ry friendly and accommodating to our needs. We had discussed her hiring a bartender and other details. Fast forward to the day of the wedding. The owner did not hire us a bartender and blatantly lied saying we never asked for one. She said she’d make some calls and figure something out. She did in fact find a bartender last minute, but sadly she showed up intoxicated and left 3 hours before she was supposed to. When we served our meal and cake both the owner and bartender helped themselves to our food without us offering. We had to pay the caterer per person, so they literally ended up taking someones food. The owner also said that she’d provide an industrial ice maker for the reception. Upon arrival there was no ice maker, so we had to purchase $60 worth of ice to make sure our guests had cold drinks. We rented this venue until 11pm and the owner was very upset that we weren’t leaving at 8 when some of the guests did. The only guests remaining were close friends and family and they were all sitting around a table chatting and catching up. The owner proceeds to pull me (the bride) aside and threaten to kick us out if we get too wild. I informed her that everyone was very calm and would continue to stay that way. One of the reasons we booked this is venue is because cleanup was included. Before my wedding party left, the owner attempted to make all of the groomsmen clean up for her and take the trash out while still in their wedding clothes. Needless to say, I did not let my groomsmen do something that we’d paid to have done. We also rented table cloths from the venue and we’re charged $65 too much. A couple days after the wedding, we had multiple guests including both mine and the grooms parents say the owner and bar tender were rude to them. Was my wedding beautiful? Yes. Was is way my stressful than it needed to be? Absolutely, and all thanks to the owner. My advice would be to save yourself stress and book somewhere else!
