From the gorgeous manor house, to the beautiful landscaping and neutral tones of the Carriage House for reception, we knew we could have a lot of fun with decorating such a beautiful backdrop. We were thrilled to have sunny weather on our May wedding day and Christi, our day of coordinator, made sure everything went to plan. The day was an absolute dream and I would recommend this venue for any couple who wants to share an intimate wedding day in a beautiful landscape with a truly professional team. for the ceremony, a lovely reception hall, and a backup rain plan (just in case). You can change where the ceremony is as late as to 2 hours before the ceremony starts which is incredible as a just in case plan. The venue also provides a day of coordinator and assistant in the cost of the services. Christi who was a our coordinator did a completely phenomenal job. She was super organized and easy to work with. It was easy to get a hold of her whenever we needed to reach out. She was on top of everything and very flexible when we had requests and questions. We rented out the house for the full day (for a slight extra fee), which was totally worth it. The bridal suite was lovely to get ready in, with lots of space, places to store items, and comfortable furniture. The grooms suite was also nice, but not quite as large. We were able to pre-order sparking wine to have in the suites and bring bourbon for the guys. Very relaxing space to get ready. Our wedding went off without a hitch and flowed very smoothly between each transition. The vendors that they recommended were great. We were so happy that we made this choice, and if we had to do it all over, we 100% would be back at the Harvest House.

Even though they do require one caterer and have a list of DJs you have to choose from I was beyond happy with all of them and it made the whole selection process much easier. The venue location was absolutely gorgeous and they have multiple ceremony location options to choose from which made planning very easy.

In terms of the venue, you truly can't beat it - view of the vineyards, spacious indoor reception space, gorgeous outdoor ceremony options, and a cozy cocktail reception area. Our guests were raving about how wonderful the venue was. We absolutely loved every second of it! 10 out of 10.

me nervous, but Joanna was a lovely stand-in at the last moment. They did a nice job of transitioning quickly from an outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour to an indoor cocktail/reception when it started pouring half an hour into the cocktail hour. Communication was good throughout, although broke down a little at the very end. Discuss your clean-up/exit strategy beforehand so that you are on the same page. The location is a bit hard to find for vendors/guests, so be explicit with your directions. Better signage would be a huge plus. Overall, though, a beautiful venue that I would recommend!

Our ceremony was held outdoors at the vineyards, where I walked through a beautiful line of trees to an amazing arbor to meet my husband. We "played" in the vineyards after the ceremony for some breathtaking pictures, surrounded by the natural beauty of Loudoun County, while our guests began to party the night away in the Harvest House (and outdoor patio bar, complete with lawn games!) for the cocktail hour. We met our guests in the adjoining Carriage House for a beautiful reception. The entire experience, from start to finish, was more than my new husband and I could have hoped for - the staff are responsive, professional, helpful and were great at anticipating our needs. Shaye made sure that our event was set up just as we wanted it to be, coordinated our rehearsal with ease, and did everything with a smile! We HIGHLY recommend The Harvest House at Lost Creek for anyone's wedding and reception - from the convenient location of all events in one, private place, to the natural beauty of the vineyard, Harvest House & Carriage House, to the amazing staff - we couldn't have asked for anything more! leaving our wedding, our experience with Lost Creek and their staff (shout out Melissa and Joanna) was nothing short of perfection. I usually try to look for an area of improvement in reviews and I can honestly think of none. As the hub for all the other vendors needed for the wedding, Lost Creek effortlessly coordinated all the behind the scenes activities essentially acting as our wedding planner. Everyone was an absolute pleasure to work with and if you don't take my word for it know that we haven't stopped hearing from everyone who attended how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly the event ran. even in early spring and provided stunning backdrops for our event. The Harvest House provides the wedding party large suites for the bride and groom to dress and prepare before the wedding. Melissa and Lauren were both outstanding to work with throughout the entire process. Lauren, our event coordinator, was professional, responsive, and very personable doing a wonderful job coordinating everything. She was so flexible helping us to make last minute changes the day before because of inclement weather. The venue’s caterer is Celebrations Catering and we would highly recommend them. Vivian was a pleasure to work with and the food was outstanding! Lost Creek wines are excellent and a definite hit with our guest! Overall, we are very pleased and happy we chose Harvest House at Lost Creek Winery for our wedding and reception. Our family and friends raved about the venue, the wines, grounds and food. Their pricing is very competitive and includes many extras other venues don’t. Thank you to everyone at Lost Creek that helped make our wedding day so special.

We were given 3 options of where to get married; in the vineyard, behind the harvest house, on the steps of the harvest house. We were also given a rain option (which we thankfully didn't need) but was such a blessing to have. The venue has a massive bridal suite. Which was perfect for allowing the girls and I time to get ready and prepare for the day. The venue has their own event coordinator, who we were told works for the venue and isn't a "wedding planner." However, this individual went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran on time, that the guests were enjoying themselves, and was so sweet and kind to us and our guests. One thing that my husband and I initially worried about is that the venue has a set caterer. We were concerned that we couldn't "shop" around. The venue/ caterer combination was the best thing we could have done for ourselves. Because they have worked together for more then a hundred weddings everything was so seamless. If we had a question we could ask either the venue or the caterer (even if the question was for one or the other) and we would get an answer ASAP. The reception hall had a natural beauty that did not require any extra internal decorations (other then our centerpieces) to look amazing. Toward the end of the evening the staff at the venue lit up some bonfires in the back of the reception hall. We provided the supplies but everyone was enjoying a s'more or two. Not only is it so nice to sit and talk with my husband about our wedding day it is nice to hear from each of our guests about what their favorite part of the day was. We have heard nothing but complements from our guests regarding their experience at our wedding. Keep up the good work, and thank you again for making our day (and us) feel so special!

ay and in the end everything went perfectly but the events leading up to our big day left much to be desired by the staff at Lost Creek. We booked our wedding a year in advance, when they were still finishing renovations on the Harvest House. We were told that the bathrooms in the building would be completed by the time of our wedding. They were not, and we were not informed of this until the day before our wedding at the rehearsal. We also payed for their in house day-of planning (required). We initially started off working with Kiara who we loved. 6 months in we were informed she had left and would be working with Melissa who at the time was in charge of the event planning. She "forgot" about two of our meetings, in which we ended up at the venue, and when we were there, and called, she found us, apologized profusely and fit us in. Two weeks before our wedding we got an email introducing us to a new event manager Tiffany. We met her in person a week later and she ended up being in charge of our wedding. Both Tiffany and Melissa ran the rehearsal, but Tiffany ran our wedding and she was absolutely wonderful. I believe she is now in charge of events. She set everything up, made sure we were on time, and had everything we needed. She was great! While Melissa left much to be desired, Tiffany was a polar opposite. It was stressful that the transition happened so close to the actual date of the wedding though. Another disappointment was that we purchased wine for the event (from Lost Creek) a month and a half before the wedding. We were notified (via email) 15 days before our wedding that they only had 6 bottles of our favorite wine instead of the 18 that we had ordered and already payed for. While they let us change our order and they covered the cost difference, we had assumed that since we had already paid for the wine it would have been set aside for our event. In general the location is beautiful and we had a wonderful day!! Lost Creek is a great venue, just be wary. Know who your planner at the venue will be ahead of time and make sure you know if/when construction will be done. The cost was great, especially for the Northern VA region.

decorations and such the day before (at the rehearsal). I spent a lot of time organizing everything, putting notes on everything, and typing up a description of what needed to be done. A week before the wedding we were told the coordinator we had been working with was not going to work our wedding. We would have her assistant. We were assured she was wonderful and knew what she was doing. This was NOT the case. The coordinator did very little set up before the wedding started. My husband arrived at the venue 45 prior to ceremony time and everything we had dropped off was still in the back room where we had left it. He had to set everything up and put out fires (as did one of my bridesmaids) until the second he walked down the aisle. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Also, the set up the winery staff did do was done incorrectly even with my detailed instructions. Then, during the ceremony, there was another ceremony going on at the same time about 500 yards away (there is a thin line of trees between the two sites). It was so loud. At the winery we are required to start our ceremony after close (6:00) but there's no reason the other site couldn't start earlier. The noise from both weddings was in competition! We would bow our head to pray and the music would start up next door. It was so embarassing and upsetting. The reception went well (other than the decorations that didn't get set up correctly or at all), but that was mostly because we had an awesome DJ and caterer. I'm so disappointed because the venue is really amazing...the staff just let me down in a huge way.

bsolutely horrible. You also pay an extra fee for a coordinator who is slow to respond and has a bad attitude. My guests arrived and no one showed them where to go. My guests were treated pretty poorly by the staff including some of my elderly guests. It was one of the more expensive places we looked at but because we enjoyed the idea behind it we thought it was worth the money. We were VERY wrong. Like I said, BEAUTIFUL place with great wine but they need to get their staff in gear.

r before we even walked into the Winery's lovely tasting room. The manager, Susan Mitchell, is calm, collected and organized which made the planning much easier and less stressful. In addition, Lost Creek has connections with local caterers, hotels with shuttle service and rental companies. And their price for such a gorgeous, spacious venue can't be beat, not to mention, the amazing wine! We've received endless compliments from friends and family on how beautiful, relaxed and fun our wedding was. It was everything we had hoped for and more. -

hat the inside of the winery possessed. They had a stunning stone fireplace that when lit gave way to a romantic setting for a small intimate ceremony. Their banquet space was just the right size for our wedding reception and was accommodating enough to allow for any color palette and decor items I wanted. Our contact, Susan was very professional and answered all of our questions promptly. They even provide an onsite Day of Coordinator that was so incredibly helpful she really made the event stress free. The staff their that night were very friendly and helpful and the wine served was fantastic! Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Lost Creek as a wedding venue, no matter what time of year!
