarMac, and it was an absolutely perfect!! Lia and Travis went above and beyond to ensure that everything went off without a hitch. We could not be more grateful for how wonderful they both were throughout the entire process. Any questions or concerns we had were always addressed right away. The venue itself- absolutely gorgeous and the bar is to die for! Huge plus that it is pet friendly! We would recommend the HarMac to anyone and everyone!!

I got married here in June 2023 and it was the only venue we even really considered!! The tour was so detailed without being overwhelming and then they went above and beyond to make our day go so smoothly. Travis was really upfront about what it would look like/cost to host our wedding at The Harmac and it was clear that they’re wanting to do the best for their couples:) A big sell for us was the fact that there’s a separate indoor ceremony space. We added on the rooftop for our ceremony, but it was so nice to know there was that indoor space in case there was an issue with weather. Plus, we used that space for our first look and photos! We hear from people constantly about how beautiful space was. If you’re looking for an industrial, but still cozy space with an amazing bar, then The Harmac is the place for you:)

We had our wedding at the HarMac and LOVED it! They made the whole process so easy. We barely had to lift a finger and felt like we could actually enjoy our day rather than focusing on all of the details. I would recommend them over and over again! They are truly the best!

Hi, I'm Travis! I founded The HarMac in 2020 and have also owned our sister company, Unique Events, since 2000. The event industry is in my blood, for better or for worse! I grew up in Oxford, IA (about 30 min from Cedar Rapids), but have lived in Cedar Rapids most of my adult life. I, along with my wife and daughter, also love animals! We have fostered almost 110 dogs in a 6 year timeframe!
