It all began in September of 2011 at a wedding expo here. I won the "Dream Wedding" package - passed Hors d'oeuvres (Fig Mascarpone Walnut Tart, Grape, Walnut & Goats Cheese Croquettes, Thai Peanut Chicken Brochette, Smoked Chicken Wontons ...& Pigs in a Blanket), buffet reception for 50 people (Sun Dried Tomato-Ricotta Ravioli, Stewed Tomato, Basil Aioli, Chicken Alsace, Lemon Roasted Salmon with Green Bean and Roasted Red Peppers and Garden Salad), champagne toast and wedding cake! The staff worked with us, helping our planning, for a year. On September 15, 2012 we had our ceremony here as well as the reception. We could not have had a better venue - the food was excellent, the staff courteous and so attentive and helpful; Chef Rich Kunsch (whom we met at the tasting) made lavender ice cream per my request and Manager Brian Dugan oversaw the course of events throughout the evening with courtesy and care. The Country Club is a classy/friendly venue and their staff displays this quality perfectly - for example, when asking our DJ for a request which he did not have, one of the wait staff mentioned that she had the song on her IPod and could the DJ hook it up to his system in order to play the song - TADA!!! Request played!
It was an absolutely wonderful day ~ and even though we won the wedding package, we were treated with the same consideration as someone who was paying $10,000.00 for the venue.
I would recommend the Mount Pleasant Country Club to anyone who wants a class atmosphere and a compassionate and understanding staff.
