We got married on 3.6.2026 and could not have been happier with our experience at The HarMac. First - Travis and Lia were both amazing every step of the way. They were very quick to respond when I had questions, flexible, and more than willing to help me out whenever I had a question or concern no matter how last minute. The staff (bar and general) were awesome. Our guests hit the bar fast and hard, and they handled the volume with ease and professionalism. As the bride, I appreciated how each bartender made sure to notice me right away and never kept me waiting for a drink. The venue is beautiful, easily accessible, and functional. All night long our guests would not stop talking about how impressed they were with the space. Finally - their pricing structure felt super fair and transparent. We could not have asked for a more perfect evening for our wedding!
From the first meeting to Last Call- The Harmac exceeded all expectations of what a wedding experience and venue should be. Every step of the way- Travis and staff were available and accommodating. The venue is beautiful with tons of natural light by day and at night- ELEGANT Lauren ( Harmac Employee) was absolutely awesome to work with. Starting with the initial meeting through the end of the night - it felt like she was part of the wedding and not the venue. She let us plan it the way we wanted it and gave great input and suggestions when asked. She was very responsive to the countless emails and questions and was a calming presence in a world of chaos. It would be a mistake not to mention the bar staff, We had a reception of 200+ with signature drinks and the bar staff nailed it. Never had to wait for a drink and kept the bar stocked and drinks flowing. I would 100% recommend the Harmac to anyone looking for a venue in the corridor.

The Harmac is an overall minimal space with bright, neutral interiors that create a blank canvas for all your wildest creative ideas. Declare your vows at the Harper Room, where rustic steel frame windows gaze out over the busy downtown. Distressed brick walls in the McIntire Room set the scene for your industrial-chic cocktail event, and its spacious layout means you and more than a hundred guests can dine and dance the night away. The on-site get-ready suites feature glamorous vanities for hair and makeup and cozy lounge areas with tons of entertainment. Custom cocktails and craft beers will be available for purchase at the 50-foot bar, and with an open-air rooftop right outside the Harper Room, you can take the party outdoors, too.
From rentals to drinks, The Harmac handles all your wedding essentials, so you can sit back, relax, and savor the moment. The team will also give your caterers access to the 600-square-foot kitchen, where they can enjoy smooth on-site food prep on high-end cooking ranges. - TravisOwnerHi, I'm Travis! I founded The HarMac in 2020 and have also owned our sister company, Unique Events, since 2000. The event industry is in my blood, for better or for worse! I grew up in Oxford, IA (about 30 min from Cedar Rapids), but have lived in Cedar Rapids most of my adult life. I, along with my wife and daughter, also love animals! We have fostered almost 110 dogs in a 6 year timeframe!
